This is the aunt on his fathers side. The one he only met for a month when he was 10. I have an aunt who lives in California (I think) from my fathers' side of the family. I saw him last the day i learned to tie my shoe. I don't even know this aunt's last name because she is married. I don't even know if she is alive. I believe that this, as well as 'joe the plumber' info was leaked to the press by someone with connections to these databases. The media has connections obviously.

I love how all these people that believe this crap about Obama's aunt being illegal. It does not matter if she is illegal or not , and here is why. I also believe Obama did not know. He has very little if anything to do with his father's side of the family. He had nothing to do with his father all his life. He had little if any contact from his father's side of the family.It would be like saying , if your father left and moved to the other side of the world, would you have contact with his family? or would you grow up with the dide of the family you live with, which would be your mother. We all know the answer to that. Obama has lived with his mother, and grandmother his whole childhood, and has ramained with that family since. he has hardly ever mentioned his father, let alone his side of the family, for a reason. The simple truth is, he has nothing to do with them, or very little, and probably does not even see them once a year on holidays. he had no contact with most of them. Sorry, this is my third post. I care about this because she's living off of our tax dollars. She's living in public housing. How do you think that's paid for? Two notorious Quebec comedians have pranked Sarah Palin, tricking the Republican vice-presidential nominee into thinking she was speaking with French President Nicolas Sarkozy during a Saturday afternoon phone call.

"Oh my God, seriously, it's probably the biggest we've ever done," Marc-Antoine Audette, a member of comedy duo The Masked Avengers, told CTV.ca Saturday afternoon.

During the nearly seven-minute chat, the conversation ranges from politics to hunting with vice-president Dick Cheney.

The topics also touch on Palin's political future — a sensitive topic for some of John McCain's campaign staffers, who have suggested Palin is already looking at a presidential run in the next four years.

"I see you as a president one day, too," says one of the pranksters to Palin.

"Maybe in eight years," she responds.

The duo, who have a regular show on Montreal radio station CKOI, have also made prank calls over their 10-year history to celebrities like Bill Gates, Tiger Woods, Britney Spears and Sarkozy himself.

"We have such great respect for you," Palin tells the Sarkozy impersonator during the conversation. "John McCain and I, we love you and thank you …"

The impersonator also says he has been closely following the U.S. election through his special advisor "Johnny Hallyday," the French pop icon. He also refers to "Canadian Prime Minister Stef Carse."

Speaking to CTV.ca, Audette later claimed that Palin "didn't know who the prime minister of Canada was." But the prankster spoke quickly during the conversation with Palin, and it's unclear whether she heard the fake name clearly. As governor of Alaska, Palin has worked closely with Canadian officials.

At another point in the chat, the impersonator says in a fake Parisian accent that the pair might use a helicopter to go hunting.

"We should go hunting together," replies Palin. "We can have a lot of fun together while we're getting work done. We could kill two birds with one stone."

But when the fake Sarkozy makes a joke that they shouldn't extend the invitation to vice-president Dick Cheney, Palin says, "I'll be a careful shot."

In 2006, Cheney accidentally shot and injured a friend during a bird hunting trip.

The conversation also touches upon Sarkozy's model-singer wife Carla Bruni.

"You've added a lot of energy to your country with that beautiful family of yours," says Palin.

"Give her a big hug for me."

Nearing the end of the conversation, the impersonator tells Palin she's been "pranked," and an aide quickly cuts off the conversation.

Later in the day, a spokeswoman for Palin emailed politico.com, a blog dedicated to U.S. politics, and confirmed that the chat had taken place.

"Gov. Palin was mildly amused to learn that she had joined the ranks of heads of state, including President Sarkozy, and other celebrities in being targeted by these pranksters. C'est la vie," Tracey Schmitt in the email.

Starting with persistent phone calls to Alaska, Audette said it took the duo — which also includes Sebastien Trudel — about four days of phone calls to Palin's handlers to finally get in touch with her.

I'm sickened by the personal attacks going both ways. It's disgusting that such issues are taking center stage in such an important election. It's about the issues….that simple. Who has the better plan.

I'm a moderate conservative who thinks the Bush administration has gone too far. It's obvious that other moderates have seen the light too and are endorsing Obama. I'm tired of being told I should be afraid by this "republican party". Using fear to gain votes just doesn't sit well with me. I'm far too educated to fall for that.

So many tries by McCain and Palin to dig up dirt on Sen. Obama, and it is all stupid. I agree with the comment earlier that they have attacked two well-respected professors at top notch universities just to further their own political ambitions. That is disgusting. And before anyone says Sen. Obama attacked Joe the Plumber, that is simply not true. After "Joe" promoted himself, the media and individuals found out information about him, Sen. Anyway, I am interested in why no one at CNN or any other MSM outlets have pushed for Palin's medical records. Obviously, she is hiding something. From what I have been able to figure, her first kid was born too soon after her wedding for her not to have been pregnant when she got married. Maybe that's what she's trying to hide.

Ideological liberals are folks who believe that goverment can more honestly and adequately provide for the needs of its people than the peolpe themselves. I enjoy debating these people. They are often intelligent and will always be present in the civic debate. Examples include the last three Democratic presidents. They will vote Obama because they are not represented on the ticket elsewhere.

Fad voters are most often young, immature, easily influenced and can be brilliant or stupid. Lots and lots of college students fall into this catagory. They are always present in every election. They voted Bush into office twice. They yield to savory politics. They will vote for Obama because he is inspiring and sophisticated. They love his rhetoric and ability to communicate his "ideas." The fad vote always goes to the better politician.

Lazy folks may be brilliant or stupid as well. They may be young or old. They could be middle school drop-outs or PHD's. And get this……they will vote this year. They normally do not, because, well, they're lazy. But Obama is brilliant, and though I disagree at nearly every level with his ideology, we should all see his brillaince. He has awakened the lazy of our country by promising them the one thing they "need." They need someone to do for them what they should do for themselves. In this case, the lure is something for nothing. What they hear Obama say is "A vote for me is money for nothing." They don't care about his opinion on Russia, oil, "Green Technology", or any other policy for that matter. They simply want what they don't deserve. They find no shame in taking money they don't deserve.

This is a tough time for someone as conservative as I am. Obama will win, I'm afraid. But take heart, bad ideas never create stability. In a few years, all Americans will have a chance to vote for chance once more. It is my hope, that BO's term as President will be a sort of awakening, if you will. And I hope that someone, whether Democratic or Republican, will emerge as a brilliant orator, as he is, with good ideas. Against the back-drop of what the next years will bring, good ideas will shine.

Personally anyone who can take a person such as Barak Obama serious as a candidate is lost – and I see most of the Americans doing this, is willing to give up the core values and believes of this Country, that founded this Country, why so many of us worked so hard to get here.. to see it thrown away because many young "ill informed" voters, many race fearing people would vote for a "Change" for the sake of change – Remember there was a change from "Stalin" to Hitler, and millions lost their lives, liberty and freedom… Change for the sake of Change = Disaster…. remember that when you vote ! Big deal. My brother is a convicted felon serving federal prison time right now. My other brother and I are college graduates, military veterans with wonderful families and jobs. In fact my one brother is a cop. You can't hold me resposible for the actions of my jail-bird brother.

More important than this non-issue, I want to know:

1.) Why hasn't McCain released his military records? Does it have to do with the fact that he supposedly killed a man several decades ago?

2.) Why hasn't Palin released her medical records? Does this have to do with the fact that she was already pregnant when she got married to her husband.

3.) Why did McCain commit adultry on his first wife?

The only people who will think this is some "major" event are those who aren't going to vote for Obama anyways. It just makes their decision not to vote for him more "justifiable". the release of the data is suspicious at this time. More imporantly… Barack can't be held accountable for the actions of this person, whatever it is she is doing. Ms. Onyango may have a paternal-aunt kinship relation to Obama, but she is nothing more than that. She'll have to work with the immigration authorities and respect the law. As many others are quick to point out, we don't hold John McCain to be accountable for a call placed by his brother to 911 about excessive traffic.

One of the important issues in this case deals with immigration, and all of the complexities pertaining to this issue. That will be a topic for the next president and the next congress to address.

Another issue are the contributions to Obama (I believe the aggregate total = $260) from this non-national person. The Obama campaign is doing the correct thing by reimbursing these funds to Ms. Onyango. This is important to me since I've donated a fair amount of money to the BHO campaign and the public and the world needs to know that "we" – as in American citizens both on US soil and living abroad – funded this campaign in a clean and legitimate manner. Everyone will have to accept the statisticial probability that there will be some donations of questionable origin. McCain's campaign and the RNC are dealing with the same stuff. As long as all of the records of all contributions are thoroughly scrutinized during the final close-out of election 2008, then the American people and the governmental bodies should be satisfied.

We have to trust the process, no matter how difficult that can be at times.

Good luck to the Ms. Onyango. Maybe she'll have the opportunity for another review of her application for asylum.

At this point, does anyone know if Obama really knew she was in the country illegally? I would think that the press and the McCain campaign would have already looked into this issue.

He met his new wife while he and she were in rehab He for alcoholism and she for drugs. and he wasn't the only pow How about the men who lost their lives.
