Rep. Tom Feeney (R-FL) loses his re-election bid.

NEW YORK (CNN) - In what appears to be a stunning defeat, CNN projects that Florida Rep. Tom Feeney has lost his re-election bid. The three-term Republican was defeated by Democrat Suzanne Kosmas.

Though not himself charged with any wrongdoing, Feeney was linked to disgraced and imprisoned former lobbyist Jack Abramoff. During the campaign, Feeney ran a TV ad apologizing to voters for going on an Abramoff-sponsored golf trip to Scotland in 2003.

seriously people, get informed! feeney met abramoff for the first time on the trip in 2003. he was NEVER connected to him in any way, and as soon as he realized that abramoff was a bad character, he donated any money that was raised that could be connected to abramoff to charity. get your facts before you judge. you are exactly the type of response the DNC was aiming for when they invested millions of dollars in defaming an integrous man.

Feeney was one of the few who voted against the bailout bill. He also is strongly against illegal aliens and favors strengthening the borders. Although I'm not a republician, he got my vote for this.

No matter what party affiliation one represents, there should always be accountability, and honesty would be nice too.
