Palin interview causes stir

An interview Gov. Sarah Palin did Thursday is causing a stir.
An interview Gov. Sarah Palin did Thursday is causing a stir.

(CNN) - It’s the ultimate holiday photo-op for any governor: the yearly pardoning of a turkey to spare it from demise days before Thanksgiving.

But former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is causing a stir for an interview she gave after pardoning an Alaska turkey Thursday, during which one bird was being slaughtered in the background.

Palin appeared unaware of what was going on directly behind her, though she did seem to take a glance at the unfortunate event at one particular point during the interview.

"It's nice to support a local business and just participate in something that isn't so heavy handed politics that invites criticism," Palin said during the interview. "Certainly will probably invite criticism for even doing this too, but at least it was fun."

"I am always in charge of the turkey so I am where I need to be today to prepare for that," she also said.

It is so unreal how much this woman can be soooo out there. However, what was wrong with the camera man for shooting that spot with the turkey being killed in the background. Do they do this to this woman on purpose because she is that stupid and falls into their traps?

Nice Burberry scarf. She didn't get that at the Wasila Walmart. Maybe from Neiman Marcus courtesy of the RNC? I guess she's not giving that to charity.

The right wing cool-aid drinkers are probably wondering why u all are fussing so much, after all, that's how the turkey ends up at your table, we just don't see it. Are you guys reallly surprised. This woman field dresses a moose...she'd eat belluga whales if she could hunt it.
Why is the media pbsessed with her? She is like the Britney Spears of politics!

Actually, word on the street is that the turkey asked to be slaughtered ahead of schedule after being forced to listen to Palin give her interview.

"I am always in charge of the turkey..."

That's not a nice way for her to talk about Todd...

O.k, so I am not a Palin fan, but the woman was set up! LOL. I mean the crew could clearly see what was in thier shot, so I believe they taped it just so to make her look like a hypocritical airhead (given the fact that she'd just 'pardoned' a turkey). But, oh well, if the shoe fits...

Killing turkeys shouldn't be a spectator sport, but Palin thinks nothing of killing animals, even when she doesn't need them for food. This woman is the center of her own little universe, so how could she notice what was going on around her when a camera was pointing in her direction?.

Let's see what can I say. I don't like her but those things that we love to have on our Thanksgiving table called turkey comes from somewhere. I am never going to tofu turkey so I have to give her a breat on this one. That is what they do in the country people. No big deal. Eat Meat.

Enough with Palin! She is mindless, though extremely ambitious, and no longer relevant. We can do better than Palin as a role model for women, or example of personal/professional excellence. Let's move on!!

It appears to me that she either returned $4,000 worth of hair extensions since the campaign, or she's pulled her hair out in the meantime due to lack of attention. If it takes killing a turkey to get it back, WOW that says too much.

OMG!! Leave this woman alone, are you jealous? At least her husband didn't humiliate her in front of America and the rest of the world. (Idid not have a sexual relationship with that woman) Cmon, find something better to talk about.... Like when is Oprah going to get the nod to be on Obama's team, or Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and I'm sure OJ'S gonna get a pardon!!!! P.S. I'm ashamed to have voted for Obama when all you people are still dissing Sarah Palin,,,let it rest!

To the guy blaming President Elect Obama for the economy: Did memory fail you or did you neglect to mention that the economy being a mess before the election? Be a good American and wish your president well BEFORE he takes office ..Blame him if he messes up AFTER he’s in there but to preemptively put this on him is not very smart. God Bless President-Elect Obama, God Bless America!

By far the best interview she's given! I was so distracted with the turkey beheading that I didn't hear a word she said.

Democrats are not pansies, believe it or not, we eat meat like everyone else. Way to generalize millions of people into a single category, Clint.

Oh wow! What breaking news. GET OVER IT PEOPLE! CNN and all its cult followers are in the process of moving Palin into Bush's spot as the scapegoat/punching bag for all of the world's problems. So easy to just blame blame blame. I am sure there are many other important things CNN could have reported on. Funny you never threw Biden under the bus for all the times he stuck his foot in his mouth. Be ready for the USA to get "Tested" in six months of Obama taking office. Their is absolutely no credibility in the media anymore, NONE!
