Guys, we already have 58 seats. The Repubs have 42. Even if we lose Georgia (since it's a south state, lots of uneducated rednecks) and lose Minnesota (I'm not sure how this'll end), we still have more seats. The repubs have hardly any chance to screw our country anymore than they've been doing for the last 8 years.

Interesting, all of these liberal Palin-bashers, saying she is "unqualified" as a CEO of a state, when we have a person who has somehow been elected POTUS without haven't actually DONE ANYTHING in his life.

Taught Constitutional Law and the University of Chicago. Was a three term state Senator from Illinois. A United States Senator. Married his college sweetheart and together they have two wonderful girls. And, oh yeah, got elected as the first African American President in our nations history. I would stipulate that is WAY MORE than hasn't "done anything in his life".....

Why stop with Sarah-Bring in to Georgia, also Joe the Plumber;
how about (stepford wife) Cindy McCain–and say , Dan Quayle too (to make Sarah appear more fluent)..AND, have the blithering idiot carry a headless turkey instead of her baby....
So far her apparent popularity did not lead to votes alloweing McCain to win Nationally...–maybe, like me, people just want to look at her and are fascinated at her lack of comprehension at what is going on around her-
It is also facinating how Gingrich and Huckabee are afraid take her on and say it for what it is-two intelligent Republicans who generate some respect in their own way, acting like scared kittens.

Palin is most likely doing this for her own self promotion than as a favor for Chambilss. There are alot of evangelicals in Georgia, and if she manages to rally large crowds several weeks after the election it would send a pretty strong message to the GOP that she isn't going away.

I'm amazed by the endorsements by both sides. I'll bet you none of these endorsers even know the candidates they're endorsing. They're both just endorsing their party, period. We love palin in Alaska.. did I forget to mention that Alaska does not have the same housing crisis, we don't pay income tax to support government spending and we are not inline with other states like California to ask for federal free money to support a bankrupt state government. Don't blame Bush because you ran down to the bank and bought a house you could not afford, refinanced on that good deal to buy that fancy new car, 72 inch flat screen. That is the problem with freedom when we make our own choice and it is wrong we like to blame someone else and run to government give-aways.. And we got our extra 1200 dollar check from our Alaska government because they had extra money and every day citizens could use help with the cost of fuel. Yes send her back please.. Alaska has one of the healthiest economies in the entire USA..

I agreed wholeheartedly with the general concensus here regarding Palin and her abilities-or rather lack thereof. Then, last week, a friend sent me a link to a 30 minute interview she did in July with Investor's Business Dailey. I couldn't believe (except for that accent) I was listening to the same woman we saw running for VP. She actually articulated precise, considered responses to some difficult questions like a Rhodes scholar. My friend had been shocked by this, as was I. Now I'm wondering if THIS is the real Palin, and if so, what did the geniuses at the McCain campaign do with her?

Thanks Sarah for coming to Georgia. I live in Georgia and I know that we do not want Martin. Democrats fear you just as they did when you made that great speech at the convention. They can't say enough bad things about you. If you didn't matter, they would not bother. What concerns me is why women condem you. You are a smart person. You combine work with your family. You believe in life, but do not condemn anyone on their beliefs. I have to come to the conclusion that many that condemn you have made judgements that they regret and want to take it out on you. My gracious, there are some angry orphaned people on here! I'm figuring you all must be orphans, because if you had mothers, I am sure they would have taught you something about being graceful winners.
For those of you who remind us all that Palin crashed McCain's effort, even if someone concedes that is the case, the effort didn't crash in Georgia. Palin may very well help in that state.
And for those of you who remind us that Ferraro was the first female VP candidate, technically, that is true, however, Palin was the first one to be selected by a Presidential nominee who thought he had a chance of winning. Mondale knew he had no chance against Regagn-Bush. Mondale could have selected me, or Mother Teresa, or Amy Winehouse (had she been alive) and had the same results: lucky to capture his own home state in the electoral college.

Palin is only popular with the 20% of America that calls itself the "Christian base of the Republican party". This base is made up of bigots, racist, and people who believe that if you are not of "my" faith then you should be expelled from America. These are the same people who try to impose their christian beliefs on others. Those religious terrorist like J.Dobson, P. Robertson and the late J. Fallwell are the ones who need to be locked up for the betterment of America.

As long as the GOP allows these folks into the party it will remain an afterthought.
