CNN projects Harkin win in Iowa

Harkin retains his Iowa senate seat.

(CNN) - CNN projects that four-term incumbent Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin will defeat Republican Christopher Reed in the Senate race in Iowa.

CNN projections are based on exit poll data from key areas.
