(CNN) - CNN projects than Democratic Sen. Jack Reed will win a third term in the Rhode Island race, defeating Republican Robert Tingle, who also ran against Reed in 2002.

CNN projections are based on actual results and exit poll data from key areas.

still can't believe how so many people can "over look/forgive/ignore" the warning signs about obama. there is no way he can deliver all his lofty promises to this country. pied piper to the disenchanted.

It amazes me how we are still thinking that democrats are so far to the left...total miss! Democrats are centrists and I hope we will hear the message being sent by the population who made it clear the country has been going in the wrong direction and was sticking to much the right only and not centering the country....I never believe in any types of extremes positions from any government decisions...milliions of people are telling you all of that and they voted democrats because they heard from the democratic party life in America will be more centered for more people.

Yes, and his Republican opponent spent $25 on his campaign, and won 33% of the vote with it. THAT is a story.

your numbers for obama are off by one electoral vote. it is 200 not 199
it is off in the bottum right hand corner.
