Um, what exactly was wrong with the Clinton era? During the Clinton era the budget was balanced and country was going in a much better direction than it it is now. So what is wrong with picking someone who served in the Clinton administration when they had obviously been doing something right? I would say picking candidates from that administration is an enormous change from our current administration.

Lets be real folks. He's obviously going to pick mostly Democrats and Clinton was the last one we had. Therefore, if he's going to pick folks with some experience, he going to have to pick some former Clinton folks. Secondly, just because some of these folks had roles within the Clinton admn, doesn't mean they are not change agents. He needs some folks with Washington experience. AND if he picks some of Clinton's economic advisors, I'd be thrilled! Bush picked lots of folks left over from the Ford, Reagan, and Bush 41 years. He also ran on a message of change. SO far though, I feel much more comfortable with Obama's picks than I did with guys like Rumsfeld.

Obama's getting people who have experience with the job. Holder's been doing this work for years. You want him to pick people from W's administration or HW's administration.. you go beyond that and you're picking people that are about to die of old age! So of course he's going to take people who have experience in Clinton's administration... which isn't exactly a negative point. Change doesn't mean you pick someone who's doesn't know a thing about the job. I'm glad he's picking people who can fit comfortably into their posts and will be ready on day 1. Isn't that what all the opposition was crying about.. not ready on day 1?

If he didn't pick someone with experience – i.e. from the Clinton administration, you'd all be criticizing Obama for not having experience and not picking people with -- experience.

One Strategy: Pick experienced people, and the only way to get experience is to have been part of some other administration at some other time.

Other Strategy: Go to Alaska and pick a maverick.

I suspect most of the people commenting negatively were not Obama supporters. Just because soemone worked in some capacity in the Clinton Administration does'nt make them a "Clinton" person.

Change comes from Obama and the strtegy and policy he sets, and others carry out. Not the other way around.
