I think it was Bob Bullock in the Texas Legislature to said something about George Bush (when he was Governor) that I'll paraphrase about Sarah Pailn:

"When ignorance starts going for $100 a barrel, I want drilling rights on Sarah Palin's head."

On one part, I blame John McCain for the huge loss because of his poor judgement and his selfish thirst to fulfill his long time ambition. If John McCain had paused for a moment to consider the jeopardy that his victory would've put the country+[the rest of the world] into, as a result of including the opportunistic/defiant/uninformed Sarah Palin on the ticket. That decision alone was the beginning of Sen McCain's political downfall; and contrary to his argument that he'd rather lose an election than lose a war. This once respected man put his ambition before the country because he was so desperate to win the election and fulfill his agelong ambition. I can understand that some political moves are expected to be made by individual campaigns, but John McCain lost the admiration people had for him just because of this selfish and dumb political move.

As for Gov. Sarah Palin, she is a Joke! I'm still trying to figure out what was so funny to the republican base at the convention when whe said "...the difference between a hockey mum and a pitbull, lipstick". I found that so disgusting and ridiculous, while some people (republican base) connected to her as a result of statements like that; I don't get it!

Gov. Sarah Palin has the gut to blame Bush for the failure she brought unto the party (or at least contributed mostly)? She needs to shut up and go into exile, cos she is a failure.

C'mon Palin, don't make excuses. You damaged even more to "THAT" person (MCcain) who was already damaged enough and showed you his SCARS and BRUISES also. Why you are making your and your party's life miserable now?
It is all over....just keep doing what you are doing to harm your BROTHR-IN-LAW.
OH I forgot, by the way , Did Joe the plumber move to ALASKA ?

I am amazed! This is the first intelligent thing I have heard Palin say.

With the Bush record, it should have been a Goldwater-style wipeout for the GOP, and they were indeed lucky to come as close as they did. I can't for the life of me figure out how 46-47% of the population would consider voting for a Republican, given everything that had gone wrong.

I think without her on the ticket, the GOP should have got 41-42%. With her, 38-39%. She did energize the base, although she certainly turned off more people than she added.

I yield to no one in my detestation of Sarah Palin, but with Bush's approval rating in the 25% range, that would certainly seem to be sufficient cause for the GOP to have gone down in flames. How, indeed, did they do as well as they did?

Scary thought. Racism, anyone?

Sarah - go home already! Isn't your town missing you yet?

And - what's really funny - is that it appears Bush actually likes Obama! Or - at least more so than he does McCain. He seems to be smiling a lot more now that is tenure is near an end. I wonder if he really voted for McCain or just said that?

She's correct. Pres. Bush has done some things right and some things wrong. Unfortunately, the wrong things are the ones we remember and they weighed down the GOP this election. The republicans will be back, as we all know the dems will mess things up even more.

That's probably the first truthful thing Sarah Palin has said in a public forum, however she was completely aligned with the policies of Bush (even though she has no clue as to what they are. ) Good bye, Sarah. We don't need to hear anything further from you.

NOPE...it was more than Bush, it was Palin and John McCain and their slimey vulgar campaign that lost the election for them.
Palin is a laughingstock, and she shamed herself and our country.
Both she and McCain shamed our country with their vile campaign.

It is wonderful she is seeking and getting more air time. A politician who wants a future in politics knows you never air your gripes ad nauseum to the media. Tell your therapist. Tell your witch casting out with prayer minister. Tell yourself. But you never, ever go public and seek air time with your beefs. Maybe that works to her advantage in small town back woods towns like Wasilla, but in national politics it's the kiss of death. She keeps portraying herself as stupid.

Palin sounds just like other politicians pointing the finger at someone else for their problem. The problems in this country are not entirely the fault of W but the idiots in Congress. Doesnt anyone understand the President cannot do anything that Congress doesnt allow him to do. The Republicans stood by for over six years and watched him recommend the country to the deficit and financial problems and war we are facing now and for the last two years with dumb and dumber leading the Democrats voted to allow Bush to increase the deficit and continue a war. If anyone failed the most it is the Democrats because they had the opportunity to make a big difference and failed miserably.

Obama a socialist? America has been practicing socialism for quite some time. It has been disguised as welfare payments, subsidised housing, food stamp programmes and state sponsored education. I can understand wanting to distance your campaign from Bush and his policies, but I think the real reason The McCain ticket lost was the electorate realized that they were one stroke, heart attack, or anything else away from having Sarah as their president. Scary.

The Republican Party lost the race, which includes BUSH,McCLAIN and PALIN.Palin could have stayed at home if only she was honest with the party by saying I'm not Qualified to be Vise President. She knew that she was out of her league, just looking into her record as Governor anyone could have seen that. She failed to see or didn't want to see that the only reason McClain picked her is because he had this great idea that having a female on his ticket would apppeal to the female voters and he could win the election,BOY WAS HE SOO WRONG.Only voter she appeal to was a few male voter who wasn't voting for her because of her brains or lack of,I think they voted for her cause they thought she looked good in those 150,000 cloths, which I heard that the RNC is going after her to get their money back.Wow she can't win for losing. That election cost her big bucks and she didn't even win.Oh well, hopefully she learned A GREAT LESSION,"Its always better to be yourself, cause its so hard trying to be someone your not".

Don't you love how Republicans try to blame congress for the current crises when George Bush vetoed important Democratic initiative? Democratic policies can't be to blame for the mess we're in for the simple reason that none of them were enacted. Starting in January we'll see those initiatives becoming laws and then we'll have a chance to fairly judge the congress and the president.

What Sarah Palin fails to realize is that Bush policy is also McCain Policy as he voted for Bush Policies 90%of the time by his own admission, we were sick and tired of all of them and the country spoke resoundingly. Now Sarah Palin needs to go off into yonder night never to return but she already showed her cards she wants to be president in 8 years the sad thing is that she told a comedian not the president of France as she thought!!!!!! How incompetent and naiive

Sarah Palin SHOULD be saying she blames Palin and McCain for their loss, not Bush! Perhaps, too, she might give a bit of credit to President Elect Obama and Vice President Elect Biden for running an "above board", positive campaign that actually included a plan for this great country, not just a bunch of smears thrown at their opponents and their party. Any fault for failure belongs clearly on the shoulders of Sen. McCan and Gov. Palin.

Actually Palin is right. It was not her fault. It was McCain's fault for choosing her. If he had picked either Romney or Ridge, it would have been a lot closer and maybe even a win.

When I first heard of the announcement of Sarah Palin as the candidate, I said to anyone who would listen: This election is over! Having recently watched "W", I feel the saim empathy and pain for Governor Pakin as I do for our current President. I am still amazed that so many people still chose to cast their votes for McCain. Actually, I think he could have won had he chosen Romney or Huckaby and presented the same demeanor he exhibited during his concession speech instead of that angry, cheerleader tyrant tht emerged in the last weeks of the campaign. Let the healing begin .

She's not one to talk. Palin is in no position to blame anyone for her own loss. Time to look at herself in the mirror and quit blaming Bush.

Her negative and offensive remarks on the trail have more to do with the loss than anything. Palin is a lightning rod of polarization and divisive politics.

Now ain't that just amazing? Here's a gal who's running for the 2nd highest office in the land who's culturally and historically illiterate, who doesn't know that Africa isn't a country, who doesn't know what written media she reads, who thinks she's singlehandedly held off Russia and Canada from invading (Alaska), who doesn't know the VP's relationship to the Senate, who promotes the aerial hunting of wolves, and who blames her failures on Bush. Yikes! Just how low (after Bush) does America have to stoop before we realize that this kind of illiteracy no longer flies?

red...Yeah, don't count it.
Obama has done more in 6 days than Bush has done in 6 months, He has ideas and plans...shocking, isn't it?

Palin is talking this talk because she wants to be in the mix in 2012. If she is the best the Republicans have, I think we can call the election today.

Bush's record reflected republicans...period. The only reason McCain had support from the republican side was because he was their only hope to trick the American people into thinking republicans were something different than they actually are.

It's nice to see that Palin is able to realize the connection between discontent among American's and Bush. Maybe one day she'll make the extra connection in her mind that links Bush to the rest of the republicans, including McCain, that were more than happy to go along for the ride over the last 8 years.

This woman is so divisive threads about her have people at each others throats. Thats enough to convince me that she needs to stay in Alaska.

She did'nt have the intellectual curiosity to educate herself on any of the policy issues of the last ten years (according to her coaches). She knows Alaska and needs to just stay there and shut up.

Just wondering who she blames for her inability to form a coherent sentence, which is a perfect reflection of her inability to have a coherent thought. Does she truly not understand that SHE is a large reason that her party lost the election?

yet another typical Republican shifting blame and focus off herself. palin may not have been entirely to blame for McCain's loss obviously but she certainly had a lot to do with it.

Wow. Big Ego - just can't stop campaigning...

Sarah, first you need to learn the policies, geography, and the constitution, and then I might listen and care about what you have to say. You provide much comedic fodder, so unlike everyone else, I am not anxious for you to go away, so please......keep talking......

hahahahaha. I doubt McCain could have won even if he'd picked a qualified running mate. (Look at the electoral vote count, folks.) But for her to act like he wouldn't have gotten more votes without her is just insane. Just goes to show ya she's not smart enough. She isn't even intelligent enough to deal with Katie Couric (or tell Charlie Gibson what the Bush Doctrine is--yikes!), how anyone including her thinks she could be VP or the US of A is beyond me. She needs to shut up and go back to Alaska now. Like seriously. NOW.
