From

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CNN) – Alaska's Personnel Board concluded Monday that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin did not violate ethics law by trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from the state police, contradicting an earlier investigation's findings.

"There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters," Timothy Petumenos, the Anchorage lawyer hired to conduct the probe, wrote in his final report.

The announcement comes a day before Palin and Republican presidential nominee John McCain face voters in Tuesday's presidential election. Allegations that she fired Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan because he refused to sack her ex-brother-in-law from the state police force have dogged her since before she became McCain's running mate in August.

An earlier probe launched by the state Legislature concluded that Palin unlawfully abused her power by trying to get her sister's ex-husband fired from the state police force. That inquiry concluded that her firing of Monegan stemmed in part from his refusal to get rid of her former relative, but was within her authority as governor.

Everyone knew that Barbie Palin would get off! I only pray that we will finally send her and her familty home for the last time on the plain at our expense!!

m.c.   November 4th, 2008 12:26 am ET

Sarah Palin will make history tomorrow, when she is elected the first female Vice President in America's history!!! The election is not over, it's TODAY-the pundits pulled the same nonsense on Hillary, saying the primary wasover, right before the super-delegates gave it to Obama. Pennsylvania will GO RED!!!!

suzyku   November 3rd, 2008 11:49 pm ET

Oh sure! This was "her" people and therefore means absolutely nothing, just like her! Big zero fraud.

Carole   November 3rd, 2008 11:45 pm ET

Come on – it takes two boards to clear her name. What was promised in return for a favorable response? I'm so tired of people not doing the right thing all the time. Character Counts! folks. Remember that golden rule – do unto others as you would have done to you – she has no clue what that means. If we thought Cheney was bad – look out!

mary   November 3rd, 2008 11:30 pm ET

I,ve been wanting to say this for a long time,Palins 15 minutes are up.Thank God.

RJW   November 3rd, 2008 11:29 pm ET

Who did she threaten to fire if they found her gulity? I guess the repugs think that American Peoples are fools and can't see through this so call big surprise the day before the election. Try someting else, we are much smarter.

Joe   November 3rd, 2008 11:11 pm ET

Whatever…too late for her anyway. How amazing…the republicans that support her actually think she has foreign policy experience because she can see Russia from Alaska…what a joke these people are! LMAO…That's got to be one of the stupidest things a politician has ever said!

Susan   November 3rd, 2008 10:57 pm ET

At the very last minute, she is cleared by a board that reports to her.

How truly very convenient.

Now she releases a one-paragraph medical report.

Why all this on November 3rd? So she can say she complied?

LOSER!!!!! Vote tomorrow, people! Let's send this farce back to Alaska where she belongs.

L VA   November 3rd, 2008 10:53 pm ET

This is wonderful news. Gov. Palin is a true reformer that won't put up with business as usual. She is super vigilant! She's going to make a great vice-president. Let's clean up Washington – starting with Pelosi, Reid, and Obama! McCain-Palin '08!

Tariq   November 3rd, 2008 10:50 pm ET

It is pretty hard to find someone guilty of abuse of power if they do in fact abuse power

NJVote08   November 3rd, 2008 10:49 pm ET

Amazing how she is cleared of Troopergate and that her doctor finally releases a medical report on the eve of the election… Hmmm

Karmadave   November 3rd, 2008 10:46 pm ET

After tomorrow the good citizens of Alaska can deal with Palin. If I never hear the name again it will be too soon…

Gee, exonerated by political appointees that are subject to reappointment by Palin.

Good enough for me…….

Chela   November 3rd, 2008 10:43 pm ET

I'm sick of our country being run by jerks who think they're above the law. Go back to Alaska and suck on an iceberg, lady!

Roger from CA   November 3rd, 2008 10:42 pm ET

Gee! What a shock that her hand-picked personnel board issues a report clearing her the night before the election!

Truly impressive, that a board that serves at HER pleasure would clear her of charges. Nice putting no one above the Law!

joanne   November 3rd, 2008 10:32 pm ET

I voted 2wks ago andI feel it's important to vote. I am a single mother of 5 girls. I pray for their future and the future of the usa…. We need someone we know and can trust. Vote John McCain , he'll take care of our families.

Palin what books do you read? Gosh dang it, another gotcha question.   November 3rd, 2008 10:30 pm ET

Can't wait for Obama nation to swat this reject back to Alaska now and in 2012.

Palin/WRONG WOMAN   November 3rd, 2008 10:30 pm ET

How much did that cost???

Independent white female patriotic voter   November 3rd, 2008 10:21 pm ET

Great! that means she can go back to Alaska and continue her work. I think she does much better there, far enough from Washington.

Hilary   November 3rd, 2008 10:17 pm ET

The day before the election…..how surprising.

NickNas   November 3rd, 2008 10:14 pm ET

WOW suprise!!! The Investigation that SHE controls finds her INNOCENT the day before the election LOLOLOL

Are these people for REAL??

rer2174   November 3rd, 2008 10:13 pm ET

If Obama wins, Palin may become a candidate in 2012. The difference this time is that she won't just be appointed after a fifteen minute vetting. She will need to debate on an ongoing basis against some of the smartest people in this country. No more Hannity and O'Reilly.

Chipster   November 3rd, 2008 10:07 pm ET

Found innocent by her staff – gee, that's meaningful.

joe   November 3rd, 2008 9:58 pm ET

Take it America-Barack HUSSEIN Obama is the president-only thing is the worlds most powerful job shouldn't have gone to a person without a track record or experience.obama is a mystery.unproven,untested.look what we got by electing an untested bush.not again!but too late.lucky guy.he overcame everything .rev wright, ayers, rezko, khalidi, bitter comments, typical comments and he made his wife proud for the second time in her adult life.

shelia   November 3rd, 2008 9:52 pm ET

What a surprise!!!!!! Wow Duh…she needed people on her side for this one.[Partisan Board].People in Alaska are above the law ..Ted Stevens "I will appeal my convictions" so sad!!!!

Obama/Biden2008…Yes we can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ann,   November 3rd, 2008 9:52 pm ET

So for democrat Obama supporters, by the comments above it is clearly obvious the only ruling you will believe is the partisan democratic one that found her guilty. How nice to be able to pick and choose which investigations you will believe or not. So it appears the only good outcome is the one you want to hear whether honorable or not. Is that what we can expect from Obama if elected – he'll decide which laws or rules he will follow depending on whether he agrees with them or not? Sounds like Bush Lite to me.

Irene, TX   November 3rd, 2008 9:50 pm ET

It's scary to think. She is above the law. Sad day for Alaskan.

Andrew   November 3rd, 2008 9:49 pm ET

So if everyone is calling this a shame, what the fact Obama had an aunt living in the country for four years after being told to go home, living in public housing, and gave money to his presidential bid. Did her return the money and how much of that $650M came from people like that/ I hope some looks into this.

bill   November 3rd, 2008 9:49 pm ET

It is amazing what results you get when you get to investigate yourself. Nixon and Ted Stevens should have investigated themselves, instead of allowing another branch of government

Texas Teacher   November 3rd, 2008 9:45 pm ET

AMEN! *LOL*

Sally from Cali   November 3rd, 2008 9:45 pm ET

McCain does not wear a flag pin (watch the debates). Is this a double standard? Obama has to be ultra patriotic. You Republicans are a joke. Country First, right. What till the rest of you look up in the encyclopedia what secessionist means. Then the joke will be on you. Your VP's husband wants Alaska to be it's own country not a united state. LOL

Bruce   November 3rd, 2008 9:42 pm ET

What a shock that her own board found her innocent. They probably found her well educated in international affairs and a snappy dresser. After all, she did get that phone call from France.

She is a hate-monger. She rouses crowds by encouraging their hatred and prejudices. Hitler worked the same angle.

Lilarose in Bandon, Oregon   November 3rd, 2008 9:37 pm ET

Riiiiiiiight!

Sarah wanted the Personnel Board to adjudge her because she knew they would be on her side.

I would like to lead a pack of red-blooded American pigs in lipstick to chase Sarah back to Alaska!

rick,collingdale,pa   November 3rd, 2008 9:37 pm ET

Well let's see… Cindy ran around with the then married John McCain.
Sarah Palin was pregnant when she married her huband, their teenage daughter is pregnant and not married.
Real family values these Republicans.

Reed   November 3rd, 2008 9:36 pm ET

Where's her medical records… everyone has turned them in except Sarah….maybe ABORTION?

Cindy McCain Dope ADDICT   November 3rd, 2008 9:15 pm ET

.. “And in the land shall rise the son of Cain” From the north The Deceiver[Palin] a known Beast of false witness, will take the mark of Cain.
Together they seek to spread fear and invoke hate among the refugees of sin.
In their quest for power they will ignore the light of truth shining on the deeds and words they proclaim.
But take heart, for throughout the land the seekers of light shall rise up and not be fooled. With their strength, the mark [Cain] will be cleansed from the earth and no longer hold power to sway the blind.
Can I get an amen…? :)

John S   November 3rd, 2008 9:15 pm ET

Like 85% of North America didn't know this was coming. Give me a break. Everyone knew the outcome of this probe because she picked this board herself. Wake up peoiple. Geez, how stupid are some people.

gl, Pittsburgh   November 3rd, 2008 9:15 pm ET

Just like Republicans – above the law. She is not fit to be the VP. Where is her medical records.

JN   November 3rd, 2008 9:15 pm ET

hey everyone…after tomorrow..it won't matter anymore…she can go back to the corrupted Alaska and stay there…she will be facing charges just like Ted…we will see her in court and found guilty for corruption..it's only a matter of time….goodbye sarah…!!!! go home and plan your daughter's wedding and baby shower on the same day or is that baby shower and wedding on the same day????

Cynthia a conservative voter   November 3rd, 2008 9:14 pm ET

Nice try at a coverup for Palin by her Republician buddies. Why won't Palin release her medical records like the other's running for office did? She must be hiding something.

Daryl from Seattle   November 3rd, 2008 9:09 pm ET

Isn't the Personnel Board appointed by Palin??? This is no different than when the McCain camp released their own version of the the first report, finding her innocent. What a joke.

Mes   November 3rd, 2008 9:09 pm ET

Are they going to release all the details of their report? Can we hear the testimonies?? The other report we could all read… Just saying…

Moon Maiden from Lake Michigan   November 3rd, 2008 9:09 pm ET

One thing she is guilty of is stupidity. Listen to the prank phone call and see for yourself how gullible and silly she was. Can you really see this person as President of the United States? This prank call has been played throughout the world and she has become a laughing stock for every country out there. If she is elected, I think they will remove the US from the Security Council for ignorance worse than any third world country. We cannot let the 'underinformed" steal this election.

The righty wack-jobs will continue to rally around her because she upsets the lefties so much.

Is a lie still a lie if you believe it's true?

Rami   November 3rd, 2008 9:03 pm ET

You must be kidding me. So, are we to believe that the same board that Palin has appointed is going to find her guilty. This is a joke and I know the American people will see throught this. Additionally, this issue is just one issue of so many that shows that Palin is dangerous to our country. We are sick and tired of the Bush and Chenny politics and McCain and Palin are promising us a much worst era of this politics.

Dominican for Obama   November 3rd, 2008 9:03 pm ET

Susan aka Republican think or hope we're as dumb to change our votes just because a group of Sarah (stupid) Palin clear her….Sorry I voted for Obama last week, and even if I have not, I still will vote for Obama.
Sarah Palin is an idiot, who can not tell us what newspapers or magazines she had read. Maybe we should all send her a copy of the Constitution of the United States, so she can learn what our founding fathers had in mind when they said "The Vice-President of the United States shall be the President of the senate, but shall have not VOTE unless they be equally divided"
OBAMA-OBAMA-OBAMA OUR NEXT PRESIDENT….

Aaron from Ohio   November 3rd, 2008 9:03 pm ET

All three members of the board that cleared her are answerable to…the Governor of Alaska, which just happens to be Sarah. They know she won't be staying in Washington for the next four years because the republicans are going to lose and lose big tomorrow. So let's see…the boss is coming home and she's not going to be in a good mood. She has a habit of firing people who don't support her without question. They clear her hours before the voting starts. I wonder who's getting a nice raise this year?

xavier   November 3rd, 2008 9:01 pm ET

While we are at it, why dont we let Charles Manson's followers have the final word on his next parole hearing. Why dont we let Al-Kaida be judge and jury at Bin Ladin's trial if he is ever caught. Better yet, why dont we let Dick Chenney have the final word on whether Bush lied so as to get us into Iraq? Palin is dirty, and the GOP knows it even if they wont admit it.

Barbara P.   November 3rd, 2008 9:00 pm ET

Well I guess we all knew this was coming. Just what kind of ethics do people in Alaska have anyway? Here in the lower 48 ethics are very important. I wonder if this had been in Joe Biden's past if the same finding would have been reached. Well, maybe after the election they'll take this up again, when Sarah goes north to Alaska.

The World for Obama   November 3rd, 2008 8:59 pm ET

Just in time for the election … a complete farse. She's a crook, just like her mentor Stevens.

NE for BO   November 3rd, 2008 8:59 pm ET

@Mary, NY

You're delusional. She will never be accepted by mainstream America because she doesn't represent but 20 percen of you crazy right-winged fanatics. The only reason she wins in Alaska is because she abuses her power. That's not a true American. Let's sell her and Alaska back to Russia.

Aaron   November 3rd, 2008 8:58 pm ET

HA! BIg friggen suprise. Obama 08!

Amy   November 3rd, 2008 8:58 pm ET

Is this really a surprise? Did anyone honestly think that a personnel board whose members Palin appointed would make a decision against her? They aren't stupid. They know that she holds grudges.

Ricky   November 3rd, 2008 8:57 pm ET

See that's how Republican thing is to try run away from the problems….See why I don't vote for them is because all they want is to seize the power and they love say NO NO NO NO NO NO NO to everything what People needed. They also worry too much about taxes. Give me a break !

Canadians worry about yourselves   November 3rd, 2008 8:57 pm ET

I am amazed at the amount of Canadians that post on these boards. I could care less about what you have to say. I would never spend a minuted in your country. It is typically the country the foreigners gain citizenship when the US won't take them. Use your own boards, leave ours alone..

Karen, NC   November 3rd, 2008 8:55 pm ET

I'm glad no one else is buying this election eve "surprise" — and the best thing that could happen to the Dems and the American people is if she is the Rep candidate for president in 2012 — it will be a very easy win for Obama!!! The worst of it would be having to listen to her crazy talk and hatemongering through a full election …

Pat in IL   November 3rd, 2008 8:55 pm ET

If I ever go before a jury, I hope it's handpicked by me! This is such a joke. It sure makes me wonder what politics, etc. is like in the state of Alaska. The first panel was bipartisan and NOT handpicked by her….funny that they found her guilty of ethics violations and this one didn't. Is she that dumb, or does she just think we are?

leonard   November 3rd, 2008 8:54 pm ET

It dasnt matter, the voice off Obama sounds also here in my country France. In Europe never voted a black man or woman for president or premier ministre. And so, Europe is match more racist then the Americans think that the are. And Palin can better go back where she is comming from, to Alaska, she is so a naieve woman. Maybe we can do a change, Obama preident for France and Sarkozy to the USA.

Rudy   November 3rd, 2008 8:50 pm ET

The American people are not so stupid as to believe this new so-called report. This group was appointed by Palin and her cronies. The Republicans and McCain/Palin are morally and ethically bankrupt. Let's hope that everyone gets out to vote for Barack Obama for President so we can put an end to the Republican culture of corruption!

Maggie Muggins From Selwyn   November 3rd, 2008 8:50 pm ET

How much did this cost the GOP to get this out at this time? They are certainly the most corrupt group of politicians in any part of the world and the U.S. is certainly welcome to them.

MAX   November 3rd, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Palin is the biggest joke in politics, i wonder what old Macain was thinking when he taped her. That shows his judgement . Go Barack/Joe.

sanramonca   November 3rd, 2008 8:46 pm ET

So if she should accede to the presidency, we will probably have more than a few enlisted men with a pin-up of the Commander-in-Chief over their bunks. Morale aside, is that appropriate?

MAC   November 3rd, 2008 8:38 pm ET

Hey Susan,

You are an idiot! Now that is a good reason to switch, the media was unfair to Palin, WAAA!, It proves you are an individual with IQ of 20 and is so myopic. Don't bite your nose to spite your face. McCain is a loose cannon, cannot keep a straight campaign message. HisV P choice has ADD and cannot make complete sentences. They are dumb and dumber.

Skyview   November 3rd, 2008 8:37 pm ET

The board members were all appointed by Palin; was there ever any doubt about what decision it would make? At any rate, the Legislature is a seperate and independent part of government….I trust a bi-partisan decision from it before I would accept a decision made by the executive department, which is headed by Palin. The lady with lipstick is unethical and is guilty as sin.

Julie   November 3rd, 2008 8:37 pm ET

It will be interesting in future days to read Branchwater's response that he used the wrong legal yardstick (per Personnel Board Esquire Petumenos).

This will continue ad nauseam for Alaskans.

Tomorrow our eight years in the desert will come to an end. Go Vote!

Obama/Biden '08

Bob   November 3rd, 2008 8:35 pm ET

Her political enemies in the Legislature say the worst they could find was she was guilty of letting Todd Palin use the phone.
The personnel board finds she is not guilty.

No matter what you think of her, there's no there there folks.
Troopergate was manufactured by allies of the Governor (Murkowski)
she unseated.

gc   November 3rd, 2008 8:35 pm ET

It doesn't say that she didn't do it, just that she didn't break the law. In Alaska you are allowed to use your power to push people around.

iowa expat   November 3rd, 2008 8:33 pm ET

this really stinks. throw a little sunlight on it.

alex   November 3rd, 2008 8:31 pm ET

I cannot stand this sarah palin. She is full of lies and believe is the big thing. Besides she lacks the experience we need in a vp.

Robin   November 3rd, 2008 8:31 pm ET

So her own hand picked commission cleared her of charges…. can we say conflict of interest?

Christine   November 3rd, 2008 8:30 pm ET

I guess the two probes cancel each other out, so we're back at square one with this thing.

I'm more interested in finding out why Sarah Palin has still refused to release her medical records? Could CNN please track those down for the voters?

Chicken Little's Hardhat Company   November 3rd, 2008 8:30 pm ET

Petumenos: Now tell me the truth, did you fire Monegan because he wouldn't fire your ex-brother-in-law?

Gov. Palin: Nope.

1st Dude: Not me.

Petumenos: Well, that works for me. Case closed.

Frances Nebraska   November 3rd, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Wouldn't that be nice to appoint your own jury.

Steve Kieselstein   November 3rd, 2008 8:29 pm ET

What poor reporting. How could this story possibly omit the fact that Palin appointed this board, but that the first set of findings was by a bipartisan panel of the Legislature?

irene   November 3rd, 2008 8:29 pm ET

What a joke. This second panel was hired by Sarah Palin because the first panel found that she acted unethically. They must think we're really stupid if we are going to buy this. You also gotta love the timing on this. Hopefully, Sarah Palin will be nothing more than an unplesant memory tomorrow.

Terry B.   November 3rd, 2008 8:29 pm ET

Wow, considering depositions were conducted by this investigator on Oct. 24 and there is already a finding? Alaska justice is swift, maybe they should move to the lower 48 and teach us a thing or two down here. NOT!!! Paaaalease, an investigator hired by the very board that Palins Republican predecessor appointed. No wonder she wanted everything to go before them. If they came to the conclusion she didn't like hell, she could fire them and appoint her own…

nancybell   November 3rd, 2008 8:28 pm ET

malclave   November 3rd, 2008 8:27 pm ET

So, why should we believe this probe, rather than the one controlled by an Obama supporter, who promised an "October surprise"?

Since Obama is clearly the One, anything which does not aid his Transcendence to President of the World is obviously a Rovian plot.

Isn't that how you liberals see the world?

Trasa, Texas   November 3rd, 2008 8:26 pm ET

I said from the beginning she would be cleared, how convenient. Anyways, doesn't matter because Obama will wipe the wrinkles and the lipstick off both their faces.

Go Obama/Biden

Mary, NY   November 3rd, 2008 8:26 pm ET

Sarah Palin will return in 2012 to claim the Presidency. Obama is doomed to failure and will be either impeached or not re-elected for his failure to revive a sinking economy. As people are selling apples on street corners, Sarah will return and finally reform Washington.
Sarah always wins in the end—check the record.

Nick   November 3rd, 2008 7:52 pm ET

The Obama campaign never made a big deal about the original probe, so this latest news won't even make a bleep on the radar. It's not like Obama has been hammering Palin over this.

Paul   November 3rd, 2008 7:52 pm ET

I mean how many skeletons have to come out of his closet for these people to actually consider their blind faith? Lastly, could anyone tell me exactly what achievement (besides actually running for president) Obama has done that would lead you to believe he can fix the economy, achieve energy independence, and defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic?

Tony_N_ATL   November 3rd, 2008 7:52 pm ET

I don't even believe your name is Susan, it's more likely Rush or Newt.

Sarah's exonerated by a group of lackeys SHE APPOINTED. This is Two-Bit, Tin-Horn Dictator stuff. It would have been about the worst thing to ever happen to America if she had become Vice President.

Sarah needs to be investigated for her ties to a domestic terrorist organization, the Alaska Independance Party.

vote! OBAMA-BIDEN NOV.4th   November 3rd, 2008 7:51 pm ET

RudyNY   November 3rd, 2008 7:51 pm ET

How utterly transparent.

Boricua4Obama   November 3rd, 2008 7:51 pm ET

Isn't that the same personnel board that she appointed and that she can fire at will?

Oookay!

OHIO BABE   November 3rd, 2008 7:51 pm ET

I AGREE ITS THE BOARD SHE WANTED TO DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE, SO WHICH ONE DO THEY GO BY???

scott   November 3rd, 2008 7:50 pm ET

Susan, RAOTFLMTO… you are sooo desparate!

Cheryl in Florida   November 3rd, 2008 7:48 pm ET

Perhaps she can hire and fire at will but was her husband entitled to use his influence ,sometimes from her office, to try to get this man fired; the answer to that is NO. That is why she was found to have unethically used her office in the first probe, she did not reign in her husband while having knowledge of what he was doing. There is no change coming from McCain and Palin just more unethical behavior as their campaign demonstrated.

PL   November 3rd, 2008 7:48 pm ET

I just read where Cindy McCain says the media has given Sarah Palin a bad rap. If she feels that bad about how she was treated maybe after they lose the election she can share her drugs with her. That should help her through these ruff times after the election.

NE for BO   November 3rd, 2008 7:47 pm ET

@susan. You're a joke. She appointed this board. You were never for OB. You're not changing anyones mind.

Y   November 3rd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

Thank you for reminding us she has baggage. I nearly forgot.

Obama/Biden 08!!

Mary   November 3rd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

The Personnel Board? Of which Sarah Palin is in charge? And can hire and fire at will? hmmm….the objectivity is lost on me.

Doug - Dallas   November 3rd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

It's good to be the one who appoints the members of the Personnel Board. It's the sure way to be found not guilty by your friends and those who depend on you for their job!!!

Inutah   November 3rd, 2008 7:30 pm ET

I just want her to go back to Alaska and stay there…and be more present for her family….

William J.   November 3rd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

You mean the personnel board that SHE appointed?

Give me a break.

eugene   November 3rd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

these people are planning to steal this election tommorrow, this is why they are clearing her tonight,i was just told the gop is planning to steal about 13 million votes,4 years ago they stole 2 million, somebody have got to do something because those debo machines are going to do a job on obama tommorrow.

John Smith   November 3rd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

How much "fortune" did Cindy and John have to pay to get this one out? A little too late?

regina   November 3rd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

who cares at this point…

Obama/Biden 2008-2016   November 3rd, 2008 7:29 pm ET

No justice,No peace!

Matt   November 3rd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Too bad the press spent months attacking someone for not being Barack Obama. This year has been the biggest media bait and switch ever. Focus on a person with experience and look for faults in their record rather than look at someones record that shows they have no experience.

Loletha   November 3rd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

We do not belive them why now? nor will we ever TRUST her with our lives if something did happen to Mcshame

mark   November 3rd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Consider the sources of the two decisions:

The first (ethics violation; not a violation of law) was made by a bi-partisan group of elected officials with a one Repub majority.

The personnel board was appointed by Gov. Palin.

gee, what a surprise.

Ace   November 3rd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Bullies like her and her husband can hide for awhile but sooner or later justice is served. The meek inherit the earth, Amen.

Susan   November 3rd, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Good! And we strongely agree that the media has been unfair to Sarah Palin.

We were for Obama until a few weeks ago.

Now for the one who we feel is the most experienced and that's what we need in a President.

McCain/Palin

lor   November 3rd, 2008 7:27 pm ET

that is the biggest load of crap!! More strings being pulled by the GOP!! How shocking..NOT!!!!! Go home Palin.
Obama/Biden 08

BTHogan   November 3rd, 2008 7:27 pm ET

Well, second probes are usually more credible anyway. Or something.

Tom   November 3rd, 2008 7:26 pm ET

The timing how convenient!

Phil Newton from Murphy, Oregon   November 3rd, 2008 7:26 pm ET

Good.

Palin will return to Alaska cleared and ready to resume her governorship.

On November 4.

informed voter   November 3rd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

wasn't this the handpicked board by Palin?

no more rncshame   November 3rd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

shocking – - the people she hired and can fire find that she did no wrong

Rob   November 3rd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

The personnel board that she appointed? LOL. It will be interesting to see how the current complaint goes, since she had the state pay for the travel of her children and their accomodations. Of course, for that, we'll need a non-biased panel.

Funny   November 3rd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

LOL, the SNL where Amy shot the moose was hillarious. I love moose, and that moose was so funny because it was actually dancing before it fell.

Unfortunately Sarah kills real moose and that I don't like.

Obama/Biden 08

BS   November 3rd, 2008 7:25 pm ET

THE ORIGINAL FIRST PROBE SAYS OTHERWISE.

Darren   November 3rd, 2008 7:24 pm ET

This is the personnel board that she appointed and then hired to hold court for her AFTER the other one found she did, in fact, violate ethics laws??????

Just like Bush – above the law.

No thanks.

Get Real   November 3rd, 2008 7:24 pm ET

Sure…..This is what I call Biased.
That lady is guilty as sin. Just another way for the repubs to cover up coruption just like Bush/Cheney
