I like Huckabee compared to other Republicans. He's really a nice, down-to-earth kind of guy. But like Palin, he's just way too religious for me. Wait, that's an insult to him to compare him to her. He's definitely more qualified to be president than she is. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being religious, I just wouldn't want someone as president that would impose their faith on everyone. I could never vote for someone who would try to take away a woman's right to chose.

Mike Huckabee is one of the best Republicans we have. For all you people who are spouting hate before even taking the time to get to know him better, he is a funny, smart, hard-working ordained minister who supported McCain. But after Obama won, he stated that Obama was "his president" and that he could count on his support. Stop being such hateful people. I read these posts, and I am appalled at the meanness of people. How could anybody vote for this guy? He doesn't think that it's possible for there to be a separation of church of state! Of course not, he's a minister! He can get all the religious right votes that he wants, but I don't think the rest of America wants anything to do with him. I may be religious, but I don't believe in "fire and brimstone" style religion, in which one attempts to destroy all that don't agree with them and don't take every word of the Bible literally. Our country would regress to about 1900 if Huck was elected. There would be no future possibility of gay marriage, legal abortion, or anything that Huck sees as remotely controversial b/c of his religion. I'm so glad that this guy wasn't the candidate this year. I hope he and Palin, the other evangelical hillbilly, disappear into the dust pretty soon. Mitt Romney would be so much better than either of them as a candidate in 2012, and so much more knowledgeable, it isn't even funny.

Huckabee "specifically takes aim at Romney for shifting positions on key conservative issues". Isn't that what politicians do to get elected. The voters merely try to elect someone who is not going to go "Rambo" like Bush. While I don't agree with "giving " money to these corporations either, unemployment in Michigan is now at a staggering 9.3%! We need to make them loans with strings, so that the executives are part of the solution by making concessions of their own (how about a salary freeze for 6 months, and no bonuses until the loans are repaid, and if you leave the company before it's solvent, NO severance package, for starters.)
Then the government can help with restructuring the business model, retooling plants for fuel efficient vehicles, and making sure that the unions are on board and willing to concede some of the things that got Detroit into this mess (cradle to grave health care with NO employee premiums, for one.) I do not think we can let this industry just go under. How many of you have GM or Chrysler stock somewhere in your portfolio? What happens to its value if they declare Chapter 11?
The premise seems wrong, but on the other hand, this is our tax money saving our companies, which saves our jobs and homes....that is not unAmerican or un-Republican.

Uneducated (has a bachelor degree and Huck with two honorary doctorates. What a freebie without any work – not one doctorate; but two!!! What a waste!!! The institutions must be getting a piece of Huck-Pie from his show business.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are another pair with inadequate education. If Americans could voted for them (which were just waste in 2008), they might as well be with a better educated ones – Huckabee. At least Huckabee knows how to talk!!! He has a degree in religion and he even dropped out of the seminary.

If anyone wants to check the educational background of the Democrats and that of the Republicans, anyone will be able to see that the Democrats are far more educated from prestigious schools than their counterparts from Republican Party. looks like the Democrats don't buy the qualifications, they earn them.

That's tells us why the country suffers under Republican Party's leadership. Remember, Ronald Reagan was the biggest culprit for the bad economic position the US has today (in economy) and his surrogate Republicans are still thinking that Reagan was right. Do you get the message? Yes, ultimately it comes to education!!!
