I still find it hard to believe there are people who think Limbaugh is some incredibly intelligent radio personality. What spews from him is a stream of insult and envy one expects from the schoolyard bully. If you don't agree with him, you must be evil. For those of you who are so protective of him, shame on you for following someone who thinks so little of you he names you "dittoheads." As far as he's concerned, you can't think for yourselves and that's the way he wants it.

Stand up for yourselves – read a newspaper – read two. Find out the facts, stop believing everything some voice on the radio tells you or that you read on some blog on the internet. Re-read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights and find out what they really say. Give some thought to the kind of place this would be if everyone took responsibilty for their own opinions, and the consequences of their own actions.

After all, if you stop and think about what those who disagree with you think, you might see things from their point of view. You still may not agree but you might grow.

I love how the majority of comments drown out the ignorant replies on this comment board. I think America is sick of being divided and lead by fear and hate. Some of these idiots can try to spin Chucks words against him, or paint the situation negative, but at least he's manning up and telling it like it is, and anyone with common sense would agree with him.
Rush, Hannity, and Bill-O are starting to be engulfed by the fear theyve created, and all theyre going to be left with are their die-hard core listeners, while WE, the US of A, move on in unity trying to find solutions for our ailing country.

I have listened to Limbaugh on several occasions and marveled at his uncanny ability of making it the Democrats' fault of anything and everything that goes wrong in any remote corner of the world, be it a hurricane in the US or a Tsunami in Asia. This is not something new for Chuck Hagel. He has not been afraid to disagree with Republicans for a long time now. So, no, he is not trying to ingratiate himself to become a part of anybody's cabinet. He and Dick Lugar have spoken more openly and honestly about what has gone wrong for a very long time now. They were truly thinking about the wear and tear on our military for the stupid mistakes made by Bush,Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Although I have no use for their brand of "speech," it is, nonetheless, speech and needs to be protected. I think it is an abuse of First Amendment privileges on their part. One could argue the same thing about pornographers. But unlike Limbaugh, at least pornographers have a code of ethics.

Why would limbaugh run for office? Rupert Murdock pays him far more than he could ever make otherwise. In July of 2001, he signed a contract worth $285 million to carry him through 2009. That's more than 30 million a year. The President, by comparison, only gets $400K a year.

It got us a dysfunctional government, a crashing stock market and an utter failure of domestic energy policy. All of it can be laid at the feet of Liberal Republicans like Sen. Hagel and Liberal Democrats. It's time that the true Conservatives stood up and said "NO MORE" to the failure of "trying to get along."
