Pro-Palin 'thank you' ads hit the airwaves

A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.
A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.

(CNN) - Election Day was three weeks ago, but political ads praising former Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin are still hitting the airwaves.

The Our Country Deserves Better PAC has begun running spots in Alaska - two 60-second ads, and two 30-second versions — that pay tribute to Palin, with plans to expand the ad buy to the rest of the country sometime this week.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner," chief strategist Sal Russo said in a statement. "I worked with President Ronald Reagan since his first days in the California Governor’s Office, and I can tell you that I see so many similarities between President Reagan and Governor Palin."

The 60-second Thanksgiving-themed spot — which comes days after footage of a Palin interview on a turkey farm hit the airwaves — also points to the Alaska governor's fondness for moose chili as a turkey alternative.

The PAC - which sponsored the "Stop Obama Now" bus tour during the campaign season - said it plans to spend at least $50,000 airing the ads in Alaska. It has not yet released details of the ad buy on national broadcast and cable networks.

For those people "inspired" by Sarah Palin need I remind them to pls. watch the Katie Couric interview, and remind you of her comments that Barack Obama "palled around with terrorists" are thoughtless, vindictive comments that failed to persuade voters to support her. Ronald Reagan was able to work with Democrats to get something done. Sarah Palin has demonstrated no such leadership skills and her foreign policy knowledge is still what it was during the election. Why did her post election popularity in Alaska DECLINE? Reagan speechwriter, Peggy Noonan, criticized Palin throughout the campaign as divisive and unexperienced. Sarah Palin will always have a following of loyal supporters but remember..... the greatest predictor of what a person will do in the future is to look at what they've done in the past.

I could think of a better use for the money the are spending on these ads. How about some education for potential unwed mothers about birth control.

We have an economic crisis with real folks staring at foreclosures, lost jobs, and trying to find ways to keep their heads above water on their financial stability. I couldn't give two cents on who wants to run in 2012, let alone Sarah Palin. And if she's anything like some people claim, she wouldn't care either. She would be more interested in helping those in need than worry about running infomercials to fill up coffers for the media. You people gotta be kidding me with your priorities.

Glad so many democrats like to hang out here waiting to attack anything written about any Republican. Need to go after Peolsi and Reid, they are evil as well. Let me remind you that Governor Clinton failed after his first term as Governor and went on to become a hero to everyone. Palin was just to new, not experienced enough, give her time just as I'll let Obama and the dem controlled congress forced their will upon me.

With the current state the economy is in, you would think the PAC would donate to the hardest hit people instead if running a series of political ads for Sarah... There is NO national office she can run for for another four years so spare us the rhetoric and do some good with the cash!!!!

Oh Come On, Can't we put a STOP sign there?

It has taken quite a while to recover from the huge damage Palin had caused, and now somebody is telling me that we have to go back for the headache again?

Sarah Palin was an incompetent idiot! She made it known by her lack of common knowledge and inability to answer questions in a coherent way. Anyone who thinks she could have been an excellent president or vice president is just as much an idiot! Why is she still being talked about? leave her alone and let her go back to moose hunting and pretending that she knows what's going on!

What a joke these folks are. Seems like a money grabbing scam at it's best with some losers and outdated minds put on this site to mislead Americans.
As far as comparing Palin to Reagan, not a chance. She is a creepy wing nut who needs to go back to Alaska and give birth to a few more kids and kill a few more animals to keep herself occupied, oh and to make her husband rich.
The more right wing you go the more liars, liars and more Liars you see! Enough said.

No kidding. Do we really have to perpetuate the idea that we are all a bunch of idiot inbred hicks who vote for people who come from the "Pro-America" parts of this country?

I guess even ignorant right-wing extremists need representation too. This is America after all.

Why??? Why would anyone be spending tens of thousands of dollars promoting Palin on TV ads 3 weeks after the election is over??

Some people have way too much time and money on their hands. And, obviously no common sense!

Very, very, very tired of her. Time to go away, study hard on domestic and foreign issues and then reinvent herself to come back in 2010 to see if we still care.

    Don't think we will!!
