Palin calls attacks 'cruel' and 'cowardly'

Sources close to John McCain say Sarah Palin was denied a chance to speak at McCain's concession address.
Sources close to John McCain say Sarah Palin was denied a chance to speak at McCain's concession address.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called former aides of Sen. John McCain "jerks" for circulating unflattering stories about her since the Republican ticket lost its bid for the White House Tuesday.

The stories, which have been attributed to unnamed sources within the McCain campaign, include claims that Palin did not know Africa was a continent instead of a country, or which countries are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, despite touting her familiarity with neighboring Canada.

Speaking with CNN's Gary Tuchman after returning to Alaska, Palin speculated those stories may have originated with campaign staffers who helped her prepare for her debate with Democratic Vice President-elect Joe Biden.

  1. Shut up

Dearie, we sent you back home to Alaska so we would not have to listen to you anymore. Go drill baby, drill, and leave the lower 48 alone.

Leave her alone! It was McCain who picked her. If McCain's aids really cared about the country, why did they continue to lie during the race by saying how qualified she was?

Come now... is Gov. Palin truly surprised that there is NO HONOR amongst thieves? She displayed a lack of it as well! Seriously!

LOL poor know nothing Palin. She is getting hit with the same crap she did to President-elect Obama. Guess it goes to show the old saying "do unto others as you would have done to you"

Jerks? JERKS?! What are you in, Junior High? There is a little book called the thesaurus. Use it. It's a book that big boys and girls use when they get older.

you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that she does not know what she is talking about. If Mcshame's own people are bringing it up that means that there is some truth about it. WHO CARES!!!!!!

Although it doesn't surprise me about the things Palin does not know. It is cowardly to defame someone behind their backs. But then, it came from GOP sources, that has been and is their modus operandi all this time. Now, the lion is eating its young. Observers, stay clear of the carnage!

I really don't care about this woman and wish she would just go away!

What is your obsession with this woman? Let her go back to governing Alaska and move on!

She was a dreadful candidate. The sooner she is history the better!

Those aides are probably telling the truth since she told so many lies!

  16. These Guys are Something

Sarah Palin has an amazing effect on a lot of men-–they all want her so badly, and since they know they can't have her, they choose to attack and demean her as a way of getting even. Keith Olbermann fits that category very well.

These are very small, very pathetic men: the kind of guys (Olbermann included) who don raincoats when they visit porn theaters.

The fact that the race is over and there is still bickering going on makes me wonder what was going during the election. The race is over quit crying about spilled milk.

They are telling the truth. The fact the some people in this country were ready to accept below average for the second highest position in this country is ridiculous. Who is her Dick Cheney in Alaska? She is not governing alone.

  23. That's it?! She didn't say anything else quotable?

    That's too unbelievable.

Cowards that sabotaged the McCain campaign now playing the blame game, messing it up for ALL the rest of them, because now there are no politicians who'll want to work with ANY of them.

Dean did a good thing exposing the criminal at the White House but he was shunned after that. Nobody could trust him with their hair down. But that was justified. This is just pure spite.

Or maybe it's just confirmation that they were there to make sure McCain would lose all along...

In the real sense they were cruel and cowardly and they knew what they were getting when the chose her. You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

They may be cowardly, in fact if they are "anonymous" then they are cowardly, however, I'm not sure they are "cruel". It may be rude and hurtful, but, as I've said for a few months now, Ms. Palin, you reap what you sow. Ms. Palin, you riled up crowds of your supporters using loaded words like terrorist and socialism. You never tried to put a stop to the obvious and disgusting displays of hatred at your rallies. You displayed to all of us the depth of your ignorance regarding world affairs, the financial crisis, the constitution, the role of the V.P., and numerous other matters. So if someone leaks information about your lack of knowledge and lack of intellectual curiosity, and it hurts your feelings, well, I'm sorry. You positioned yourself to speak for all women and you did not. In fact, you hurt us through your intolerance, religious zeal, your anti-choice stance, and your ignorance. You single handedly set women in politics back. Maybe I should put it this way, what goes around, comes around. You lashed out verbally, now you are getting your reward.
