Pro-Palin 'thank you' ads hit the airwaves

A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.
A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.

(CNN) - Election Day was three weeks ago, but political ads praising former Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin are still hitting the airwaves.

The Our Country Deserves Better PAC has begun running spots in Alaska - two 60-second ads, and two 30-second versions — that pay tribute to Palin, with plans to expand the ad buy to the rest of the country sometime this week.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner," chief strategist Sal Russo said in a statement. "I worked with President Ronald Reagan since his first days in the California Governor’s Office, and I can tell you that I see so many similarities between President Reagan and Governor Palin."

The 60-second Thanksgiving-themed spot — which comes days after footage of a Palin interview on a turkey farm hit the airwaves — also points to the Alaska governor's fondness for moose chili as a turkey alternative.

The PAC - which sponsored the "Stop Obama Now" bus tour during the campaign season - said it plans to spend at least $50,000 airing the ads in Alaska. It has not yet released details of the ad buy on national broadcast and cable networks.

Nothing says fiscal conservatism like running a $50,000 "Thank You" ad.

That is so cool. For all of you who are shaking their heads and pounding the keyboard, this ones for you. The Governments putting together an elite team of brains to conquer all our problems. Except the elite are who got us here. Elite wall streeters, elite bankers, elite media moguls, not to say anything about the backers of the elites running washington as lobbyists, kitchen cabinets, and mobsters from all around the world. I simply give more credence to a moose hunting, strong willed, in your face, mother of 5, who has only the interest of America, the family, on her heart, than anyone who calls themselves professional or experienced at this time in our countries history. Sarah's you, and obviously you have something to say! Thank you Sarah.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner"

Really? I suppose the positive and uplifting manner were the rallies she attended that included race baiting and fear mongering? This woman was part of one of the most insulting campaigns in American political history. Surely the Republicans can't be serious about her in 2012. With the multitude of problems the country is facing we need the brightest people possible, not someone who belongs on American Idol.

Sarah Palin is a dimwit and an idiot. She is also the center of an ethic scandal. Let the Republican drool over themselves about her. If she is the best they could do for a VP candidate, that goes to show you how pathetic and desparate they really are.

If their really serious these folks need help. Sarah was the best thing that happened to Obama. McCain choosing her helped Obama win the election. I can't believe three weeks later their still crying over this chick. Why did the PAC not have a " Thanks for ruining your campaign with a poor choice in a runningmate " commerical for John McCain.
People get a grip... Ronald Regan would have told McCain he was an idiot for chosing an idiot for the second highest office in America. The only thing she had in common with Regan is that they are both Repulican's.

Big questions. Did they have to pay for ALL those people to be in the ad? And were the turkeys used in the ads the same as those being slaughtered behind Palin while she talked about how "gruesome" politics can be. HA!
