Unless the GOP wants Palin as its leader for the next several years, another party leader needs to offer herself or himself as a viable alternative. In the meantime, Palin continues to cement herself as the face of the GOP. As a democrat, I could not imagine a better scenario. I still believe the GOP has good ideas to offer in governing our country, but Palin represents none of them.

They should grow a pair! Palin has them eating out of her hands... being a woman, she knows how to rope'em and she's not done! She knows how to give them what they want to stay in the spotlight herself. Once she makes them feel comfortable with her then the real Sarah Palin will show up! I'm sure she trying to follow their lead right now but ...give her a minute and she will do them like she did the Mayor, the Govenor and the poor Librarian in Alaska.....

Of course the GOP think the same thing that many of us think,,,she has no substance, will never win an election, but want to show a united front...however, we will hear more and more that the gop is throwing her under the bus...if they don't, they know they have no chance of winning with her on the ticket in 2012. That being said, please do not keep covering her....

The GOP continue to embrace Sarah Palin as their next leader and that to me imply that the party is becoming anti-intellectual. Sarah ONLY speaks English and when she speaks, one cannot understand what the heck she saying or trying to say. Can the GOP actually envision Sarah Palin as president, representing the great US of A on the world stage...

Sarah Palin is simply filling a void left by years of Republican corruption and neglect. The fact that an unsophisticated, uninformed
politician who can't seem to articulate coherent policy statements about anything ("progress" is a verb but not the way Sarah uses it)
can actually attract a following is a sad statement about how far the GOP has fallen. As Matt Taibi put it, the fact that a fraud like Sarah Palin is holding our attention says more about us than it does about her.

While I'm not a Palin supporter, I have to give her credit...she is shrewd in the manner she appears to be building her case for a 2012 run, if that is indeed her plan. I think she said many ridiculous things, but she shouldn't be taken lightly.

At this point the buzz around Sarah Palin is far more a pop-culture phenomenon than a significant political issue.

There are large factions within the party that do not respect her, and do not regard her as a person with long term staying power. She certainly doesn't have long-term potential proportionate to all of the media attention she is getting.

This time next year, I really think we'll all be saying "Yea... Sarah Palin.... I remember her. Wasn't that whole thing so strange?.."

I'm so sick of seeing her face on every channel. I watched Matt Lauer ask her about the Katie Couric questions – specifically the one about her reading material. After sputtering around for five minutes, she finally said she was annoyed by Katie's question – that Katie had asked her what she read up there in ALASKA as opposed to what other people read in the lower 48. LIE! This is how she twists the truth. Katie never asked her what she read up in Alaska. She simply asked her what she read – period. And Palin couldn't answer. This woman is not a good person. Her Christianity is hype. She doesn't know the meaning of Godliness.
I'm thinking if we give her enough rope, she'll hang herself.

I am a working woman and would like to see a female President running this country. She does not represent me or my beliefs. I do not use my looks to succeed, it is called hard work. She is trying to redefine herself (with the media's cooperation, this time!), but don't expect her to be around 2 years from now. Wow, CNN does it again, just like the story about Palins gaff about Africa being a country and not a continent. It turns out now that the story was fabricated and not vetted as were all the other stories people keep spreading around about Sarah.
Will it make any difference...probably not, now that it is too late. The damage has been done and I say again that had she been black, none of this would have happened, simply because no one wants to appear bigoted or racist. It seems to be okay though for a white woman to be slandered again and again...go for it CNN!

Hey, CNN where is your retraction of that phony story that Palin didn't know Africa was continent rather than a nation?
And still noone points out that Joe Biden doesn't know the difference between TV and radio or what year the stock market crashed occured in (at least as far as FDR is concerned)
