Palin interview causes stir

An interview Gov. Sarah Palin did Thursday is causing a stir.

(CNN) - It’s the ultimate holiday photo-op for any governor: the yearly pardoning of a turkey to spare it from demise days before Thanksgiving.

But former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is causing a stir for an interview she gave after pardoning an Alaska turkey Thursday, during which one bird was being slaughtered in the background.

Palin appeared unaware of what was going on directly behind her, though she did seem to take a glance at the unfortunate event at one particular point during the interview.

"It's nice to support a local business and just participate in something that isn't so heavy handed politics that invites criticism," Palin said during the interview. "Certainly will probably invite criticism for even doing this too, but at least it was fun."

"I am always in charge of the turkey so I am where I need to be today to prepare for that," she also said.

Wow J you sound pathetic stop whining. If people want to debate on the issues what's the problem. Stop being so sensitive. Getting back to the story that is pretty funny and somehow something that would only happen to Palin lol.

Sarah Who? She KINDA looks familiar... wait, was she on a late night talk show recently??

    ::sarcasm off::

Seriously, Governor... your 15 minutes is over. Although I do so love how some folks on here are seemingly blaming President-Elect Obama for the declining economy when he hasn't even been sworn in yet... all the while lambasting the rest of us who continue to poke fun at someone who continues to put HERSELF in the most awkward of situations, despite the fact that her moment in the spotlight is long over.

Yes...haha...pretty funny. But, c'mon, these people have jobs to do. Do you really want to take away more jobs in this economy?

I find it funny that people support her. She could possibly be the dumbest politician next to Bush. I hope she runs in 4 yrs in 8 yrs and in 12yrs just for the comedy she brings to public office.

    Dear Sarah Palin,

The same American people who want to unify the country, are the same people who use their media inspired hate for you, to make fun of the way you speak. So much hypocrisy.

Interesting to hear, based on the sound bytes, how she is as a speaker without the McCain aides telling her what to say. If those two would have been elected, Government would have had to grow significantly just to hire all of the people whose job it was to tell her what to say and how to say it. Her vocabulary and enunciation of the English language is simply atrocious. Regardless of the scene behind her, she didn't plan that, she's going to have to spend a lot of time in the off season to prepare for her run in 2012. First thing this college educated person ought to do is take English 101.

Can this woman possibly doing anything that is more STOOPID than this (and yes, I spelled stupid with TWO "O"'s because she's just that dumb!)?

We've just had 8 years of STOOPID in the White House... now it's time to see what intelligent people will do in the next 4-8 years.

This lady is on the same level as Beavis and Butthead!!

    @ Justin

Nothing implied about it. She's borderline neanderthal and brought it all upon herself by being a nasty, lying, uninformed little fascist when running for our nations No. 2 leadership spot. Don't like it? Write her a letter and tell her to get out of public office and hide.

Poor choice of backdrop but most people will eat turkey on Thanksgiving. This is the reality of how it gets to the store. What bothers me is that she makes no sense when she speaks. This is not the first time. When she is not scripted she talks in circles and makes no sense.

This could happen to anyone, but it's not the sort of thing you want happening to you if you want to be president and 43% of the population already has a negative opinion of you.
