Although I am a proud Democrat, I don;t like the thought of one party rule.

So I hope the Republicans win this one.

Our Democrat led Congress has done a terrible job these last two years, so I am not that thrilled about giving them complete and total rule over the Senate.

A balance of power would be better for us.

I hope they get Martin elected. I'm still worried about the "Blue Dog" Democrats, though. Last election cycle the Dems broadened their umbrella unrealistically wide in a desperate attempt to add Dems to Congress. The so called "Blue Dogs" are pretty conservative and have a lot more in common with the Know Nothing Party that's on it's bumbling way out. Some were actually death bed conversions to the Dem party and are in fact Republicans in sheep's clothing... All these packages depend on getting every Blue Dog vote. Good luck.

The best thing Obama can do is to use "quiet power" and mobilize the ground army of Georgia supporters to turn out the vote once again.

Democrats ... one of the 1st pieces of legislation you should push when Obama is president is to REQUIRE ALL STATES to support early voting on TWO weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) before November. This will help end the tryanny of "special interests".

I am very concerned about the "auto industry buyout." Why are they just dealing with the top officials....one could just see the unionbreaking and benefit breaking dollarsigns flashing in their eyes as the corporate management sat there without a plan. It is going to take everyone to get this mess moving towards a solution that will benefit America. ALL THE PLAYERS NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO THE TABLE. But I believe that "We can do it!" if everyone works together, and yes there has to be retooling and restructuring, but let's move in some more players and get this thing rolling. The corporate tops have cleverly offshored for years....and we have bought into the cheaper "stuff" with the dollars that are not now coming in and/or ofset by poor labor conditions. Soon it may be our turn to be the nation of cheap labor....seems to be cycling the world. And, hello, is anyone thinking how we will be able to control the pollution that will continue to pour out on the highways and byways if we allow all our autos to be produced elsewhere....

The more Dems we have, the better chance of improving the status of changes across the board. Repubs have had control for way too long, and look what they have done with it! It's time to let the Dems clean up the mess.... again.... if this were the first time, it might be different. But this has happened over and over again through the history of this country. I can't for the life of me, see why this country cannot seem to realize that the Republican party looks out for only one segment of the population.... the wealthy. All through the 20th century that has been the case! Wake up, America, we are not ALL wealthy. We need a government that realizes that fact! We need politicians that who represent ALL of US, not the few. We need honesty in politics, not lies and attacks with no basis. Why should we continue to accept what we witnessed in the last campaign by the Republicans? I think that Barack Obama signals an end to those kind of politics, because We, the People, will no longer accept it!

As well, instead of our big business moving to places where they can get rich quicker off the broken backs of the destitute in 3rd world countries; bring up the economy of those countries! Let us level the playing field all over the world! Then we will have a thriving global economy! The rich will be plenty rich enough, and the average citizen of the world can make a decent living as well! When the world is a place where all can work and earn an honest wage for their labor, then we will have Peace on Earth.

How can a few people continue to use and abuse their fellow human beings, and most of these claim to be children of God. Obama offers a new future for the U.S. as well as the rest of the world, I pray the world opens their arms and accepts this new concept. Then we will know Peace on Earth at last.

The trade agreement needs to be renegotiated. People that want to put business in other countries should put something there that they can use and pay their employees a wage that they can afford to buy their products. We would not be polluting our oceans by all this back and forth stuff. Instead of giving all this welfare to countries. We could give them freeze dried foods. tractors and other thing< We could even use some of our car manufacturing to build tractors and as they prosper they could pay back for what ever we give them. Remember when people in other countries loved us for the Hershey candy Bar. We give all this welfare to other countries and the wealthy prosper. Look at Arafat before he died. He was one of the ten richest men overseas. Look how much we gave Iraq. when Saddam was in office. Did they pay anything back. Yet he was one of the 10 richest men overseas. Tell you politicians enough is enough.
