(CNN) - The Obama Transition team's chief national security spokesperson, Brooke Anderson, released a statement late Wednesday reacting to the attacks in Mumbai, India:
"President-Elect Obama strongly condemns today's terrorist attacks in Mumbai, and his thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the people of India. These coordinated attacks on innocent civilians demonstrate the grave and urgent threat of terrorism. The United States must continue to strengthen our partnerships with India and nations around the world to root out and destroy terrorist networks. We stand with the people of India, whose democracy will prove far more resilient than the hateful ideology that led to these attacks.”

What was it Joe said,,,, Obama would be tested?
Let the tesitng begin.
Created anarchy will fuel the need for a world leader.
Amen Mr. President! A new day is dawning!
Amen Mr. President!
I believe that the current administration has "not really" kept us from being attacked again. The attacks on the world trade center were 12 years apart and it has only been 7 years since they fell. It will take time for the uncivilized people who want to destroy America to come up with another plan. They were not thinking past 9/11. Just give them time, they are most likely to not give up. I pray we never get hit again, but, I'm still not convinced the current administration has "really" been able to stop something that is probably in the making of the minds of evil...
Hey bush, this is your opportunity to bomb Iran before they run you out of town.
ust another result of the bad business on the bush administration,,, ill be so glad when hes out and obama is in, and came do his job,,, he has great plans,,,
Does it seems funny that everyone wants Obama's input on today's issues and not the current administration. Gee, I wonder what Bush has to say about the attack or if he even cares.
Obama keeps MUM???? You never listen America... You just Elected an Idiot... MUM? Bye Obama...
This is just the beginning! Black Liberation Theology adherents take note!
Good luck to Hillary too!
Yes, Mr. President. You need to strengthen our ties with India and wipe out the terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Lauren, in case you haven't noticed, BUSH is still in office.
And Lame Dubya's reaction????
*crickets*
@ Lauren.................
This is not a test for the Obama Administration. This baby is still the property of "The Joker", BUSH
This is a horrendous act and let's hope and pray that this is the end of it. May God bring peace and harmony and grace this administration and the next with the strength and judgment to deal with these difficult situations to the best of their ability.
I am amazed that so many are calling for Obama to take action or to do something. Do people not realize that President ELECT Obama is not Preside at this time. He has only been elected and cannot take any actions or make decisions to change anything until he is sworn in on 20 January, 2009.
At present, any actions or decisions regarding the state of the nation are the responsibility of PRESIDENT BUSH. Even if Bush makes no decision or makes a bad decision, there is nothing President ELECT Obama can do to stop it until he is sworn in.
Please people, give the man a break. He is doing all he can to be ready on day one.
Can these attacks be in retaliation of America bombing Pakistan for the past couple of weeks, killing innocent civilians?
All of you haters please shut up. You sound like terrorists. Let the man get in office before criticising. BUSH is still the POTUS until 20 January. IDIOTS!! Rabble-rousers – just trying to stir more stink. SHAME ON YOU
WHERE does it say in this statement that "Obama is MUM"???? I guess only an idiot would make such a post without really reading it first.
India has been going through this for 40 years. No one in west took notice until it happened to them. India has been bleeding while all Western Powers were supporting Pakistan – the epi center for all terrorist activities.
Why do some want to criticize Obama when he's not in office? I hope Bush handles this better than the economic crisis. Oh, that's right, he did nothing. Leave Obama alone, he'll be better prepared on day one than Bush has been for eight years.

Why do you think anything is going to change once Obama takes office? Al Qaeda and their ilk hated the U.S before Bush took office and they will continue to hate us.
PLEASE PRAY FOR PEACE ON EARTH.
