I think it's ridiculous that anyone would use this poll to discount the Obama voters. TRUST ME, that poll is a reflection of ALL AMERICANS. Both republicans and democrats are completely ignorant of the issues and the politics that affect their lives. If you conduct the same poll with republicans (which I am sure it has been done) you will find similar results. The general population of this country are made up of ignorant people, and I am sure this is the case for nearly all the nations of this world.

I can't wait for another democratic controlled Capitol Hill. Last time We got NAFTA. Remember thats how all of our good paying manufacturing jobs left the country. HEY, maybe we can all share our unemployment checks as apart of the share the wealth program.

Memo to Max: When 99% of the African-American population votes for a black-looking man, that's called RACISM. That's what you would call it if 99% of other races voted for McCan. Admit it. I see alot of comments coming from the right that Obama voters are not informed. I'm not sure what you are basing that on, but it's incorrect. 58% of voters with postgraduate education voted Obama. 50% of college educated voters went for Obama. 52% of voters who make $200,000 or more voted for Obama. Those are not groups who tend to be "uninformed". Anyway, I've experienced 8 years of Republican control and seen our country driven into the ground by GOP policy. I voted Bush in 2000, but I'm not sure I'll ever vote Republican again. I voted Democrat in the last two elections because I did study the issues. If Obama can guide us through these rough times he will go down as one of the greatest presidents of all time. Good luck Obama, good luck Americans, and God bless the United States of America.

Well, for those of you who think that Republicans will sit back and let Democrats do whatever they want without opposition, you got another thing coming.

I think it is kinda hypocritical when, for 8 years EVERY democrat called Bush every name in the book, and treated him like a Pariah and then expect Republicans to sit back and revel at the Majesty of the MESSIAH Obama.

I live in St. Louis – I am not surprised by the outcome.

I was one of two people in my workplace who voted Obama. And get this, I work for a college. A COLLEGE. Educated individuals all over and I was one of only two people who had any sense.

I haven't considered myself an American for the last eight years, and I am ashamed of this backwards state.

Stupid comments from Ike like, "Sadly, most of those people are blacks," show just how dumb people can still be. Black people have been voting for Democrats for years. This one happened to be black, but now the reason for the vote must be because he's black, not because the Democrats have treated blacks with more respect than Republicans since the Reagan era. PS Missouri is a beautiful state (actually the whole U.S.A. is!!) there are plenty from both sides of the ticket who voted. The fact is that Obama won this round – and we need to quiet the "rage" and come together and back our new President-elect--its the thing to do and please folks, enjoy the simple things in life for a little while (take a breath!) it may be all some of us may have for now – but I can still smile and enjoy a cup of tea and a lesson of life from my grand-daughter (who is so much wiser than some of the hateful posts I see hear) – please clean it up for the children if nothing else.

FYI Ike:
You're OBVIOUSLY an expert on the political awareness of blacks (lol), so I'm sure I don't have to tell you that:

1) MOST people who voted for Obama were WHITE.
2) I'm black, and I, as well as many blacks already knew who Obama was well before the 2008 election. I started researching Obama and his political philosophy back in 2004 after he spoke at the Democratic National Convention.
3) The same percentage of blacks that voted for Obama was roughly the same % of blacks that voted for Kerry and Gore. Were those votes "racist" too?

Technically AND LEGALLY Maccain won in Missouri, but statistically it was a tie. The margin is little more than one tenth of one percent.
3632/2887992 = 0.0012 5
If there were a case like Florida 2000, I am sure there would have been a recount and investigation into fraud and other things.
But since Obam has won the race with a land slide, Missouri out come does not matter.

To put it quite simply has anyone seen the new poll out about Obama supporters? You should. It gives you a good glimpse into who voted for him and how uninformed they were. Over half those interviewed did not know that dems were in control of the house and senate. More than half did not know pelosi, reid or Barney Frank. It is mind boggling how ignorant they were but yet they voted. Good job to Missouri you did pick the right man.
