WASHINGTON (CNN) - Just when we thought it would be hard to tell the faceless bureaucrats in the Obama transition office from other the 24,000 faceless bureaucrats who already work in this building, the Pentagon Pass office made it simple.
The new arrivals have been issued “Purple” badges, which make then stick out like a sore thumb.
Most pentagon badges are white. Contractors get pink.
And the press badges are blue.
Perhaps that will help the purple badge people know to shut up when they see someone with a blue badge.
The transition team –we’ve been told - is under strict order not to talk to news reporters.
Eight long years of SHAME are nearly over, and republicans can not bear to admit to the damage they have done to our country. Bush/Cheney, and everyone who voted for them shares the responsibility for the state of our nation. Republicans continue to be negative, sarcastic, and hypocritical in their efforts to deny the seriousness of their failures. I wouldn't want to admit to being party to this either.
He's not even in office yet and already making good decisions. Not talking to the press is a good decision.
Why is this newsworthy some of you ask? Because it shows the climate of change that "The One" speaks of...you remember that don't you? Of course you do, you all wanted change! And looks like you're gonna get it...oops, except for everyone appointed to high-level positions...that's just Clinton Part 2! The only thing that's changed is he's a black guy and it's 2008! Geez, you really should have just elected her! Change can be bad too, you know?!
Of course they're under strict orders not to talk to reporters...that's the Obama way, everyone has to be thoroughly screened before talking to anyone from his administration. After all, only those in agreement with him can get an interview! Everyone else, GET OUT!
I'm glad Obama is bringing in people who know's the ropes. What's left for him to deal with, he should be praised for at least trying to bring in experienced people. This no time for "Training Day." There's no way new, inexperienced people can fix the damage that has been done.
Now they can't talk to the press, then comes the "fairness doctrine" aka censorship so a government spoksman can give the party line or excuse. So long first amendment you were fun while you lasted. Then he goes on to the second amendment next. He won't stop till he gets to 22.
Next year sometime we will be finding out about the new secret service ,and the plans to take over more companies by "bailing them out".and the government will need to over see the operations to protect the governments "investment"for the good of the people. We will all be working for the government in some way or another.Sound good ?
