What i want to know is why are ppl so afraid of a Black POTUS? and why is it being said that if we don't vote for McCain/Palin then we are selling America? To whom are we selling? I keep hearing that becuz Obama is Black (really mixed race) that he will be all for Black/African-American people. So does that mean that ALL of the previous White Presidents were only for White ppl? ALL ppl in America are or their ancestors were immigrants unless you are Native American. But just the IDEA of a prez that is not White scares ALOT of White ppl. Why be afraid? Becuz of the racism that is STILL alive and well in this wonderful country of ours?! Racism is a learned behavior, you are NOT born with it. Just goes to show how many ignorant ppl there still are in the US of A!

How about McCain's ardent promotion of the invasion of Iraq where thousands of Americans have lost their lives and tens of thousands of Iraqis have lost there? What . . . the unborn are more important than they are? Not to mention that McCain/Palin would readily resort to military action in future cases where someone did something that upset them to much. I have followed CNN this whole time and even before the campaign. But as I watch, it seems that CNN is becoming more right-winged. The time they spend on McCain supposed comeback is astonishing. Then there is this story about Obamas aunt. The timing is perfect. They are hoping that the Hispanic vote will turn more toward McCain. The divisive ways of the Republicans is being seriously frowned on by the American people & the world. Mr. Bergen is the best analysts on earth. He weighs everything on point, positive or negative, about both candidates. It's quite evident that Campbell Brown is leaning right. The partisan analysts are ok. They are doing their jobs. But those that are suppose to be non-partisan are not doing a good job.

Voting is a right, but it is also a matter of conscience. So what, in this situation, should people of good faith do with their vote? Until quite recently, there was the rough possibility that Senator McCain might be able to muster enough votes in enough Bush-states to prevent Obama becoming the president. For fiscal conservatives, for libertarians and all those who were scandalised by the policies of big spending, war and now government bailout and who saw both parties as equally culpable, a vote for McCain could be justified only on the basis that he was, in some way, less likely to continue these policies than Obama. There was some sense to holding one's nose as his campaign dragged US politics into the gutter, as he chose a manifestly ill-equipped populist as his VP and voting for 'the lesser evil' on the basis that he might block the Democrat Congress's worst proposals. It is clear now that McCain cannot win. Even the most Republican-friendly polls show that in the states he has to hold to win, he is between 3 and 10 points behind in most of them with less than 3 days to go. If Obama holds all the Kerry states, pretty much any two will give him victory, and if he only wins Ohio, it's game over. That makes a vote for McCain purely symbolic, rather than pragmatic. This will be the last chance for two years for any Republican-leaning voter to declare what kind of policy direction they'd like the country to take. Unless one wholeheartedly grasps and endorses McCain's policies, including his 100 years of occupation, his purchase of toxic mortgages and bank equity and so forth, the question arises -- why should you cast a vote for him. Is this the message you want to send to the leadership of the Republicans as they contemplate how to respond to what is likely to be the most crushing defeat in perhaps 40 years? Do you want Sarah Palin to be a contender in 2012? Most leading Republicans are privately appalled and some are publicly appalled as well. Shouldn't Republicans who don't entirely endorse McCain's policies take this opportunity to vote for Bob Barr, or Ron Paul, or Mike Gravel or someone that really speaks truth to power. And if there isn't anyone whom they can in good conscience endorse, shouldn't simply they find something better to do between now and the time the polls close than vote?

I have watched every event on both sides. I have watched all the news on all the different channels and I have listened to all comments..pro and con. I believe that Senator McCain was trying to be a maverick when he picked Palin and he showed poor judgement. I hope and pray if he is elected he will not be so eager to push the button or take us deeper into war because of his maverick nature and quick temper. Palin is not qualified to be President of the United States and it has been clearly shown by her own words. She clearly lacks the education, the experience would come in time but she would need to return to school to have a better understanding of the world and history. Having voiced my opinion on Palin, my question is about McCain. I was always a fan of his and I am proud of him for his service for our country but has he always been such a liar? Even when the fact in question is proven to him to be false he still cites the fact in his stump speech over and over again. When asked face to face he refuses to say to a reporter what he has just said to his rally. Why????? Would he continue to lie to us when he is President?

For a man that talks about Strategy so much it would seem like McCain would come up with a better Strategy. Obama has clearly put some thought and preparation is to his speech. First thing the armed forces teach you is Strategic positioning which McCain does not seem to know how to use. It goes something like this. Strategic positioning research is conducted to determine whom the customers of your product/service are and what should be told about the product or service to get them to buy from you. Finding the right target and message to build your marketing plan can be crucial in the success of your product. McCain's campaign organizers were late at every turn.

HEADLINE, NOTICE, ATTENTION....LAZY AMERICANS VOTE OBAMA INTO THE WHITEHOUSE. If any of you takes the time to read this you will either: 1. get mad and have no defense, 2. get mad and show ignorance by trying to respond. First please know that I am first and foremost a conservative. I am sometimes a Republican. Second, John McCain is NOT a conservative and sometimes a Republican. I will vote for McCain because he is, in fact, the lesser of two evils (pardon the cliche). Obama has three kinds of supporters: ideological liberals, fad voters and the lazy. He is none of the three. Ideological liberals are folks who believe that goverment can more honestly and adequately provide for the needs of its people than the peolpe themselves. I enjoy debating these people. They are often intelligent and will always be present in the civic debate. Examples include the last three Democratic presidents. They will vote Obama because they are not represented on the ticket elsewhere. Fad voters are most often young, immature, easily influenced and can be brilliant or stupid. Lots and lots of college students fall into this catagory. They are always present in every election. They voted Bush into office twice. They yield to savory politics. They will vote for Obama because he is inspiring and sophisticated. They love his rhetoric and ability to communicate his "ideas." The fad vote always goes to the better politician. Lazy folks may be brilliant or stupid as well. They may be young or old. They could be middle school drop-outs or PHD's. And get this......they will vote this year. They normally do not, because, well, they're lazy. But Obama is brilliant, and though I disagree at nearly every level with his ideology, we should all see his brillaince. He has awakened the lazy of our country by promising them the one thing they "need." They need someone to do for them what they should do for themselves. In this case, the lure is something for nothing. What they hear Obama say is "A vote for me is money for nothing." They don't care about his opinion on Russia, oil, "Green Technology", or any other policy for that matter. They simply want what they don't deserve. They find no shame in taking money they don't deserve. This is a tough time for someone as conservative as I am. Obama will win, I'm afraid. But take heart, bad ideas never create stability. In a few years, all Americans will have a chance to vote for chance once more. It is my hope, that BO's term as President will be a sort of awakening, if you will. And I hope that someone, whether Democratic or Republican, will emerge as a brilliant orator, as he is, with good ideas. Against the back-drop of what the next years will bring, good ideas will shine.

John McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were walking down a Washington D.C. street when they came upon a homeless man.

John McCain gave the man his business card and told him to come to his office to get a job. He then took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the man.

Hillary was very impressed, so when they came upon another homeless person, she decided to help. She walked over to him and gave him directions to the welfare office. She them reached into John McCain's pocket and got out $20. She kept $15 for her administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.

When they came upon another homeless person, Barack told him to "have hope . . . change is coming . . ." and gave him nothing.

QUESTION @ November 1st, 2008 1:31 pm ET: i honestly don't believe there's such a thing as undecided...ppl like already know who they wonna vote for...they just don't a good reason why they wonna vote for that person...so they r looking for any reason not to vote for the other...eg, i've read some ppl in here say they are Sen. Clinton's supporters, but they don't like Sen. Obama...their reason is caus of how Sen. Obama ran the campaign against Sen.
