Emergency paper ballots used because of broken NJ machines

(CNN) – Broken machines in Willingboro, New Jersey, have led to disruptions in voting, according to Joe Dugan, chairman of the Burlington County Election Board. Voters at Pennypacker Park Elemenary School have been given emergency paper ballots as a mechanic works on the machines, Dugan said. He added that he expects the machines to be up and running soon.

Today Americans will elect Senator Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America. What does that really mean for America and the world?

For America, it means that Americans outside of the continental USA no longer have to lie about their nationality because of shame

For the rest of the world, it means that countries will be able to breathe easier, knowing that the most powerful country in the world is no longer ruled by mad men, angry men, revengeful men, or bitter men with asex to grind.

I pray that this historic day will be smooth without hitches and nuances of rigging and may God bless the people of America and god bless The United States of America

Leave it up to my home state to let election day roll around without tuning up the voting machines.

Maybe the machines just broke. Nothing complicated, they just broke. Are we now going to blame the bad weather on election day on some grand plot? Maybe your car broke because they did not want you to drive to the polls. Or maybe they just broke.

Here we go again with problems... why they wasn't checked before "THE DAY". People check they car before driving out of town, so why not check the machines before one of the biggest days in history... are we looking at another 2004?

Everyone calm down. This was not done on purpose because it is an African American community. These people's votes will still count.

In an age when you can "google earth", "GPS", and email using your telephone, voting machines are broken on the DAY of an election?
    Hmmm....sounds fishy to me.

What a sorry state the Rep's have lowered themselves to. And here I thought they had hit bottom with the last few commercials! Lies, hate, divisiveness, deceptions, these are the things the Republican Party stands for. After this election has been won by Obama/Biden go back to your party history. Build a party that the founders would be proud of not what the likes of Carl Rove want.

When can we have a fair election? Al Gore got more votes than George Bush but Bush still won....Is that really a democracy? I thought a democracy was when the people voted for their leader. Not when people voted for a smaller group of people to vote for their leader.

I suspect some shigity and trickery to take place! Why can't the republicans admit that they lost!

They should just use the paper ballots!

The people of America need to DEMAND that these machines be scrapped and only paper ballots used. That is the ONLY way to have an honest campaign.
