Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said the two men will sit down in the Oval Office.

"For the first time in my adult life I am NOT proud to be an American"

If trying to unite and make harmony makes you not proud to be an American you were never a real good one anyway.

Why don't we get to the bottom of this and ask us Rep why we didn't vote for Sen John McCain. I can tell you why I, a fellow Rep didn't. He wasn't the correct hotheaded man for the job. I had concerns with his long road in the senate and didn't show me in the last couple of decades that he was the man to lead us up out of this mess. I thought Mrs Palin was a great pick but it didn't change my view on him one bit, the man who would be leading our nation. Stop blaiming her! I have a great deal of respect for John McCain and his life long dedication to our country. As John McCain said he has no one to blame but himself.

These Obama wing-nuts think BHO is going to pay their mortgage and fill their gas tank. As POTUS, BHO will have his hands full running the USA. GWB did not cause all the problems and there are many trouble makers in this world.

Those who tell other Americans to leave if they don't like it are ignorant. People have every right to disagree. It is afforded them in the Constitution. Get real. Dems have complained the past eight years. Just be prepared to have this guy scrutinized the same manner as the last eight years.

    G. Bush made such a mess of this country that we knee-jerked to an Obama. Either Obama does what he says he will and get canned in '12, or he will be a person who is smart enough to learn that Capitalism and the free market will get him farther than his current socialistic beliefs.

Mr. Obama, 47% of us are not on board yet....be smart.

    Re: White-girl, in Iowa

Did you "get over it and move on" in 2004 when Bush was re-elected, or did you vow to continue to fight for what you believe in? I would guess the later. Dont expect the conseravtive movement to roll over for the next president, since the liberal movement did not do anything close to that for Bush.

I think Bush wishes he could let Obama take over today. He just seems to happy to be finally seeing the end of his term. I may not have much to say that is good about Bush...but he actually doing a good thing by making this as easy and smooth as he can.

As far as Obama...I am so proud of him. He showed what hard work can do and that anything is possible. I have a four year old daughter. She already knows who he is. She will grow up and having a President who is Black will be normal. All the small children will see it as normal and that is the truely beautiful thing. That Latino, Asian, Black, Biracial and White children can KNOW that anything is possible in this country. Thi is beyond words.

  10. Now I am becoming an American ... my restrictions are dropping away

Anyone that continues to spew negative bloggs against President-elect Obama is either an immature child …. or a TERRORIST wanting America to continue it’s slide away from greatness. I say continue because Barack has been handed a ROYAL mess.

Sensible posters (Republican, Independent or Democrat) … get behind your President … get behind your country … get behind your flag & your Constitution … if you don’t you are UNPATRIOTIC .. UNAMERICAN …you know, all those labels the GOP tried to smear the dems with during the campaign. Folks, hold those that try to undermine the Obama Administration responsible for their treason. Castigate them.

For if their hatred, if their mean spirited words succeed in ANY WAY in hampering the effectiveness of our NEW PRESIDENT … and let’s say another terrorist attack occurs … in some small way, they have contributed … they have conspired … with the enemys of the state.

Democrats are often labeled as soft of crime. Well this is a new day and Obama has my backing to lock up anyone that can even be remotely tied to showing moral or financial support to those that would set our country back.

Bloggers … you will either be a helpful part of the solution or a harmful part of the problem … take your pick. We can’t afford to tolerate children or terrorists any longer.

To all those who replied to the disgusting blogs on here from CubAmerica and his disgusting ilk- Don't worry or waste any energy on them, they officially dont count anymore AND THEY KNOW IT :-) Finally they have been silenced by this historic election. They can continue to bleat on, but noone is listening anymore they are just pathetic, inbreed redneck trash! They are a dying breed and even the Republican party looks likely to reject them to get back on track as McCain's speech clearly indicated.

McCain and his crowd ran such an ugly, nasty campaign, even George Bush's conduct looks good in comparison. Never thought I would see that.

I don't think we can wait until January. I suggest that Obama somehow lure Bush out of the Oval Office and then shut and lock the door behind him so he can get to work. That'll give Bush more time to pack his things.

I'm glad Bush is making this transition easy. Obama needs all the help getting ramped up he can get.

If Obama supporters want to unite this country they should stop being ungracious winners. It will only make it harder for President elect Obama to govern. Mccain supports/republicans are whining from fear. What's your excuse?

    Well Jody,

To answer your China question we already owe them in excess of 500 Billion and apparently we are planning on borrowing 535 billion more dollars (either from China or somewhere else), and they have bought up a lot of American infrastructure the past 10 years so it's safe to say the Chinese have a huge stake and/or share of America which is frightening in itself. As far as China owning the American monetary system, I wouldn't argue with it. We are so far in debt you'd think at some point China is looking to collect on debt owed.

What a shame that the far-right in these blogs are continuing the vile campaign of the Republicans! How sad that most of you, far-right people, attend church and call yourselves, Christians. Yet you spew hate, vile, lies and division! HOW IS THIS CHRISTIAN?

To OBAMA supporters: Folks, we need to tone it down. We need to show the "other" side what civility, decency and WHAT GRACE IN VICTORY looks like. Let's just let them continue to spew hate and vile, they HAVE reaped what they have SOWN! Trust me!

PEACE BE WITH EVERYONE! GOD BLESS OUR PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA AND HIS BEAUTIFUL FAMILY!

  25. Enjoying life to the fullest! :)

It is truly sad that some people here (and there are no labels to any of them, they know who they are) just have an OCD for being ignorant towards life. I guess the only friend they have is their computer and they just don't get it. Life is ment to be wonderful! Try losing yours for just once and you will be more than thankful for it. Open your eyes, look at all the wonders around you. If you can't do that, leave the rest of us alone in order that we may live a fruitful life without your prejudice thoughts. Some people will always be unstable and I feel sad for you. Life is truly too short to have so much hate fulled bones. Go out and do something good, not only for yourselves, but, for others. See how GOOD you feel for a CHANGE...Sad...
