Pro-Palin 'thank you' ads hit the airwaves

A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.
A pro-Palin ad campaign hits the airwaves this week.

(CNN) - Election Day was three weeks ago, but political ads praising former Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin are still hitting the airwaves.

The Our Country Deserves Better PAC has begun running spots in Alaska - two 60-second ads, and two 30-second versions — that pay tribute to Palin, with plans to expand the ad buy to the rest of the country sometime this week.

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner," chief strategist Sal Russo said in a statement. "I worked with President Ronald Reagan since his first days in the California Governor’s Office, and I can tell you that I see so many similarities between President Reagan and Governor Palin."

The 60-second Thanksgiving-themed spot — which comes days after footage of a Palin interview on a turkey farm hit the airwaves — also points to the Alaska governor's fondness for moose chili as a turkey alternative.

The PAC - which sponsored the "Stop Obama Now" bus tour during the campaign season - said it plans to spend at least $50,000 airing the ads in Alaska. It has not yet released details of the ad buy on national broadcast and cable networks.

Go Sarah! Why are you so afraid of a REAL woman? Don't you get it that the economic downturn is due to FEAR of Obama? Why invest if you don't know his plans?...Obamabots GET A CLUE! Sarah Palin for 2012!

I would recomment to ALL GOP members to keep it on a low for now. I haven't said this for Conservatives but is good that we are in a low and if you wanna have a chnace in 2012, keep it that way because trust me, when "contracts" are made, is NOT good for business...

Just hire me GOP for crying out loud, I'll let you know what you need to do but boy, you need to work hard...real hard! And by the way, all I have to tell you is "I told you so"...I got more cred now than I ever had in high school and the hood combined, LOL!!

Yes, thank you, Sarah Palin, for helping put Barrack over the top (in a major way). Now, our country can move forward again. Oh, please run in 2012. This will ensure four more years of progress.

I guess when your intelligence is below Palin's, you 'could' look up to her.

An insult to compare her to Reagan; his positive outlook was more like Obama's.

Palin who? You mean the woman who used religious rhetoric and extremist views to elicit threats against the government of the United States?
Thought she went to join the other fundamentalist jihadists.

This inarticulate woman has a journalism degree!!!! She cannot make a simple statement, but rather engages in these interminable diatribes without punctuation. I have never been a big Reagan fan, but to compare her in any way with him likely has him spinning in his grave, and may well contribute to Nancy's demise. Please stop! This joke is no longer funny.

Stop torturing us by keeping this woman in the news. Is everybody insane?!?!? I don't want to see any of this here in Florida, by golly gee whiz. Just make Palin go away. She was a disgrace to McCain and she helped him lose the election. Enough said.

Hang in there Sarah, a lot of Americans want to see run in 4 yrs, that is if we still have a county that elects it's officials by voting. Just keep in mind you don't have to make promise's that you are expected to keep anyway, just promise anything trhat the moronic public wants to hear, that's the way NObama got elected, then like he is now doing you recant, no harm done!!

I honestly thought the ads were satirical, until I read the article. Really, these should be found in the pages of The Onion, not on television.

They have the right. We now see that the networks are admitting that the biased the news toward obama and posted negative tainted information against Palin and McCain.

And it didn't start there. They fell all over themselves to smear Hillary so the empty suit and present voter would win the nod.

Why is she still in the news? Go away Sarah. I'm tired of hearing anything about you. Please go be a hockey mom from Alaska and be a much needed mother to your underage pregnant daughter. How does that work out for ya?

You lefties who are suggesting that they should be giving the money to charities are hilarious. Like my good liberal friend who is always screaming about how the Republicans screw the poor, most of you probably give nothing to charity. When I confronted my liberal friend with just how much he gave to charity in 2007, it was laughable. Less than $500! And he is in the highest tax bracket

Arthur C. Brooks, Professor of Economics at Syracuse University did the definitive study of charitable giving and the statistics didn't come as any real surprise. Conservatives gave to charities an average of 30% more across all income brackets than did liberals. Wow, what a surprise!

You lefties never walk your talk. Yeah, you're always for giving as long as it's tax payer dollars, but when it comes to giving to charities personally, you fail miserably.

So quit your whining about Sarah Palin and folks who want to support her and step up to the plate and do something personally for a change like giving your OWN money to help others. And just in case you ask, I donated over 30K of my income in real dollars to charities in the last year. How about you lefties? (And BTW, due to the nature of the donations, approx. $25K of the donations weren't tax deductible, so don't even think about slinging that typical lefty mud.)

"Governor Palin inspired millions of Americans by fighting for common sense conservative principles in a positive and uplifting manner."

Wow, these people must be living on another planet. Positive and uplifting? She was flinging more dirt in this campaign than McCain, Obama, and Biden COMBINED. Whether you wanted to vote for her or not, you have to be delusional to think that she ran a "positive and uplifting" campaign. She was divisive, spiteful, and hateful. She is also a narrow-minded simpleton.

What amazes me MOST is that in THIS economy, they're wasting money on ads when families can't even afford a meager Thanksgiving meal. Is Palin a Christian like she claims? Maybe she should encourage them to use that cash to feed the poor. Then, I might have at least a TINY shred of respect for her.

McCain created a monster when he gave that conniving witch national exposure. The only bigger fools are the ones who waste their money promoting her three weeks after the election. What a bunch of sore losers!

And for all the people insulting this woman's brain capacity, what have you ever accomplished? You are the first one's to degrade this self made woman who became a Governor before the age of 44. What have you ever done besides sit here and hate? If you actually had accomplishments of you own, you wouldn't feel so threatened by her. If you're going to put Gov. Palin down, I suggest you stop hiding behind your made up screen names and stand behind your identity, age, education and accomplishments. Otherwise shut up you cowards.

$50,000.00 in ads for no good reason? That does not sound like the fiscally conservative party I used to know. They are all just bible nuts now. The election is over people, GET OVER IT

It's a plot by the television manufacturers. After we throw bricks at our TV's we'll have to buy new ones.
I bet they're paid for by Palin.

If they see similarities between Reagan and this lady, perceptions of Reagan have really diminished.

I mean, Reagan was a jerk, too, but it's an insult even to him to be compared to Palin.
