Palin interview causes stir

An interview Gov. Sarah Palin did Thursday is causing a stir.
An interview Gov. Sarah Palin did Thursday is causing a stir.

(CNN) - It’s the ultimate holiday photo-op for any governor: the yearly pardoning of a turkey to spare it from demise days before Thanksgiving.

But former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin is causing a stir for an interview she gave after pardoning an Alaska turkey Thursday, during which one bird was being slaughtered in the background.

Palin appeared unaware of what was going on directly behind her, though she did seem to take a glance at the unfortunate event at one particular point during the interview.

"It's nice to support a local business and just participate in something that isn't so heavy handed politics that invites criticism," Palin said during the interview. "Certainly will probably invite criticism for even doing this too, but at least it was fun."

"I am always in charge of the turkey so I am where I need to be today to prepare for that," she also said.

Palin just wasnt getting in the news – the liberal news that is because no one watches fair and balanced unless you are a repub. So she goes for this photo op with something that she knows will get on cnn and such. She is a PATHETIC person. And i dont care if turkeys are being killed before thanksgiving, duh does someone think we only eat turkeys that have died from natural causes?

Jeebus. When is this woman's 15 minutes going to be up?

Talk about a photo op going awry. What an idiot. Just when I thought Sarah Palin couldn't top her previous darwin moment, she magically redeems herself with another. Grand standing at it's finest.

Just go the hell away already. Like another poster said, at least she wasn't shooting from the helicopter.

Can both the tv people and her staff be so stupid as to not watch what was going on in the background?

Palin haters have their panties all bunched up...again. Its good to know a potential CINC understands the natural AND man-made brutality in this world. Life isn't all white wine and lattes. Most liberals couldn't last a week outside of their urban enclaves where undocumented workers clean their toilets, cook their meals, and pick up their dog doo. I was a once proud liberal Democrat. Pelosi, Reid, and Teddy K. showed me the error of my ways. I've evolved into a strong, firm libertarian. Thank God, Barack is showing his true self and you liberal pantywaists are all a twitter. He's earned my vote in 2012 even before he's inaugurated for his first term. At least liberals fun to laugh at, especially when they're so full of themselves.

    Not everyone like Tofurkey.
Palin may have a hands-on demo showing us how to de-skin a moose on "Bizarre Food w/ Palin" very soon!

Don't they usually pardon the turkey some place else other than the slaughter house? I am sure this will hit the SNL list on Saturday!

Which is worse: (1)Palin talking while a turkey (of which or whom she may or may not have been aware) was being decapitated behind her; or (2) the decision of the press not only to include the turkey in the video angle used, but also to air the video and then inviting bloggers to somehow use the 'head chop' shot as use, in a subtle, backhanded way, for fodder for again casting an unfavorable light upon the Governor of Alaska? Quite frankly, the whole thing is just simply childish!

Unaware my butt! She knew what she was doing and that was deliberately trying to provoke the animal rights crowd and pander to her right-wing nut cases. That woman is trailer trash and quite sick.

Boy can she talk... it's a lot more refreshing to here her now that she's just representing Alaska again and no longer haunting my dreams as a potential VP.

But I'll say it, good interview. I was entertained and I see nothing wrong with that background. If you can't watch it die, don't eat it.

Yes we all know where food comes from. We also know how babies are born but they don't show that on national TV. The reason why is because there are things that are inapporiate to show even though the reality is that these things happen. The word everyone is lookking for here is called judgement.

What's new that Palin is clueless to what is going on around her. Can you imagine the flunkies that would be part of the transition team if the losers somehow won the election. We have a new President worthy of the office, our nation understood the importance of a White House that has an academic, intellectual, and emotion powerhouse. We could have two academic failures who were willing to continue claims that Iraq was worthy of American blood...and money. We see the Treasury printing more pale green backs, but American blood has got to stay in the circulatory system to succeed. Arizona...do yourselves a favor, and flush McCain, he isn't worthy of the office.

Dick Cavett perfectly described Sara Palin's poor grasp of diction, "She speaks like someone with no first language".

I honesty wish she'd just fall off the face of the earth, but her lack of awareness and tack in this instance is just a reminder of how HAPPY I am that this woman is very, very far away from the White House. What an idiot.

Each state is different. Alaska is a different culture. Leave Palin alone. Critics are just jealous of her looks and physique.

Sorry folks but she is funny, she knew walking in how the game is played and you do not quite "Cold turkey". The neo's have got to get over covering for her for her every time someone ruffles their feathers. S he simply was not qualified, and when she ran laid egg after egg in her interviews. She probably never will be much more then some hen that got 15 minutes of fame, unless her flock is so foolish as to make her TIC Turkey in Charge.. She simply proves it time after time one not be a wild turkey to fly off in eractiv manner, more so when interviewed. She got the job based on some spin on oil and turkey do not mix. This thing was simply another Fowl up, by her. She ran for office, so is public target and no closed season on her. This interview simply goes with the turf or even the permafrost as had she had to buy the publicity, she'd have found it would be more then "chicken feed" ot pay for it. .. So be careful of what you say, she lives not to far from Santa's home, and could probably turkey trot right up there and bad mouth you, In closing Gobble Gobble Gobble, for now she is the national bird.. of humor. . .
