Sources close to John McCain say Sarah Palin was denied a chance to speak at McCain's concession address.

(CNN) — Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called former aides of Sen. John McCain "jerks" for circulating unflattering stories about her since the Republican ticket lost its bid for the White House Tuesday.

The stories, which have been attributed to unnamed sources within the McCain campaign, include claims that Palin did not know Africa was a continent instead of a country, or which countries are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, despite touting her familiarity with neighboring Canada.

Speaking with CNN's Gary Tuchman after returning to Alaska, Palin speculated those stories may have originated with campaign staffers who helped her prepare for her debate with Democratic Vice President-elect Joe Biden.

Palin apparently has forgotten that MILLIONS of us saw that she didn't even know the role of the V.P., any Supreme Court decisions, or answers to questions about her running mate's policies. Why in world would we NOW believe that she knows that Africa is a continent? She's a simpleton redneck bush babe who really knows nothing more than how to kill innocent animals!! Sorry, Sarah, your "career" as a politician is at an end due to your own lack of intellect.

Sohrab From Brooklyn   November 9th, 2008 12:31 pm ET

Tit for tat for poor girl Sarah. You get back what you give to Obama.Palling around with terrorist, socialist, now republicans are opening your clothes, they are taking back wardobe poor Sarah don't understood the politics. Please don't be a crybaby in the face of adversity. You're messing up Obama's character, think about your rotten future.

Then go ahead and vore for her in 2012 – she's running. She started running when it was obvious McCain was losing and she threw him under the bus!

The McCain camp’s cowardly attacks on her (not Christian even though she did the same vile false attacking upon others) are to deflect attention away from the responsibility for his loss which was caused by McCain’s own cowardly words and actions throughout the campaign. He chose her not because he wanted to put his “country first” but for expediency, to win at all costs. In the end, he used the same unscrupulous tactics of lies and innuendo in his campaign that were used by Bush against him in the past. He even hired to run his campaign the very people who had attacked his family and his personal character when they worked for Bush. When he decided to get into bed with the devil, he invited all hell to break loose. I have no respect for him at all because of this.

WE HERE IN THE SOUTH BEING MINORITY AND EXPERIENCING THE
"REDNECK SYNDROME" DON'T HAVE ONE OUNCE OF FEELINGS FOR THIS LADY. IT IS FRIGHTENING TO SEE SO MANY IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY DID NOT SEE THROUGH THIS SHELL OF A FAKE POLITICIAN. HER WHOLE MEANING OF LIFE IS CENTER ON DIVISION. NOW MCCAIN AND THE REST THAT WAS INVOLVED IN HIS RUN FOR #1 ARE EXPERIENCING WHAT WE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING SINCE OUR FRIST DOCKING OF THESE SHORES AS SLAVES. PEOPLE (REDNECKS) LIKE HER HAVE NO SENSE OF WHAT ARE THE GREATER "GOODS" FOR "WE THE ENTIRE PEOPLE". THE ONLY THINGS WE FEEL SORRY FOR NOW THAT THERE ARE NO LONGER ANY REMOTE POSSIBILITIES OF HER IMPACT ON OUR LIVES ARE THE MOOSE, ELK AND OTHER ANIMALS IN HER STATE' WE HOPE THAT SOMEONE WILL TELL HER THAT "WORDS" DO MATTER.

SO tired of hearing Sarah Palin was NOT ready to be VP……
Listen, she is the Govenor of Alaska, I know what "some" are saying, but really just listen to what you are saying…….
Sarah Palin has no experience, Barack Obama does.
First, that is a sentence that your English teacher would say is wrong.
Second, Sarah Palin is the Governor of a State.
Third, Alaska is a State whether you are aware of it or not, ok it might be cold there, but, it is still a State.

Sarah Palin whines about being taken 'out of context' Her lies about Obama were never taken out of context. If it walks like a duck etc;
John McCain is the defacto leader of the Republicam Party and it was on his say so who should be VP. Not the Republican inner circle. They advise but it was his final decision to pick her to rally the right wing.

I just love the way she accuses the rest of America for not giving rights to women like they do in Alaska. If shooting animals from a helicopter with an AK47 is her interpretation of equal rights then she can keep it.

Terrible woman

Betty, Virginia   November 8th, 2008 1:01 am ET

It's not meanspirited when they are telling the truth… which is more than we can say for Sarah. It's not the media who opened their mouth and said stupid things. McCain may have picked her but she wasn't even smart enough to know when to say "Thanks, but no thanks…"

Bah bye diva…

If Ms. Palin was treated by badly by MCCain staff that is ufornate. I am very glad the truth about her lack of knoweldge adn curiosity has been made public. No one regardless of party, sex or color this uninformed and should be a heart beat from the presidency. Shame on John MCain AND the anti intellectual constiuency she was selected to attract.

Boricua4Obama   November 8th, 2008 12:56 am ET

Does this woman ever take responsibility for anything? Everything she does or says wrong is someone else's fault. Actually I don't really care. I'm sick to death of seeing her and hearing her whiny, annoying voice. I wish the media would leave her alone so that she goes away and we never hear or see her again and we can all pretend she was just a bad, bad dream *deep breath*.

This is officially my last post regarding this woman.

Were these allegations true or not?
Rather than attacking the messenger, it makes sense to discuss whether these comments are true. If they are, attacking the messenger is a pathetic attempt to deflect deserved criticism. If the comments are untrue, they should be dismissed as a fabrication.
Based upon the behavior of Palin, it sure seems that these comments are true.

Ryan   November 8th, 2008 12:50 am ET

If McCain haed wosn the presidency, they would be praising her!!! She helped his campaign and made him (McCain) more interesting. I think he should be defending her. He picked her!!!! If they (Republicans) didn't agree with anything Palin was doing, it should have been noted sooner!!!

Dexter Skagway   November 8th, 2008 12:32 am ET

Palin's belief that Africa is a country was taken out of context? I wonder if there is any context that thinking Africa is a country can rationally fit?

such an idot   November 8th, 2008 12:32 am ET

She was such an idot, but her ego was infinite. That was the only thing I felt sorry for her. The more she defends herself , the more I believe she deserves whatever she have got. So please keep quiet, that is the best thing she can do. I can never imagine that a politician can not take any criticism. Grow up and first learn how to take criticism.

She is very attractive when she is quiet. But when she starts to speak, I feel that she is just a stupid, arrogant, hatred mad dog. It is really hard for me to imagine that she is a good christian as she claims herself to be. To me, she is a super fake person.

Chasing Wolves by airplane until they can't run anymore then pumping 30-0 6 bullets into them is cruel and cowardly too. There are only a few thousand wolves left in Alaska. They deserve their natural life. The argument by hunters that they get too many moose is a bogus lie. People fight back and you don't get elected for being corrupt like you do up in Alaska!! Don’t you get tired of Palin’s double standards? When she took Mr. Obama’s or Mr. Biden’s comments out of context or misrepresented them, it was fine, but when someone allegedly took her comments out of context, they were “immature”, “unprofessional”, “jerks”. It was okay for her to be mean-spirited, but when she gets treated the same way, she squeals like a pig – with lipstick.

Are you joking? I'm pro-Obama myself and I hated everything Sarah Palin said in their rallies. But, you know what? She didn't come up with those speeches herself. Those were not her policies. Those were of the Republicans headed by John McCain and his advisors. Palin was just their "puppet".

So, get over it! She had nothing to do with all of it except to show up and talk, kinda like a prerecorded "robot".

Independent for USA only   November 7th, 2008 11:54 pm ET

I am no fan of Palin, except that I was glad McCain picked her- It was one of several things he did to help Obama! The McCain people said they had vetted her, so if she was not up to the job, that is their fault. She was obviously poorly managed, also their fault! The whole clothes thing should have been handled better by the McCain staff and they failed! See a pattern here? The fact that they don't have the balls to use their names confirms that not only are they just trying to dodge the blame for a poorly managed campaign, but they are lying to avoid the blame. Notice that you don't hear the Obama campaign (or any winners) pointing blame! Only the losers that mismanaged and screwed up their campaigns!!

In an interview Mrs. Palin was asked, "What would your responsibilities be if you are elected Vice President?"

Her answer, "I would run the senate. I can hardly wait to go down there and talk about the issues." In a couple of sentences she showed the world she has no understanding of the Constitutionally provided for Separation of powers. This interview took place six weeks after she had been tapped as the vice presidential candidate. Evidently she lacked the intellectual curiosity to ask anyone what the vice president does. Scary? You Betcha!

Peter (CA)   November 7th, 2008 11:44 pm ET

"These guys"….Really? Is that the best you got. Sure, she is attractive but you would not have to have a very long dinner conversation to see she is not so bright and it would not take long to see she is extremely petty.

Get real! She was mean-spirited from the convention on. She lied and lied and lied at every stop, knowing that Obama and Biden probably would not call her on it because they would have been "sexist". Now, that all of the lies have been exposed, now that her own party has turned against her, she wants to pretend she is on some high road. She damaged herself. If the Republicans learn anything from 2006 and 2008, it better be that they should run on the issues that matter to the voters. Not the issues that the extreme right thinks is important.

You betcha.

3. Sarah Palin came out blazing and attacking Obama repeating rumors and innuendo. She was very partisan and divisive. You reap what you sow.

I too will try again……I agree with Joyce. Palin is the governer of a state, even if it is Alaska and not one of the obviously superior "lower 48″. She is not an idiot, a know-nothing, a barbie, blah blah blah ad nauseum. So all you armchair governors and other wise pundits, get out of your easy chairs and off your computers and at least run for city council, or mayor, or something. Sitting here spewing arrogant sarcasm against the Alaska governer from the anonymous comfort of your little dens might make you feel self-righteous but it does absolutely nothing to start moving this country in the right direction, now does it?

The same people that elected Sarah Palin governor also reelected Ted Stevens, a convicted felon. Now I'm not saying this tells us something about their intelligence. Oh heck, yes I am!

I'm not sure why Obama is being attacked when it comes to Sarah Palin. These comments are not coming from the Obama camp, they are coming from McCain's camp. I think it is a shame that they all are using her as a scapegoat for all of this. You have John McCain to think for putting her on the ticket. Why are Oprah, Larry King and others dying to get Palin on their show? Because she IS big news. She did more to excite the Republican base than any other candidate would have. The problem was that she was upstaging McCain, and McCain's inner circle didn't like it. Again, a male-dominated group going up against a strong female. She knew how to run a successful campaign. Unfortunately, she was never given the chance to be a partner in the McCain election. It was evident that Obama and Biden were partners in the election. It was not evident with McCain-Palin. So, by putting Palin "in her place" they lost the election. McCain only lost by about 500,000 votes – if about 500,000 people had switched their votes in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana and Florida, we would talking about a McCain presidency.

circy in new mexico   November 7th, 2008 11:17 pm ET

If you can't stand the heat, don't come into the kitchen! Does she really not understand what politics is about? Just another example of her inability to understand things. Simply put, she is not ready for the Major Leagues.

Tom in Delaware   November 7th, 2008 11:17 pm ET

Everytime I read unsubstantiated rubbish like this, I remember that it was the National Enquirer that scooped the entire MSM about the John Edwards case….of course, my old High School newspaper could have scooped the MSM, because they were doing everything in their power to suppress the truth about any wrongdoings by the Democrats by printing hearsay and gossip about the Republicans.

Sean Hannity was right….2008 is the year journalism died.

KJL   November 7th, 2008 11:16 pm ET

Palin sounds like she's speaking pidgin English. How the woman got a journalism degree, much less a run at the vice presidency, is beyond me.

I acquired American citizenship a year ago and know more about this country's government than she does. Shameful.

Sharon   November 7th, 2008 11:15 pm ET

Sarah Palin is commenting unprofessionally about all of this. She just digs her "hole" deeper. And yes, she wasn't a knowledgeable politician. Yes, she ran a hater and fear mongering campaign.

Please just let her stay in Alaska!! The lady is truly evil!!! And she enjoyed creating a dangerous atmosphere. Tell her to be quiet – she wasn't ready. She also says news media are "bad apples" because they were too hard on her. News – she deserved alot of criticism!! Good for news media. Appears your first amendment rights are protected!! And Sarah is now planting her inexperience firmly in everyone's mind.

Tom   November 7th, 2008 11:14 pm ET

I don't expect this to be run on this blog either – but I'll try again. So many people mad at Sarah Palin for daring to point out flaws in Obama – how dare she! How did anyone expect the Republicans to point out what many believe valid questions about Obama's relationships, policies, etc. The press certainly would not print anything negative. These same people are so vile. I wonder how many of you who call her stupid actually have a college degree? Been Mayor of a city? Govenor of a State? And Obama? One of his first remarks about her was that McCain had a running mate who used to be Mayor of a small city. He forgot to mention she was currently a govenor!

**********************************************************************

I have a college degree and I think she's ignorant as hell. And oh no, he called her a mayor of a small town, the horror. Let's see, what nasty, vile and untrue things did she call him?

Bob from Virginia   November 7th, 2008 11:13 pm ET

I wonder if she has ever considered that lying about a Presidential candidate was "unfair" or "cruel" or "cowardly".

I doubt it, that requires a brain and a conscience.

Joyce   November 7th, 2008 11:12 pm ET

Xavier – So, exactly what could anyone say about Obama that you would not consider " stroking the fires of racist people"? We all knew that anything negative brought out against Obama would be considered racist remarks. I personally have not met one person who ever talked about his race – we were more concerned about his policies. I am very concerned about the direction he will lead this country. Amazing at the "code words" people have turned around to mean racist. Where was the outrage by democrats or African Americans for the "Uncle Tom" remarks made against Colin Powell a few years ago. None – since Mr. Powell was a Republican.

I truly believe that those McCain aides are telling the truth about Palin.

Like the majority of America, they had enough of her diva behavior and her tantrums and her complete lack of disrespect, and I guess they wanted to get back at Palin for what she did to them throughout the campaign. Yes, it certainly was very immature on their part. But why else would they bring these accusations to light? What would be their motive in doing so? To make themselves look even worse than they already look? McCain's aides are not stupid! I'm sure they know that they look like a bunch of fools after running such a horrible campaign, and I'm sure they take full responsiblity for McCain's loss due to their severe lack of judgement.

Why isn't McCain sticking up for her? Seriously, if he truly cared for her and believed that she was a good, smart person, he would defend her. I guess we will see what McCain has to say in time. However, I'm sure he's quietly at home hanging his head in shame, going over the things he could have done to get elected. I'm sure he has many regrets.

Vic   November 7th, 2008 11:00 pm ET

As if the Republican Party needed any more slams. This lady is a brilliant person and politician. McCain's campaign staff were so incompetent that they had to find a scapegoat for their miserable failings. If the RNC doesn't step in and stanch these lies and low life dealings, it'll be another 50 years before they come to power. I just hope Sarah Palin goes on to have a successful political career, as she deserves and we can only wish her good luck.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Palin really dished it out in true pit bull fashion against Barack. Whether it was in context or out, true or false she was relentless. But when it is done to her, she whines. Barack never attacked her, he always went after McCain. But she did not even congratulate her President on his victory. Barack is truly a strong leader and the right man for the job. Mc Cain could not handle all of that pressure. He would have become unglued. The Republicans used devisiveness as their tool during the whole campaign and were not smart enough to see that it did not work. It just made Barack stronger. CNN probably won't print this because they are upset about the Obama victory.

You must be right Sue in MI. Obama is going to bring the troops home, sometime after fixing the economy right? Cause that's 1st on his list of things to do right now. So, once he fixes the economy somewhere in his 1st term…maybe second as he has said, then he's going to fix Iraq and Afghanstan? What exactly are his plans for troop withdraw? He never talked about it during all these speeches, but he sure did talk about saving 10 billion a month. Maybe he can just stop funding them? Wouldn't be the first time a President hung troops out left to dry on foreign soil.

You know, I really hope my gut feeling about Obama is wrong. He promised a heck of a lot of stuff while running for President, lets see how much he can keep without destroying the US while he's at it.

Wanda an Obama Supporter   November 7th, 2008 10:48 pm ET

Well, Ms. Palin as the saying goes "you reap what you sow". You sowed heaps of words of discord and racial incitement into your rallies and didn't think twice about it. You can dish it out heavy but when it turns on you and it's your turn, you now want to cry foul. Sorry, dear, you started it. The evilness and vile comments that proceeded out of your mouth with a bit of a smile and a wink made you despicable. But as you can see, it didn't work. The American people spoke loud and clear. We didn't like it and we made sure you and McCain wasn't going to bring that type of behavior and rhetoric into our White House. Only integral people did we want in the WH. Obama remained cool, calm, and collected under all of those attacks and the American people backed him all the way and that's why he is our POTUS.

The attacks ARE cowardly because the sources are unnamed. But the real story here is Governor Sarah Palin is NOT qualified on an intellectual level to be V.P. and heaven forbid if she would have (by some quirk of fate) become the President !!!
The FACT that Senator McCain selected her shows he DID NOT vet her properly and HE is responsible for ALL of this!! This WAS NOT a Country First decision on his part. It was more like a ROLL of the DICE (his favorite gambling game).

Palin's rhetoric brought out the racist nature of some of her supporters. All you have to do is go on you tube and listen to the rhetoric that was being said by these people. What does it say about you as a person when you know that you are stroking the fires of racist speople for the sake of getting them to vote for you? How is this different from one selling his or her soul to the devil for the gaining of power? Does the end justify the means if it brings out racial views from those ignorant enough to judge people by virtue of the color of their skin? Palin knew what she was doing, as did the rest of the GOP leadership. The fact that it didnt work speak volumes of how far we have come as a country in regards to race.

Perhaps she will borrow a line from another famous politician, "Let them freeze in the dark."

Tariq   November 7th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

I voted for Obama and I was never a fan of Palin, much less of McCain. As much as I believe she lacked basic knowledge for VP position, she undoubtedly inspired and re-energized the GOP base.

However, I do believe the republican strategists enclosed both McCain and Palin in this bubble where information about Obama was selectively leaked to them. It was almost surreal to watch them on the attack; it was as if they were completely detached from reality, reason, or rationality. Towards the end we could not even recognize the McCain we once knew.

What Palin did not realize, until she turned rogue and post-election day, was that she was playing with actual fire…and she did not feel its heat until it was turned on her by the very people who supplied it. In a moment of epiphany (soon hopefully) she will relate to Obama and see herself in his shoes….responding to smears, unsupported rumors, and anonymous leaks about her character.

There are about 20 major US cities with a population bigger than all of Alaska. Good ole Wasilla has just 6200 people according to the Census Bureau. How does this qualify you to be second in cammand of the last super power on the planet?

If Mrs. Palin does want to run in 2012 (heaven forbid) she needs to see much more of the world than just looking at Russia out her "back wndow".

No offense, but America and the rest of the world is way more complicated than running a state of less than 675 000 people.

Woman should be Angry   November 7th, 2008 10:25 pm ET

The treatment of Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton during this campain should outrage everyone. Clinton in my opinion should have had the nomination, putting that aside, the treatment of Clinton by her own party was deplorable. Sarah Palin has also been chastised by the Democrats and Republicans. These two woman deserve the respect from this country that they deserve… As a woman , I am saddened that Race was the topic of discussion during this campaign, and once again Womans treatment was pushed to the back burner. Like it didnt matter. This election has pushed the womans movement back 20 years… The young woman of this nation, You know who you are, Your the ones who voted for Obama and didnt bother to vote or research any of the amendments or candidates on the ballot, should maybe talk to a middle aged woman, maybe your mom. It took us a long time to get where we are in this country, you havent experienced our pain or suffering as woman. Thats good , in a way. Sarah Palin is a good example of the empty-headedness of American Conservatism. While there are a few George Wills and William F. They do not understand how little they know and how much damage they have done to the nation.

I hope this gal is nominated by the Republicans in 2012 and maybe we can finally drive a stake through the heart of Conservatism.

It is especially disturbing that Sarah Palin doesn't even understand why her candidacy was such a bad idea.

End Of An Error   November 7th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

I think this side show has shown too many people what Sarah Palin is really like and how she turns on people when to her advantage. She won't be returning to such a big political stage for a while and she will have to work hard if she ever wants to. She will always be known as the person Tina Fey could impersonate perfectly as she was held up to the light and seen for what she was – a not so bright woman who thought comparing herself to a pit bull was some kind of compliment.

There is nothing attractive about a pit bull attacking anyone. Politics may be ruthless, but that isn't how it's done. The trick is to be intelligent and many moves ahead of an adversary. Not attacking and accusing them of, in this case, not being real Americans, of being muslim, and all the other spew and hate that Sarah Palin chose to regurgitate.

If Sarah Palin wants to see cruel and cowardly attacks, she should look at her own speeches in the last month or so.

Sarah Palin is saying "not fair" to all the negataive comments about her since the McCain campaign . There is a saying in politics, "if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen". I think that her reaction shows that she is not ready for a political office, much less V.P. McCain tried to win by using Palin to ride in on her coat tails because
she could get women's votes, and she had favor with the "christian right". Shame on him! Why couldn't he run on his own steam? Instead of having an equal partner to run with, he "used" Palin. Thank goodness that thinking people were not hoodwinked with the dirty politics and mudslinging from the McCain camp. Palin was their bulldog who shouldn't have ever been considered V.P. material. Dave

Paula Smith   November 7th, 2008 10:15 pm ET

My thought is that John McCain and his running mate showed a large amt of negativity in the campaign. Lots more that the other side did. I do not resent Sarah Palin though and I would like us to not focus on her, not hurt her, let her get on with her work as Gov.

If Sarah Palin was uncertain about certain facts, if she was ill prepared to be McCain's VP, it was not her fault. It was the fault of those people who selected her without vetting her. She gave it all she had, she energised the Republican base and drew thousands of people to McCain's rallies, attracting thousands more than McCain ever did. She was used and now she is being abused. The treatment she is getting is shameful and the comments are indeed petty and mean-spirited.

I'm not a Sarah Palin fan—do not share her values, and was very concerned about her lack of experience. But, the only Republican in the McCain camp admitting responsibility for losing the election—John McCain himself.

These so called "advisors" who are now skewering Sarah Palin, are probably a significant reason the Republicans lost so badly. If this is all they can come up with—making the person they chose and failed to adequately vet, the scapegoat—well, it actually says a lot more about their shortcomings than it says about Sarah Palin.

theseconddlb   November 7th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Clinton/Palin 2012? Palin has some things to brush up on, but four more years in our faces can turn that election into one helluva race against whomever else wants to run for president. You're welcome to join us on our path through history Gov. Palin. It's all good, girl! Do ya thing. Obama/Biden 2008. Yes we did.

sine   November 7th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Although I don't like the mean spirt of the McCain camp, I have to think like a sensible women. My sensibility tells me when she was asked to run as VP she should have put country first and been privy to the fact that she WAS NOT PREPARED!! period.

She was willing to potentially be president without basic knowledge of goverment and civics. You don't have to be a genius to figure out that she was not that bright. I'm sure she is a fine Alaskan governor…but thats it!!!

Craig Kasnoff   November 7th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

So…Sarah….whey you casually -and frequently- spewed false accuasations about Obama while you were on the campaign trail(see 'palling around with terrorist for example) is was just jfine and dandy.

But now…when people say s**t about you…they are 'jerks'.

Well Sarah…it's an old saying…but it is tried and true…'you reap what you sow'.

How's it feel?

You of all people -considering your campaign performance- deserve to be 'trashed'.

I'm loving every article I read.

Governor Palin is a Governor! She is not stupid, dumb, and idiot etc etc. She would have never been elected to the highest office in her state, had she been a nit wit. She was thrown out into the tail end of this campain and handled herself beautifully. Those who are ganging up on her really need to stop and smell the coffee here. John McCain lost end of story. Blame for his loss , as McCain stated himself was his. The Media Bias against McCain and the Love fest for Obama had alot more to do with his loss than Sara Palin. I thought she did one hell of a job, for all she was put through.People need to move on now, support the President Elect. and lets get the country moving forward. Whether you like Obama or not, We are in the sh–ter here and this is not helping efforts to get us back on track. Grow up people…

The republican voters would rather see McCain and Palin win than Obama and Biden. Excellent choice when you have a war veteran of 72 yrs of age and an Alaskan governor who had to take a crash course as to what to say in the campaign.

Joyce   November 7th, 2008 10:04 pm ET

I've seen Sarah Palin called a racist several times in this blog. Typical – but the only person talking about the fact that Obama is black was Obama! Govenor Palin pointed out questionable relationships and the fact that Obama will tax us to death. In my opinion, these are not things to be overlooked when discussing a man who, at the time, was running for president. Yes, he was elected, with so much help from the media who refused to bring up anything negative about him, inaccuracies about what really led to the financial crisis we're in (do your homework – it all started in the Clinton administration when Clinton supported giving loans to people who had no way of repaying them . The democrats would not allow anyone to look into the obvious problems occuring (Bush brought this to their attention), Barney Frank lied and said everything was fine, etc. etc. So many lies, but not from the Republicans! Now – hold onto your pursestrings – we're in for a bumpy ride.

Leave her alone until after you've read the article about how Alaskans feel about her. From what all my friends and relatives in Alaska say she's a good governor and she's pretty smart. I still don't think she has the wherewithal to be President (and let's face it she was running for President not Vice President). Of course, who knows what will happen given time and world policy education.

Did you see where Iraq, which has been balking at Bush's security plan, is willing to work with Obama (the inexperienced one, Steve!) to get the details hashed out, because if we don't, we are out of there on Jan. 1…no authority, no weapons, no security. Barack will bring this saga to a safe conclusion, and bring those precious boys and girls home, as well as our tax dollars.

Rob the Physicist   November 7th, 2008 9:55 pm ET

You can't blame the media for the Couric interviews. It is not the media's fault that she doesn't know the role of the VP. The media didn't force members of the McCain campaign to turn on her. It wasn't the 'gotcha media' that used rallies to spread lies and misinformation about Obama. Most of the blame for this falls right back on Palin.

Sarah Palin should be thankful for the fact that, in reality, she was treated with kid gloves by the media. Very little was reported about her own radical pastors, her connections with the AIP, her willingness to use taxpayer money for personal expenses and her reference to Alaska's oil resources as 'collectively owned' with the wealth being shared.

Many of the posters are correct; she dished out a lot, but she doesn't like to take it.

Mike   November 7th, 2008 9:55 pm ET

My 3rd grader is smarter than this woman. Media, do the world a favor – please do not put her on national television again.. She is just dumb sounding and the words are worst than my 1 year old who can choose words on a 2nd grade level. She is good for "SNL" and that's it….

Barbara   November 7th, 2008 9:54 pm ET

Sarah Palin is too thin skinned to handle Federal level politics. She will do well to stay in Alaska and do whatever it is she does. While I think people should leave her alone, she also needs to stop whining about it. When you play the game sometimes you get burned especially when you try to bring small town thinking to the big city.

Maybe now the Republican women can understand the beating that Hillary Clinton has take for years. She has been called a B**** and cold for years for being tough enough to give as good as she gets. As a female, I am very disappointed in the whining of Sarah Palin. She has to remember that her own self protrayal has also led to some of this bad press. Maybe she should study Barack Obama and his ability to be calm and deliberate in his thinking and actions. Take some lessons Sarah and come back when you are ready to be a serious contender.

Sue in MI   November 7th, 2008 9:52 pm ET

Steve, truth be told, the Alaska legislature meets just 90 days a year, so how much executive experience does she have? And when she was mayor, the fist thing she did was hire an administrator to run the city for her.
She also admits, just not on the campaign trail, that Alaska, which taxes successful oil companies big time and then redistributes the profits to every Alaskan, working or not, old and young, is the "most socialist" of the states. So I don't think she's the paragon of leadership and fiscal responsibility you thinks he is. Alaska is doing well because of their oil and because there just aren't that many people–so there are jobs and wealth. They haven't been affected by the economic downturn, so how would she deal with that? Tax the utilities and "spread the wealth?" But, gee, that sounds familiar! Isn't that COMMUNIST???

Linda from Minnesota   November 7th, 2008 9:52 pm ET

At first I thought she was a complete idiot. I still don't think she is the brightest bulb and when asked to be on the ticket should have said thanks but no thanks because I am not qualified. That said, I think that the McCain campaign is trying to blame her for the loss. McCain's campaign was a complete disaster, adding Sarah Palin to the ticket was, I believe, the final nail in the coffin as far as the election goes. I've softened my opinion of her somewhat. Still don't think she's ready or qualified but think the campaign used her to get the Hillary voters which just shows how out of touch the campaign was. Hillary voters would never vote for Sarah Palin – the views are direct opposite. Frankly, I am insulted by John McCain if he thought any woman would get Hillary's supporters. Sarah Palin was part of the loss but the biggest part of the loss is on John McCain himself.

I don't feel bad for her. She came out of nowhere swinging and refused to talk to the media like everyone else did. Even at the debate she said straight out that she wasn't going to answer the questions she didn't want to answer. Can you imagine that as President. I find it hypocritical that she is now complaining about the same type of tactics that she used in the campaign. Also, she should take back what she said about Hilary whining. She behaved badly. She has a nasty character and I am sure she made a lot of enemies.
The comments made about her are not sexist. In fact it is she who has done a disservice to women by her dispicable conduct.

After watching Sarah Palin's comments, I now know what a soar loser truly sounds like…after losing a beauty contest I thought she would be used to not winning.

But seriously, the Sarah's comment about only women in Alaska are self-sufficient really shocked me, since she was gunning for women voters. Women in the other states run fortune 500 companies, serve overseas, are police officers, firefighters, as well as, some have the luxury of being able to stay at home with their kids, which is equally important…but to make the statement women living in other states are being the women in Alaska is just crazy.

I think Sarah Palin needs a hug! :) Or maybe a different shade of lipstick.
What I thought was really funny is when she talked about the clothes, when Sarah started on the campaign trail her eyebrows where dark brown, now they match the highlights and lowlights in her hairs.

She should just be happy about the trips, the make-up and the nice black boots I'm sure she kept…and not poke her head up on the radar of the other non-progressive states in this great country of the United States of America. I just her girl Elizabeth(from The View) isn't progressive either.

I am so glad that Palin gets what she deserves. She thought that she has ‘an exclusive right’ to use the dirty tactics such as insinuation, smears and outright lies and will be rewarded for it. What goes around – comes around… exactly! She will forever be a symbol of idiocy, the biggest political joke.

Sue in MI   November 7th, 2008 9:46 pm ET

Leo "I know what I know what I know" is hardly an "articulate" statement. And "you betcha" and her other colloquialisms do not belong in a national political campaign. Call me elitist, but people expect their leaders to have some command of their native language. She threw "also" into every sentence a couple of times, she couldn't even tell Couric the name of ONE magazine or newspaper she reads, and you found her articulate? I don't hate her, I just don't have any use for a woman who is so ambitious she doesn't even know when she's out of her league. And a woman with a Down syndrome newborn and a pregnant teenage daughter, and supposedly a fulltime job in Alaska (although I guess the legislature meets just 90 days) should have said "No, thanks" to the RNC. There would have been other campaigns. Now I think she has ruined that for herself.

Frank   November 7th, 2008 9:45 pm ET

Any way we can send Tina Fey to Alaska too? Her making fun of Palin is comparable to Richard Simmons making making fun of Michael Jackson.

Mary   November 7th, 2008 9:44 pm ET

First of all, I am in no way a Sarah fan, however:

I hope that this election has taught her and shown her how unprepared she is/was to run for a major government position. I hope she will take the time now to study and learn what all is involved and learn about herself and her capabilities. Then I hope she will be realistic with her goals and asperations. I mean her no harm.

Next I do want to give her credit for her spunk and determination. Ok so the spunk and determination was misguided and just plain off the mark, but hey, YOU BETCHA she tried.

The reality for her right now is that she has been handed a golden opportunity. She can make tons of lemonade out of the lemons. If she writes a book she will have to do it fast because the interest is going to die fast, she could do a made for tv movie and make some bucks, but again act fast. Or she could progress and turn history around. Who knows, there are lots of things for her to do.

I won't be buying the book or watching the movie however.

Good luck Sarah. I do honestly mean that.

HOwever, I am jubulant that I don't have to worry about you in our nations high office.

I can't believe that the republicans are blaming Palin for their lost. They are the ones who chose Palin to be McCain's running mate. As history continues, the republicans do not take responsibilities for their actions but to blame them on other people.

Republicans need to start thinking outside of the box and look at the bigger picture.

The blame game is the oldest trick in the book, and Americans are starting to see right through republicans.

Republican need to come up with new strategies and they need to start allowing their young republicans to make suggestions and incorporate those suggestions or ideas to achieve a better outcome.

I AM A DEMOCRAT because of the old games that the republicans continue to play. Republicans need to embrace change and lead by example.

Steve the I.T. guy   November 7th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

So when will this all stop? It's over, Obama won and you continue to bash Sarah for what reason? To make yourselves feel better about electing someone with less Executive Experience then she has? Is that it? She has far more Executive Experience then Obama and Biden combined. So what if she doesn't know about Foreign affairs. She was not picked as VP for her foreign experienced. She was picked because she is a REFORMER. She gets things done and has proven her ability to WORK for the American people. Hate to break it to you; Obama has ZERO…ZIP…NADA on Foreign policy experience too. That is why he picked Biden in the 1st place. Oh, how you forgot about that? His week long trip overseas gave him all the experience he needed right?

You hated Bush because he had no experience, so what did you do. You went ahead and elected Obama cause he's the one for change. Change what, I don't know, he has never said anything that he would change except raise our taxes and redistribute our wealth and have a Bigger Government run everyone’s lives.

I like Sarah and her down to Earth attitude. You know something, she was right. She is a REAL American like any one of us. She worked for her position in government because she saw the flaws and corruption and FIXED it. To continue to treat her as less then that just proves you are the REAL UN-American's. You people calling her every name in the book need to look in the mirror first. Maybe go get a real education because you lack any morals what so ever.

The American people have spoken   November 7th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

Even though I don't like her because of the lies, inuendos, fear-mongering, divisiveness she carried on with in the campaign, it's not right what they are doing. If anything they should come out publicly and say what they have to say, but, I'm not surprised with this kind of nastiness from the Republican party.

Randy, San Francisco   November 7th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

Word of advice to Palin.: Do not go on the show, "Are you smarter than a 3rd grader?" Her interviews answered that question.

Jessica from Michigan   November 7th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

Why can't people just admit that she simply isn't that bright. Nothing to do with gender. If she were male, the attacks would have been much stronger, but people didn't what to be labeled "sexist". I thought Biden went easy on her in the debates, he had to! No choice there.

I would love to ask her how she justifies the "socialist" claims in light of her own support of the redistribution of oil wealth in the great state of Alaska! She just not make sense.

As women, the emphasis need to be on substance and intellect. On a national stage, a simple suit (no need to be by Versace) is all that's needed. Clothes should not be a distraction, as it's not fashion week in NYC! Neutral tones, and a crisp white blouse underneath, perfect! Let your education take center stage, ladies!

One day a woman with substance will win the Presidency!

Sue in MI   November 7th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

Mika   November 7th, 2008 9:37 pm ET

Although I agree that Palin should not be used as the McCain scapegoat and the post election slander is uncouth, let's just admit that Sarah Palin was considered a contender because of her attractiveness not her qualifications. Seriously, can you say that people would have backed a candidate with her level of civic knowledge and experience if she had been dowdy, overweight, odd featured or even just a plain Jane? Close your eyes and strip her of her beauty pageant winning allure and what are you left with? Someone who doesn't have the aptitude or the ambition to educate herself on topics that are relevant to holding one of the highest government posts in this country (if she had, she would have done it by now). Yes, she has confidence. Yes, she exhibits charm and can deliver a speech effectively, but she was a nominee in a presidential race, not the Emmys. I'd have her emcee a national event any day, but to be second in command as our country's leader, she was way out of her league.

Okay, so maybe some of McCain's aides feel selecting Palin was a mistake, and they are fed up after 6 weeks of dealing with her, still McCains loss can be attributed to a number of factors and it's for McCain's aides to pin it on Palin makes it sound like they are trying to divert attention away from their own mistakes.

LMC in Seattle   November 7th, 2008 9:25 pm ET

Palin still is not the well-spoken person she should be for seeking such a high office. It was really obvious that she was ill-prepared (on her own) for the VP position and had never really tried to keep up with global issues. She has a very narrow outlook on the world, not unlike Pres. Bush. That, and her ability to engage in outright lies and claim high moral values at the same time was unbelievable. I could care less about the whole wardrobe debacle. That's between her and the McCain campaign or RNC. I just hope we don't see her in national politics again!

Dennis   November 7th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

Poor thing! While I could actually have sympathy for her, it's tempered a bit when I recall her condescending tone explaining how her opponent "pals around with terrorists." She knew what she was getting into. It's somewhat pathetic that an apparent hero to the far right, who seem to relish mudslinging, would be so sensitive to negative remarks.

Anything the press writes about Palin now is just sensationalism because they have nothing better to do and need to fill space.

The bottom line is Sara asked for the job through the extreme right and Schmidt brow beat an old man into accepting her as his running mate. She did this and accepted the position on the ticket knowing full well she was ill prepared and way out of her league. Some may call it blind ambition.

Had Palin just campaigned on policy it would be easier to feel some pity for her but her lies and hate make her ripe for getting clubbed and the harder she gets clubbed the more deserving it is.

She is a contemptable person with only one concern and that is her own personal advancement. She deserves everthing she gets except the governor's job.

Charlie Bradley   November 7th, 2008 9:20 pm ET

well well well, seems the pit bull turns into a Feline when the makeup comes off.

Soccer mom from Canada   November 7th, 2008 9:20 pm ET

I hate to keep repeating this but no one is even mentioning it and it can't be taken out of context. During the prank call from the radio show, she did not know the Name of the Prime Minister of Canada who was just re- elected in October. We are neighbors she should know at least that much.

ruty   November 7th, 2008 9:20 pm ET

The DUMMY is gone. Thank God. I hope never to be heard from again. She might be big in Alaska but in the lower 48 she is a bad nightmare.

Anonymous   November 7th, 2008 9:20 pm ET

I'm no fan of Sarah Palin either, but I do believe she's being ill-used now. Thom Hartmann had an interesting theory about it, which is: it's the Romney people in the McCain campaign who are doing this, in order to 'take Palin out' of any 2012 consideration, leaving the field free for Romney. Sound plausible??

Charlie Bradley   November 7th, 2008 9:19 pm ET

I thought we were done with this crazy whack job on November 4 at 11:20 PM

She is soooooo dumb that she doesn't even know McCain totally used her. She is so obviously unprepared to be in politics. Stay Home, be a mom, be a grandma but do go away from the light.

Goodson   November 7th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

McCain wanted a game-changer, but instead got someone with a doughnut size brain like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
McCain should be court-marshalled for putting the Country at risk

CB   November 7th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

Palin, please write a book…I'd read it!

Seems like there was a lot of drama in this campaign. I'd like to know the truth…

McCain aides, Palin aides, McCain, Palin please please please write a book!!!!!

YayObama   November 7th, 2008 9:17 pm ET

Doesn't feel good to have untrue things said about now does it Sarah?? It was ok for you to make false claims against Barack, but when it's done to you, you can't stomach your own medicine. No one's going to throw you a pity party Sarah…

Sandy   November 7th, 2008 9:17 pm ET

This woman is so high school. She's about to be a grandmother and she's acting as though she's a teenager.

gl, Pittsburgh   November 7th, 2008 9:16 pm ET

I ready don't want to said any thing mean, but she is getting her pay back from all her nasty comments toward Obama. She being a Christian no that if you judge someone you will be judged I will say I don't like the way McCain campaign used Sara Palin to be their attach dog and then threw her under the bus when McCain lost.

Anonymous   November 7th, 2008 9:16 pm ET

aah, the pit bull is unhappy !!!!!! too bad you REAP WHAT YOU "SOW"!!!!! case dismissed !!!!!! she called "our president elect" everything but the "N" word !!!!! hopefully we wont have to see her in the near future …….she ought to give "joe the plumber" a job in alaska !!!!!

Pumpkin Eater   November 7th, 2008 9:16 pm ET

Seeing how Governor Palin and Senator Clinton were treated in news stories and by late night comedians do you think ANY young girls in the US will EVER aspire to run for President? When the girls get criticised for spending thousands on clothes and the boys can spend millions on stage props and ads? When nobody comments on how the boys are dressed but look at that dress Michelle Obama wore on stage? I remember stories on how Ferraro dressed rather than on what she said. When the boys can leave the family and criss-cross the country without comment, but everyone wonders how the girls can leave their babies; or they get criticised for taking them along? CNN should poll young GIRLS and ask them, considering how the women have been treated in presidential elections, would they ever consider running themselves?

Max   November 7th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

To all the people pointing out how she hasn't denied anything they said…

She has. Days ago.

I find it interesting how many Obama supporters criticize the news when they are bashing their candidate. But you're so willing to lap it all up when they cite anonymous sources suggesting that she couldn't name the countries in North America.

I wonder if any such folks like "Shrek", "tee" "Jeff the independent", etc will ever come to realize what shameless hypocrites they are.

Tracy   November 7th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

Are we expected to feel sorry for her? She was willing to do whatever it took to be the VP and knew exactly what she was doing and the type of people she was working with. Deal with the fall out – did she honestly think that the "rats" she was willing to work with would not turn on each other once they lost?

Sarah   November 7th, 2008 9:15 pm ET

The media buried her and people putting comments on CNN buried her as well. I have seen unfair treatment from the public ; for example, the media did not say even one bad thing about or toward Obama but they did toward Sarah Palin. (I don't know maybe they were afraid of black people's riot if they did toward Obama??)

Sarah Palin is who she is and people should respect that as well. She is a hard working mom running family and office which most men do not even imagine. I applaude her for it.

McCain campaign should not blame her on failure of getting the White House ticket. They failed mainly because people couldn't get rid of the image that McCain is same as Bush. People got tired of Replubicans and Bush and wars etc. GOP did not lose because of Sarah Palin so stop blaming on her!!! When you lose and go down, you must go down together not blaming on each other. How shameful it is!
Remember McCain and Palin had 56 million votes while Obama had 63 million votes. Not much difference in terms of votes. Remember that. If Sarah Palin was not there, McCain did not get that much votes.

David Stein   November 7th, 2008 9:14 pm ET

Who really cares, there's a huge economic mess and we really don't need to hear about this, issues PLEASE!!

Minnesota Nicegirl   November 7th, 2008 9:14 pm ET

So, essentially, when she does these things herself, on the campaign, repeatedly, it's okay, but now that it's happening to her, it's suddenly cruel and juvenile?

Quite a me-first double-standard there, Sarah.

Personally, I don't think anyone should be doing that type of thing to anyone else. I don't support it either way. But honestly… taking a dose of one's own medicine is always distasteful. Just deal.

I voted for the guy with one house and one spouse   November 7th, 2008 9:13 pm ET

The way she lied about Obama on the campaign trail, I don't feel sorry for her at all. She couldn't attack one policy vote, but made sure she instilled fear in her supporters about Obama's preacher, Bill Ayers and that dreadful word socialist. She decided early on she was going rouge, contradicting John McCain on a few issues, only interested in her own political career. She lost the election for the Maverick.

TorontoGirl   November 7th, 2008 9:12 pm ET

They were the ones who wanted her as vice president. atleast their candidate did. why are they bawling now? These "men" are pathetic. She's their scapegoat.

lilaruby   November 7th, 2008 9:10 pm ET

She probably thinks a thesaurus is some sort of dinosaur!

Former Republican in TX ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   November 7th, 2008 9:09 pm ET

So, somebody tell me– has Sarah returned all those fancy clothes bought on the GOP credit card yet??? She said they would be going to charity….

Its over   November 7th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

Access your inner Andy Griffith,

let em up, give em a pat , get back in the game

not a fan of Palin, but believe in good sportsmanship.

Show us, show the world, what civility is…….c'mon I dare ya

dwayne   November 7th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

I thought she was soooo qualified! She would make a great V/P! Now, just like I expected once as McSenile lost, his aides would double cross her and blame her that she was the reason why they lost! With Palin or without, McSenile sold he soul to the same guys that Karl Rove had to bad mouth him in 2000! If McSenile and his aides what to blame anyone they should blame themselves siding with the worst President and Administration in modern history!

BKMC   November 7th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

Palin's selection says a lot about McCain's lack of judgement. McCain has used Sarah as much as he can including using her daugther Bristol, her son Track a high school drop-out who went to Irak and her younger son with Dawn syndrome Trig for political benefit. Sarah is not particularly inteligent, that is for sure, but McCain is not inteligent too, that was a couple of two blind people who were trying to help each other and win an election.

Justin Time   November 7th, 2008 9:07 pm ET

Ooooohhh dat not nice to be mean to Sarah. Sarah never been mean to nobody nohow, never told a lie, never tried to question anyone's character or reputation or patriotism for his country (oops). It really hurts to think there are mean McPain camp managers who actually would whisper such vile things behind yer back even (You betcha!). Regards, Sarah.

Kate   November 7th, 2008 9:06 pm ET

She's still an idiot.

Faye   November 7th, 2008 9:05 pm ET

why doesnt she just go away??

Anonymous   November 7th, 2008 9:05 pm ET

There is someone out there who respects Palin? For what?! Because she is an obnoxious, uneducated, racist, social climbing bully?

I can see how GOP might consider her useful to pander to the lowest element in the party… I can understand why McCain, who always showed complete lack of respect for women, could believe that Palin will garner all of Sen. Clinton's votes (because we are all interchangeable, of course)… But respect?!

tanyia   November 7th, 2008 9:04 pm ET

Poor little Sarah can dish it out but she cannot take it. When she was spewing her hate and lies about President elect Obama did she care that her words were hateful and lies…no.

A Real American   November 7th, 2008 9:04 pm ET

Cruel and cowardly? Kind of like her convention speech, you mean?

Vicki   November 7th, 2008 9:04 pm ET

Why is Sarah now surprised that she is being blamed for this astronomical loss? If she were as perceptive as she pretends to be, she would have seen this coming a long time ago. Someone has to be blame for the scam of a campaign McCain has run.

hmmm   November 7th, 2008 9:03 pm ET

Jerks? lol

Oww she looks like she got bullied and now she is going to throw a fit.

Imagine if she was Prez.

Anytime a crisis would occur, she would run to her room sobbing like a little baby she is.

I think that is one of the reasons why America does not want to elect a female president. It's all about emotions.

America chose Barack who is half black, why? coz he wasn't running to help black people but to help America.

Hilary might have been a chance however barbie dolls like Palin will never get the support of the average american looking for a leader.

JWB   November 7th, 2008 9:02 pm ET

"Those were taken out of context and that's cruel," Palin said.

I just wonder in what context not knowing that Africa is a continent and not a country would be acceptable?

Carla Patterson   November 7th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

At first I could have cared less about John McCain and his twit. But after actually witnessing the hurt ashamement and dishonor on his faceof course I"am a person of feelings. If he hadn"t been so eagered to get back at obama about not having Hillary on his ticket he probably would have ran a better race. But I heard his wife Cindy picked her, so that may mean someone at home is tired of politics!

End Of An Error   November 7th, 2008 9:01 pm ET

As more of these stories come out, Sarah Palin is appearing less and less honest.

The sad part is that the stories fit with her behavior during the campaign and the other stories that came out of Wasilla.

Between Palin and anonymous sources in McCain's campaign staff, I have to trust the anonymous sources. It all just fits.

Normal C   November 7th, 2008 9:00 pm ET

I agree with her. To cut her down, anonymously, after the election is absolutely cowardly. I have never been a fan of Sarah Palin's, but she's got more guts than all of McCain's aides put together.

MrPragmatic   November 7th, 2008 9:00 pm ET

Well, Sarah, if you're going to step into the ring unprepared you're going to take a few sucker punches. Maybe now you'll start to understand how horribly over your head you were and how you never really had a chance at this thing. Look, you and Todd are cut from Alaska cloth, and that cloth will never wear in D.C. Stay in Alaska, stay sheltered and stay happy. You got bruised up pretty badly in your VP bid. But any further forays into D.C. and I'm pretty sure you'll have your bones picked clean. It's really not your town. Please – for the sake of you, your family, and the rest of the country – stay in Alaska and continue doing what you do there. You'll never be scrutinized there and that seems to fit your political style very well.

Susan   November 7th, 2008 8:59 pm ET

If you can't play with the big boys, stay out of the lower 48. We don't miss you at all. We play bare knuckle, hardball down here – doncha know? You betcha!

Northern Light   November 7th, 2008 8:58 pm ET

I can't imagine how Sarah comments could be taken "out of context", she is so CLEAR, CONSISE and ARTICULATE!!! You Betcha!!! She has mastered the English langage and can actually string some words together to make a sentence!! Wow, that is all I can say!!!!!

Sara from Arizona   November 7th, 2008 8:58 pm ET

She is so right!! Great Lady.

G.R.I.T - Girl Raised in the South   November 7th, 2008 8:58 pm ET

They may be cowardly, in fact if they are "anonymous" then they are cowardly, however, I'm not sure they are "cruel". It may be rude and hurtful, but, as I've said for a few months now, Ms. Palin, you reap what you sow. Ms. Palin, you riled up crowds of your supporters using loaded words like terrorist and socialism. You never tried to put a stop to the obvious and disgusting displays of hatred at your rallies. You displayed to all of us the depth of your ignorance regarding world affairs, the financial crisis, the constitution, the role of the V.P., and numerous other matters. So if someone leaks information about your lack of knowledge and lack of intellectual curiosity, and it hurts your feelings, well, I'm sorry. You positioned yourself to speak for all women and you did not. In fact, you hurt us through your intolerance, religious zeal, your anti-choice stance, and your ignorance. You single handedly set women in politics back. Maybe I should put it this way, what goes around, comes around. You lashed out verbally, now you are getting your reward.

Cynthia; Bham   November 7th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

In the real sense they were cruel and cowardly and they knew what they were getting when the chose her. You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

That's it?! She didn't say anything else quotable?   November 7th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

That's too unbelievable.

Cowards that sabotaged the McCain campaign now playing the blame game, messing it up for ALL the rest of them, because now there are no politicians who'll want to work with ANY of them.

Dean did a good thing exposing the criminal at the White House but he was shunned after that. Nobody could trust him with their hair down. But that was justified. This is just pure spite.

Or maybe it's just confirmation that they were there to make sure McCain would lose all along…

Jeff an Independent   November 7th, 2008 8:57 pm ET

Note, however, that she isn't really denying that these things are true.

tee   November 7th, 2008 8:55 pm ET

They are telling the truth. The fact the some people in this country were ready to accept below average for the second highest position in this country is ridiculous. Who is her Dick Cheney in Alaska? She is not governing alone.

The Lady   November 7th, 2008 8:55 pm ET

The fact that the race is over and there is still bickering going on makes me wonder what was going during the election. The race is over quit crying about spilled milk.

gwen   November 7th, 2008 8:53 pm ET

Does any of this surprise anyone?

Great Concession Speech   November 7th, 2008 8:52 pm ET

Enough already: this woman is dumber than a box of rocks.

Joe the $1/4M plumber, Idaho Falls   November 7th, 2008 8:49 pm ET

Turn the channel on her speaky, fingernails-on-a-chalkboard voice/message already!

These Guys are Something   November 7th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Sarah Palin has an amazing effect on a lot of men—–they all want her so badly, and since they know they can't have her, they choose to attack and demean her as a way of getting even. Keith Olbermann fits that category very well.

These are very small, very pathetic men: the kind of guys (Olbermann included) who don raincoats when they visit porn theaters.

Simmy   November 7th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

What is your obsession with this woman? Let her go back to governing Alaska and move on!

She was a dreadful candidate. The sooner she is history the better!

Those aides are probably telling the truth since she told so many lies!

dbcrum   November 7th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

These unnamed sources are cowards.

Lilarose in Bandon, Oregon   November 7th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Sarah loves only Sarah.

I really don't care about this woman and wish she would just go away!

abraxis   November 7th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

Although it doesn't surprise me about the things Palin does not know. It is cowardly to defame someone behind their backs. But then, it came from GOP sources, that has been and is their modus operandi all this time. Now, the lion is eating its young. Observers, stay clear of the carnage!

pastjob   November 7th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that she does not know what she is talking about. If Mcshame's own people are bringing it up that means that there is some truth about it.

Frank Lee   November 7th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

Aw, the pitbull from Wasilla is unhappy.

Another repuke that can dish it out but can't take it.

Thank God she's gone home.

Niky   November 7th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

And what she says is still relevant because..???!!!

pastjob   November 7th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that she does not know what she is talking about. If Mcshame's own people are bringing it up that means that there is some truth about it. WHO CARES!!!!!!

Shrek   November 7th, 2008 8:45 pm ET

You notice she doesn't say they aren't true.

Neecy   November 7th, 2008 8:43 pm ET

You go girlfriend! I respect you even more now. Obama should have picked you…

Eric from California   November 7th, 2008 8:42 pm ET

Jerks? JERKS?! What are you in, Junior High? There is a little book called the thesaurus. Use it. It's a book that big boys and girls use when they get older.

Ghost   November 7th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

LOL poor know nothing Palin. She is getting hit with the same crap she did to President-elect Obama. Guess it goes to show the old saying "do unto others as you would have done to you"

Texas Teacher   November 7th, 2008 8:41 pm ET

Come now… is Gov. Palin truly surprised that there is NO HONOR amongst thieves? She displayed a lack of it as well! Seriously!

Leslie   November 7th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Leave her alone! It was McCain who picked her. If McCain's aids really cared about the country, why did they continue to lie during the race by saying how qualified she was?

Shut up   November 7th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

Dearie, we sent you back home to Alaska so we would not have to listen to you anymore. Go drill baby, drill, and leave the lower 48 alone.
