Continue to believe America is heading to the far right. Disregard the fact that the party presented a RINO and a Bible thumper and America left both and flocked to the most liberal Senator in Congress, so continue to believe you lost because you were not conservative enough, thats the ticket.. I'm not sure what CNN has against me, but I don't think I've EVER had a comment get past "moderation". This is probably a waste of time, but here goes... The Republicans just keep digging their hole deeper. Sessions is a prime example of the kind of extremists that have made independents like me vote more and more for Democrats. Against anything that would benefit the environment, against any practical solution to immigration problems, against embryonic stem cell research, against preserving individual liberties and common decency (by favoring the so-called Patriot Act, refusing to limit torture of detainees, opposing a woman's right to choose etc.) He's one of the angry mob of fire-breathing extremist Republicans that are destroying the party. Putting him in charge is going to prevent the party from making the changes they need to make to become mainstream again. Maybe the few remaining reasonable Republicans will split off and form another party dedicated to wise fiscal policy and preservation of individual liberties - you know, the things the Republican party used to stand for. I'd love that because then I'd have a viable option if (when) the Democrats get corrupted by power and start losing sight of what's good for the country in the long-term like the Republicans have.

A new beginning to me would be to start seperation from the likes of Rush, Sean and the religious right that hijacked your party and made it have such a lack of diversity that many young people have little interest in it. Also try to make your party look like what REAL America looks like, and from what I saw you all had in St. Paul this year that was FAR from the demographics of our nation. If you want to learn something from the Dems, learn that diversity does work.

RE-BUILD WHAT? That's the problem with these fools. They STILL don't get it. It's not about re-building. It's about "CLEANING HOUSE" and moving into the 21st Century!!! Here's where they can start...

Start inviting and including people of all ages, sexes, races, and religions, so that your meetings stop looking like a clan meeting and start looking like a realistic segment of today's society. Stop letting the bible dictate your policies and start listening to mainstream Americans. You preach you want less government, but the one place you want to put more government is in our bedrooms.

In short... get a clue. We're not living in the 50's anymore. Stop running your party based on empty moral values speeches and start providing actual solutions to our problems.

Besides, the daily messages coming from Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Levin, Bay & Pat Buchanan, and just yesterday Newt Gingrich on O'Reilly calling the prop 8 protesters Gay and Secular Facists!!!!! This is worst than Foot in Mouth Disease.

It seems everytime they open their mouth, something vile and hateful come out. They are so out-of-touch.
