Lessons for conservatives:
1. You can NEVER spread Democracy with the barrel of a gun, it’s a biting wit.
2. Global free market is NOT capable of regulating itself for the greater good of society.
3. Conservative hostility towards environmental concerns is an irony.
4. Ronald Reagan is dead, and he's not coming back. The intellectual poverty of the GOP will continue to cost you dearly.

I am not very surprised at the poll figures though I am amazed at how long it took for people to see this. The fact that he is less popular than Nixon when he resigned is what is most surprising.

Now that Dubya is a lame duck, I will be very surprised if he gets anything accomplished to change his popularity numbers - except during the final 24 hours with all the pardons he will be handing out. Don't be surprised if "Scooter" gets one...

As much as I despise George Bush, our problems don't stem from him. They come from ourselves. As a country, we all need to do penance for the stupid mistakes that we've allowed this country to make in the last eight years. Sure, Bush is an inept, raving maniac, but this country has millions of inept raving maniacs that we DIDN'T elect as president. Yet we allowed ourselves to be duped by a Nazi-like manipulation of our fears, our religions, and our prejudices. We allowed these weaknesses to take this country from the darling of the world to the pariah of the world. Bush didn't do it. We did it to ourselves. The good thing about our democracy is that it is a self-healing creature, and we have tools to bring about immediate healing, but we chose not to use them because it would be "divisive". We have nobody to blame but ourselves.

Both Bush and Congress should get the lowest ratings in history. Bush isnt the ojnly problem so are those fools in congress. Unfortunately, those who hated Bush went ahead and kept in idiots like Pelosi, Frank, Murtha, and Reid. Nothing will change because we still have career polticians in charge.

Bush brought all this on himself. He BRAGGED over and over that he didn't "pay attention to polls", which reflected what Americans wanted him to do. His disgraceful failure to do anything for 4 days while Americans were suffering in a major city was just typical of his lack of caring about anyone but himself.

WORST DISAPPROVAL RATING IN ITS HISTORY. Richly deserved.

I would often wonder durning both terms of this sitting President how he could sleep at night, and I will always be proud of the fact that I did not vote for him once. Someone once said that he was someone that you would have liked to go out for a beer with. As Hillary Clinton said "maybe we should have left it as that." Thank goodness the days of slackers in the White House are soon to be over. We will soon have a former President of the Harvard Law Review as a sitting President, something we can all be proud of. I would prefer Joe Mensa as our President as opposed to Joe regular guy.

It's a new day!

President Bush has had his chance. It's time to give change a chance!

Move over critics - President Obama shut your mouths in the primaries against Clinton, and in the campaign against McCain.

He's going keep shutting your critical mouths, until you concede that he's doing a heck of a job!

Print That!

Although I voted for President-elect Obama because I to was fed up with the policies of the Bush administration, I am very disturbed at the unrelenting disrespect for the President I read on these posts. Until Rush Lamebrain and the other right wing comedians started that type of disrespectful broadcasting when President Clinton was elected, there was a common philosophy in this country that you were free to disagree with the current administration's policies but were respectful of the office of President and the person holding that office. Unfortunately we have seen that type of adult, intelligent disagreement and discourse replaced with anonymous vile rhetoric that is very unproductive to say the least.

Come on folks, let's return to a time of civility and good judgement!

Whoever blogs under the name of sweetie has a very narrow perception of what is going on with the thinking Obama will have a worse approval rating than Bush.

Bush is a war criminal along with his cronies and is responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and injuries not only to U.S. military but to innocent Iraqi men, women and children.

Guatanamo Bay and torture have dragged the U.S. down to a nation generally regarded as third world both domestically and internationally.

This man is evil personified.

Whoever said technology was progress has been so mistaken when it comes to most of these blogs. I never saw such hate and mean-spirited dialogue as in this political period. It makes me ashamed for you.

As for Mr. Bush, even you don' respect the man, you have to respect the office. He is still our president. He kept me and my family safe after 9/11 and brought out the eternal good spirit that makes this country great. Don't you all remember the flags that were displayed all over our nation to declare to the world that they did not break us? He taught my grandchildren what patriotism is. For that I am grateful to him. Thank you, Mr. Bush.

I did not vote for Mr. Obama, but he has my full support. He will be my president and I wish him all the best in the years to come. if I ever have the opportuity to help him, I will.

It's time to move on, people.

No surprise...his approval ratings keep getting worse the longer he stays in office.

Bush and Cheney built their whole agenda about profiteering for big $ constituents in Iraq reconstruction projects. They need to stand trial for a pack of lies, dishonesty and deceit.

Noah November 10th, 2008 12:26 pm ET

Big deal. President Truman had 22% approval ratings when he left office and he is now considered to be the 7th most popular and best President in history. Bush's image and legacy will be repaired in the years to come once the Left finally admit that he did a great job protecting us and we see the progress that will be made in Iraq. Almost every President has a poor approval rating when they leave office. Even wildily popular Presidents like Clinton.
---------------------------------------
Maybe you're right. Maybe fifty years from now, historians will see Bush as a good president.

But for now, until then, Bush sucks more than any president has sucked before!

Noah,

Do your homework. The 9/11 attacks were a direct result of US troops in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War, started by Bush I. Bin Laden thought it a desecration to have foreign troops on Saudi soil.

Nothing Clinton did provoked the attacks. Do your homework before you show the world how much of a dunce you are.

I love to see all these people with personal problems put all their blame on a president who does not have any real power.

Fact = This government has checks and balances so NO ONE MAN can screw up this country. At least President Bush does not go with the "popular crowd" and does what he thinks is best.

I fear for this country with Barack as president.

Bush made mistakes. A lot of mistakes. I don't think we can deny that. His approval ratings and history will likely reflect that.

I am in awe that so many people are judging Obama before he even takes office. Give the man a chance first. If you've already decided his presidency will be bad, you will never see anything but what you want to see.

I didn't elect Bush in 2000, but he was my president. l judged him based on the decisions he made in office. I think any president deserves an opportunity to prove himself first.

When Obama's promised CHANGE does not materialize for his dolting followers, you can expect his approval ratings to plummet.

Get over it, you lost. The country wants and needs a new direction and that does not include the Republican Pary.

You have to love the thinking of the 24%. No wonder the states is going down hill. What a clown show.

Truth Hurts November 10th, 2008 12:24 pm ET

Obama will not suffer such low approval ratings as Bush, because he will be a one term president.

He will get tossed out of office for broken promises, including huge tax hikes and program cuts, which are his idea of "Change"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We shall see. I bet you were one of the guys that thought that McCain would beat Obama. Remember, even after Bill Clinton was impeached, his approval rating was in the 60's.
Bush's is lower than Nixon.

Now, if that doesn't suck, then I don't know what does.

To Ski and many others,

The president cannot just act willy nilly on his own. He is only one branch or the government. Thankfully, we have a check and balances in place. He could not have gone to war without Congress. Just ask Senator Biden who voted for the Iraq War.

I did not vote for him in 2000 or in 2004. I vote for Gore and Kerry. But I can understand that he is privy to information I am not nor should be. And I do think that as the elected leader of our country he should bear the brunt of the responsbility for the mess we are in because his job is to protect us. And he failed to protect us within our borders from a financial meltdown. However, congress was also asleep at the wheel (with the exception of a few voices) and is culpable as well and should be held accountable.

If the liberal media would report ALL the news, the truth, the facts, without spin, and if people would admit their own sins, President Bush's approval rating would be high. If one were to write down all the good that Bush has accomplished instead of blaming him for all the failures of this country one would clearly see that Bush is one of the best presidents this country will ever have. Obama won the election with the help of the msm and anyone who doesn't realize that is just simply duped. The msm has tremendous influence because of the ignorance of the American people. So they can include themselves in the cause for the downfall of this country. All you folks who think it's all about the economy should expect nothing good if you are a "Christian" because God will not bless this nation while it continues to promote the killing of the unborn, the homosexual lifestyle, fornication, adultery, pornography, greed, etc. Everyone who has rejected the Biblical principles this country was founded on should not expect any blessing from God. This country needs a revival IN the church and throughout the country. Your own choices are what has brought on the destruction of this country. Your choice to abort, your choice to fornicate, your choice to exploit women, your choice to choose to live sexually perverse, your choice to be greedy, etc. It's not President Bush's fault any more than it is your own fault. So who's fault is it? President Bush is FAR more upright than anyone who accuses him.

Now let's see if CNN posts this one. .

Who comes up with these ratings ? Many people like me are not well represented in these polls.
Bush made a few mistakes; the Iraq war and aftermath, increased spending and increased government. But, to generalize and blame him for the Economy and every other American problem is not fair. History will be kind to him, for keeping us safe and for his courage. It will also show that he brought democracy to the Middle East.
Sincerely,
An Indian American.

The answer to your question is the owners, employees, stockholders and family members of FOX News. Any day now they will be declaring McCain and Palin the winners.

Obama was right when he said that there isn't a "red" America and a "blue" America. It's actually a stupid America (those who think Bush is a great President) and a non-stupid America (those who know better).

It's so funny when the neocons try to blame the " liberal media" for them looking bad. Like the economy, Iraq, and all the criminal things that the Bush Adminstration has done are mirages. Silly Neocons....denial isn't just in Egypt.

For those of you that bash Bush let's see how history judges him. I don't think he will go down as a great president by any means, but his presidency is far from the worse and he will end up somewhere in the middle. Clinton's sure didn't help with letting Bin Laden off the hook and screwing up the banking industry.

I think Clinton' legacy will sink considerably once history judges his policies and how they led to the banking downfall we are experiencing.

And Carter, still in the toilet after all these years.

Obama, before you all anoit him savior of the world, he hasn't done anything yet... actually done anything ever, so be careful in bashing Bush when your guy has only been talk and promises so far.

No matter how low Bush's approval rating goes it is still way higher than that of Congress. How pathetic is that. The mission over the next few elections is simple. If you are in power now then vote them out come their next re election. We need a governement that works for us, not their party or political backers. No more Reid, Pelosi, Dodd or Frank.

Thanks to George Bush for helping elect Barack Obama. I don't think Obama would have won if he had not been running against the Bush legacy. 2000 and 2004 made 2008 possible. I thought I wanted him impeached, but, had he been impeached, Obama might not have been elected. Too late to impeach now as he is "sprinting to the finish line." I'll bet he is.

Maybe people wont hide behind the bible, and look at the facts, and not beliefs the next time they make a descision that affects the entire country. Educate yourself people. There are libraries all over this country... there is no excuse for it. I never voted BUSH into office, and I sure as heck cant wait for his EXIT out!
