(CNN) - Minnesota's Canvassing Board voted unanimously to reject Franken's request to include thousands of absentee ballots that are not included in the recount in the Minnesota senate race between the Democratic challenger and Republican incumbent Norm Coleman.
The Canvassing Board, which oversees the recount, stressed during a hearing today, that they weren't rejecting the merits made by Franken's attorneys. The panel also indicated that the fight over the exclusion of the absentee ballots from the recount will most likely land in court. Some 12,000 absentee ballots were rejected from the initial vote count because of technicalities and errors.
Franken's campaign argued that the ballots were wrongly rejected. Coleman's team said the board doesn't have the authority to include the disputed ballots in the recount.

It is pathetic that people still can't figure out how to vote correctly after all this time. They can't push a button, or check a box, or punch a hole in paper without screwing it up?
How do these people fill out their kid's student loan applications, or permission slips for high school, or their taxes? If you can't vote correctly, your vote doesn't count. It's not voter supression or voter theft. It's voter stupidity.
Either people need to be responsible enough to make sure they understand how to vote, what they are voting for, and when they need to vote: or they can just be sheep and bleet on the message boards about how sad and pathetic they are that they are too stupid to comprehend a simple civic duty.

Whether these ballots are for Coleman or Franken, it is stupid to reject them. After all, a person's vote no matter what should be counted. What's the sense of voting if a judge or a counter can say...I'[m not going to count your vote. COUNT THE DARN VOTES. GET ON WITH THE RE-COUNT.

makes no difference to me...it is the principal of counting every vote.
I can't imagine why anybody would be pushing for Norm Coleman to win, much less be proud of him. But then again, wingers and Rethugs are proud of weird things... Coleman isn't very honest, he doesn't really care much about the people he claims to represent, and he's not the best and brightest. By those lights, I guess he's a great GOPper, but he's not what MN needs right now.
I love how the dems are trying to say Coleman is trying to steal the election. I see it as the other way around. I do not want bogus votes counted. If you did not get them in on time or filled the ballot out wrong, then so be it. They should not count. I love how people are trying to determine voter intent. If the box is filled in, count it. If it is not do not count it. Pretty easy. If there were a special vote, Norm would win hands down. Al had the benefit of many Obama supporters blindly voting for him. Take Obama out of the picture, Norm would win by a landslide. I have not talked to anyone that voted for Al.

Bruce, you are making way too much sense for the neo-tards to understand. They had a slim lead before the re-count, so they don't want a re-count at all. People's voting rights don't matter to them. Counting ANY more votes can only put their candidate at risk, and they'd much rather hold on to one of the few [R] senate seats they have left, than to bother with such a minor thing as the people's right to vote. Thus, their little minds work furiously to deduce that if you are for a re-count, or counting new ballots, you MUST be for Frankin.
They supported the Bush lawyers in 2000, who moved for a full re-count, for the VERY reason that they knew that re-count wouldn't be allowed to happen. And now that this Minn. re-count is happening they will do their best not to allow any new votes to be certified. They stand firmly with the 2000 supreme court that their ilk appointed: the people have no standing to worry about their own voting rights. The posters who labeled this as "un-American" are dead on target.
