Pro-Palin 'thank you' ads hit the airwaves

A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.
A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.

(CNN) - Election Day was three weeks ago, but political ads praising former Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin are still hitting the airwaves.

The Our Country Deserves Better PAC has begun running spots in Alaska - two 60-second ads, and two 30-second versions — that pay tribute to Palin, with plans to expand the ad buy to the rest of the country sometime this week.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner," chief strategist Sal Russo said in a statement. "I worked with President Ronald Reagan since his first days in the California Governor’s Office, and I can tell you that I see so many similarities between President Reagan and Governor Palin."

The 60-second Thanksgiving-themed spot — which comes days after footage of a Palin interview on a turkey farm hit the airwaves — also points to the Alaska governor's fondness for moose chili as a turkey alternative.

The PAC - which sponsored the "Stop Obama Now" bus tour during the campaign season - said it plans to spend at least $50,000 airing the ads in Alaska. It has not yet released details of the ad buy on national broadcast and cable networks.

Why is she even getting headlines still? We have a president, and we have a president-elect. She lost...time for her to please stop being covered by the news, and go away to Alaska again. She's an airhead, and CNN should have better things to do than cover this hard-core right-wing nutjob. This is exactly why I don't listen to FoxNews...right-wing smeg like this. Please CNN, for the sake of all that is newsworthy, stop covering anything Sarah Palin related. Unless it's to report that she got eaten by a polar bear. That would make me laugh. Teehee. :)

They have to be kidding. Why waste Republican Brand Equity on Palin? What part of the message voters delivered to McCain and the Republicans on Nov 4 did they miss? If Republicans want to get back in power in 2012 it will not be with Palin.

What happened to the conservatives thinking it's horrible to criticize the President at a time of war? I mean, I don't think it is horrible to criticize elected officials, but their hypocrisy is showing, innit?

Before the election, they practically accused anyone saying Bush was not serving us well of treason, and now they're saying America "deserves better" than the President-elect, essentially taking out ads complaining about the election result.

America does deserve better- than what we have now! We proved it by electing someone better.

The ads are disgusting and pathetic.

You know, liberals do not hate Sarah Palin – they make fun of her in not very nice ways, but they don't really hate her. The people who really hate her are normal Republicans who have seen their beloved GOP turned into a hate-mongering clown show.

OMG Palin needs to just go away – far away. Like Alaska. And she needs to stay there and not bother the rest of the country.

Here's a better idea... Take that $50,000 and use it to feed our starving children this holiday season, or help people out who just lost their job due to this economic crisis, or donate to a charity that will actually HELP people. There are TONS of other places that money can go where it can be more useful.

    Really?
People are going without food and heat in this country, and this is how they spend $50k? That sums up Palin for me.

Dear JM: My name is Nan Hahn. I'm 62 years old. I'm a retired professional singer and a published poet with a college degree.

Sarah Palin is a waste of human flesh! Her ambition is topped only by her inability and unwillingness to show respect towards ALL of the citizens of the United States of America!

If you love her so much, move to Alaska and you can kiss her feet!

Me? I have better things to do than listen to that bubblehead!

You people need to stop your "afraid of sarah" nonsense. No one is afraid of her. She is just dumb and unqualified. She is not scary. Smart people do not want dumb people making decsions for them. Its really pretty simple. Why would anyone be afraid of some stupid hockey mom? Enough already with the scared thing.

    To LBJ,

It don't matter the amount you give to charity as a individual as long as you give. It is always some one more fortunate then the other who can give more. Some people might not be able to give at all. You don't know people circumtances. You need to wake up and smell the coffee dude!!

Gee, "positive and uplifting" must be the new description of accusing someone of being a terrorist. The extreme right wingers will support Palin no matter how much of a dunce she is, as long as she espouses their "let's force everyone to live by our standards" philosophy.

I wonder if Palin ever went to a KKK rally. How can anyone even suggest that we consider this hate spewing, geography deficiency, zealot in the same sentence with reasonable people. The Republican party has no future for a long, long time thanks to their cast of superstars..George W ("people and fish can co-exist"), Cheyney (Haliburton Hillbilly), McCain (Nuke 'em John), and Sweet Sara (We'll burn you at the stake if you're not a radical fundamentalist). As a life long Republican, I'm proud to say that I'm now a Democrat...and proud of it

P.S> Was David Dukes a Repubican????? Sounds like Sara's kind of guy
