Palin calls attacks 'cruel' and 'cowardly'

Sources close to John McCain say Sarah Palin was denied a chance to speak at McCain's concession address.

Sources close to John McCain say Sarah Palin was denied a chance to speak at McCain's concession address.

(CNN) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called former aides of Sen. John McCain "jerks" for circulating unflattering stories about her since the Republican ticket lost its bid for the White House Tuesday.

The stories, which have been attributed to unnamed sources within the McCain campaign, include claims that Palin did not know Africa was a continent instead of a country, or which countries are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, despite touting her familiarity with neighboring Canada.

Speaking with CNN's Gary Tuchman after returning to Alaska, Palin speculated those stories may have originated with campaign staffers who helped her prepare for her debate with Democratic Vice President-elect Joe Biden.

I can't imagine how Sarah comments could be taken "out of context", she is so CLEAR, CONSISE and ARTICULATE!!! You Betcha!!! She has mastered the English langage and can actually string some words together to make a sentence!! Wow, that is all I can say!!!!!

If you can't play with the big boys, stay out of the lower 48. We don't miss you at all. We play bare knuckle, hardball down here – doncha know? You betcha!

Well, Sarah, if you're going to step into the ring unprepared you're going to take a few sucker punches. Maybe now you'll start to understand how horribly over your head you were and how you never really had a chance at this thing. Look, you and Todd are cut from Alaska cloth, and that cloth will never wear in D.C. Stay in Alaska, stay sheltered and stay happy. You got bruised up pretty badly in your VP bid. But any further forays into D.C. and I'm pretty sure you'll have your bones picked clean. It's really not your town. Please – for the sake of you, your family, and the rest of the country – stay in Alaska and continue doing what you do there. You'll never be scrutinized there and that seems to fit your political style very well.

I agree with her. To cut her down, anonymously, after the election is absolutely cowardly. I have never been a fan of Sarah Palin's, but she's got more guts than all of McCain's aides put together.

  6. End Of An Error

As more of these stories come out, Sarah Palin is appearing less and less honest.

The sad part is that the stories fit with her behavior during the campaign and the other stories that came out of Wasilla.

Between Palin and anonymous sources in McCain's campaign staff, I have to trust the anonymous sources. It all just fits.

At first I could have cared less about John McCain and his twit. But after actually witnessing the hurt ashamement and dishonor on his faceof course I"am a person of feelings. If he hadn"t been so eagered to get back at obama about not having Hillary on his ticket he probably would have ran a better race. But I heard his wife Cindy picked her, so that may mean someone at home is tired of politics!

"Those were taken out of context and that's cruel," Palin said.

I just wonder in what context not knowing that Africa is a continent and not a country would be acceptable?

  9. hmmm

    Jerks? lol

Oww she looks like she got bullied and now she is going to throw a fit.

    Imagine if she was Prez.

Anytime a crisis would occur, she would run to her room sobbing like a little baby she is.

I think that is one of the reasons why America does not want to elect a female president. It's all about emotions.

America chose Barack who is half black, why? coz he wasn't running to help black people but to help America.

Hilary might have been a chance however barbie dolls like Palin will never get the support of the average american looking for a leader.

Why is Sarah now surprised that she is being blamed for this astronomical loss? If she were as perceptive as she pretends to be, she would have seen this coming a long time ago. Someone has to be blame for the scam of a campaign McCain has run.

There is someone out there who respects Palin? For what?! Because she is an obnoxious, uneducated, racist, social climbing bully?

I can see how GOP might consider her useful to pander to the lowest element in the party... I can understand why McCain, who always showed complete lack of respect for women, could believe that Palin will garner all of Sen. Clinton's votes (because we are all interchangeable, of course)... But respect?!

Ooooohhh dat not nice to be mean to Sarah. Sarah never been mean to nobody nohow, never told a lie, never tried to question anyone's character or reputation or patriotism for his country (oops). It really hurts to think there are mean McPain camp managers who actually would whisper such vile things behind yer back even (You betcha!). Regards, Sarah.

Palin's selection says a lot about McCain's lack of judgement. McCain has used Sarah as much as he can including using her daugther Bristol, her son Track a high school drop-out who went to Irak and her younger son with Dawn syndrome Trig for political benefit. Sarah is not particularly inteligent, that is for sure, but McCain is not inteligent too, that was a couple of two blind people who were trying to help each other and win an election.

I thought she was soooo qualified! She would make a great V/P! Now, just like I expected once as McSenile lost, his aides would double cross her and blame her that she was the reason why they lost! With Palin or without, McSenile sold he soul to the same guys that Karl Rove had to bad mouth him in 2000! If McSenile and his aides what to blame anyone they should blame themselves siding with the worst President and Administration in modern history!

  23. I voted for the guy with one house and one spouse

The way she lied about Obama on the campaign trail, I don't feel sorry for her at all. She couldn't attack one policy vote, but made sure she instilled fear in her supporters about Obama's preacher, Bill Ayers and that dreadful word socialist. She decided early on she was going rouge, contradicting John McCain on a few issues, only interested in her own political career. She lost the election for the Maverick.

So, essentially, when she does these things herself, on the campaign, repeatedly, it's okay, but now that it's happening to her, it's suddenly cruel and juvenile?

    Quite a me-first double-standard there, Sarah.

Personally, I don't think anyone should be doing that type of thing to anyone else. I don't support it either way. But honestly... taking a dose of one's own medicine is always distasteful. Just deal.
