McCain aides see 'no path to victory'

(CNN) – Two senior aides to John McCain see "no path to victory," given the night's results so far.

The two advisors, who were crunching numbers for the Republican contender, were responding to a question via e-mail from CNN's Dana Bash, who has been covering the McCain campaign.

The aides asked not to named because the campaign is not commenting on internal discussions.

Three states that went Republican in 2004 have gone for Democrat Barack Obama, according to CNN projections - Iowa, New Mexico and Ohio.

AMERICANS HAVE PROVED WE DON'T LIKE DIRTY CAMPAIGNING AND JOHN MCCAIN SHOULD HAVE STOPPED WHILE HE WAS AHEAD. BUT NO, JOHN MCCAIN USED POOR JUDGEMENT AND PICKED SARAH PALIN WHO CALLED OBAMA EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK BECAUSE HER LACK OF EDUCATION LEFT HER WITH NOTHING MORE. THESE TWO SO CALLED MAVERICKS CAN SLUG IT OUT TOGETHER, OBAMA AND OUR COUNTRY HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO.

  10. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, VOTE A STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC TICKET!

Finally, McCrypt and I agree on one point, we both have Obama "right where we want him"!!!

There are a some of words I hope to never hear again."surge", "maverick","pork", "PUMA", and any word ending in "ing" where the "G" is not pronounced!

And I will start a petition to ban the use of these two words in conjuntion, "my" and "friends"!

A personal request, to the Reptilian Paryt, please run what's her name again in 2012.

    Pretty please!

A loss in this election does not change that Senator McCain is a good man, an excellent politician and patriotic American. Hopefully, Obama will realise the value of having this bipartisan man on his team.

Congratulations, President-Elect Obama! We're all very proud of you and America tonight!

MY HUSBAND AND I DECIDED FOR WHOM WE'D VOTE LAST NIGHT. WHAT WE AGREED WAS THAT THIS COUNTRY HASN'T SEEN TWO SUCH WORTHY CANDIDATES IN MANY YEARS. WE ARE DEEPLY CONCERNED ABOUT WHERE WE ARE HEADED – FISCALLY, GLOBALLY, SOCIALLY – BUT ARE SO PROUD TONIGHT TO BE AMERICANS. BOTH MEN ARE QUALIFIED, HONORABLE, DECENT, AND DEDICATED. WE HOPE ALL OF THE COUNTRY FEELS AS WE DO TONIGHT: WE CAN ALL SUCCEED UNDER TRUE LEADERSHIP.
