so what happens when the election's over and Obama is president and you all realize that he doesn't have the power to implament all the thing's he's talking about. as a matter of fact almost everything he's said with the exception of the things concerning the war only congress has the power to do. so good luck to all of you and I can't wait for the swing the other way..

This has been the MOST ONE-SIDED BIASED election in the history of this nation. 90% of the media reporting has been FOR Barack Obama. This is downplaying his "win".

HILLARY should have been the nominee if it were not for the meddling of the DNC (Pelosi, Dean, Kerry, Kennedy), the media and the bully tactics of the Øbama campaign.

It is shameful that this country would elect a president based on media and party choice. Let us hope at least that he can fulfill his promises... which I doubt he will, or can.

At least some prominent officials are noticing that the Democrats should not carry sole blame for the last eight years. Republicans have had congress for all but two of the last 14 years, and one party government from 2000-2006. Sarah Palin is just fear-mongering over this "left-wing takeover" nonsense.

Whatever anyone else has to say about the Clintons, it must be noted that Hillary Clinton will have had a huge part in making history this time around. She lost, walked away, took time to revamp and put differences aside to help elect the candidate she felt best reflected the values she was trying to champion for our great country. Yes, I was one of those "Hillary" voters, yes I wanted her to win becuase I felt she represented the best hope for the future. It took me some time to come to terms with all of that, but not long to realize that I could not put another Republican in the White House. Maybe, surprisingly, it should be noted that, at least initially had as much to do with the deconstruction of John McCain by the Republican hate machine as it did with my admiration of Obama. I sat and watched, as did many, while this noble, patriotic American, twisted and turned his values, his "maverick" ideals, to cow tow to the "base" and it turned my stomach. And then came Sarah Palin, a pick, I am sure that was much more about reaching people like me and further solidify the base, than it ever was about confidence in her ability to lead or even to do the job. Well, it was way off the mark with people like me. Somehow, I could never see myself casting a ballot for someone who hunts animals from above in an airplane. I do realize people enjoy hunting and as a sport, while not for me, I respect a person's right to do it. What I cant see is how the sport of it applies when the animal never has a chance. I cannot see myself voting for someone who is so disengaged that they tout the "fact" that they have foreign policy experience because they can see Russia from their state. That she said it could have been a gaffe, that she meant it was truly frightening. We are standing on the precipice of history, this election is the chance to sent the "uniters" home wiht their tails between their legs and move this country forward, together.The Clintons have been a large part of making that history and no doubt will be a large part of it for decades to come. It is almost over and I swear I can hear, very softly Streisand crooning Happy Days are Here again in the background.

To Kathy who predicts a large surge in the stock market on Wed. I wouldn't count on it. Investors don't like it when a president's policies are to overtax the wealthy and the corporations. You know them, the ones who create jobs, make large donations to charity, and generally keep the country's economy afloat. Look and see how much Obama gave to charity last year. He thinks it is the government's job to provide for everyone's needs. I am not wealthy, but I have my own business and work hard for every penny I make. I don't need the government to take it to give to others. I do plenty of charitable work on my own.

I truly hope the Republicans get a solid trouncing so that the moderates can say to the neo-con, far-right, fundamentalists:

We need two parties, its never good for one party to have total control. But right now I'd much rather have solid Dem control than have the loony right in power. We need to get the moderate Repub's back in control of that party. Then we can have some real progress once the fringers are gone.
