i continue to be astounded by the reactions to global terrorism. Has anyone ever thought why these people would think that mayhem or strapping a vest with
C-4 and blowing themselves up is their best option? Clearly they have the ability to think and analyze and plan. But in their mind they are fighting Western Imperialism. They see their countries exploited by western multinationals with impunity. They see civilians killed with impunity, women and children. They see their governments who should protect them in league with these entities exploiting them and they look for meaning and purpose to hold onto. Often they look to religion and extreme religion to give order,direction , and purpose. They are disaffected, disillusioned, and angry at the injustice as they see it from their perspective and the incongruity because their perceived tormentors propagandize a doctrine of human rights, equality, justice, fairness and equity. If their ever is to be any real lasting inroads made against terrorism we cant simply kill them all which seems to be the mentality of Western thought. We have to look at these people as human beings worthy of dignity and respect and not be hypocritical for the sake of exploiting them and the resources they control. They need hope and change and food and jobs and education and some degree of certainty that bombs or drones will not destroy them. It is from this point of view and the resulting despair that terrorism is born and continues to grow worldwide.

For the people blaming Bush for everything....He has made some mistakes, but keep in mind that the Democrats have had control of the congress for the last two years. During which time, Gas went $4.00 a gallon, foreclosures skyrocketed, and the unemployment numbers went up.

People are so anxious to get a fresh start with an intelligent and educated President. It seems that everyone is sort of offering to help Bush pack and – do ya need a ride to the airport – sort of rush. However, Obama is not the President yet and some have expressed disappointment that he hasn't begun to make changes yet. There is adequate evidence that he is gathering a skilled team – so will bring vital experience and others fresh ideas. There's a lot of damage to undo and it will take time, hard work, and patience. So much depends on the success of this new Administration. They will need our support.

Give Peace a Chance Please.

The recent attacks in Mumbai have the potential of causing reprisal attacks. This would be just as wrong as the terrorists. Lets take a a page from Gandhi and modify and use his techniques.

First a Fact:
The only way these radical groups will stop is when modern/moderate Muslims stand up to them. For various reasons this is not happening.

So until there are no terrorist attacks in India for one year we will all boycott any Muslim business. This will not be easy but it is important as much as possible. Don't go to their restaurants, shop at their stores or even hire them. Walk away and do business with a Christian, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, Mormon or someone who has no religious ties.

I know some people say "listen to the terrorists and negotiate with them." This will just lead to more demands and it will never end.

Let us try for peace by a simple boycott, it may be the only chance the world has.

If you can try to send this to one person for every victim of the terrorist attacks. That would be the least you could do.

Obama has stated all along that the terrorist are near the borders of Pakistan . I think this is proof, and that sanctions against Pakistan need to be an option. I find it totally incongruous that Americans act so surprised and outraged at the attacks in Mumbia.
An illegal war in Iraq America has killed 1,200,000m people countless tens of thousands in Afghanistan dead, used mercenaries ( illegal combatants,Terrorist) currently 160,000 in Iraq. Tortured indiscriminately freedom fighters and non combatants including teenage children.
Quite frankly America and Britain deserve all they get maybe hopefully this will make these two terrorist states think twice about mounting another war using these illegal tactics, the only way to resolve this is to bring the war criminals responsible for these tactics to the Hague war crimes tribunals to be hung, just like Saddam Husein. Bush and Blair should face the same Gitmo methods of extracting information to be used against them in the war crimes trials. .

This carnage has been going on for almost 48 hours now. I strongly suspect that the terror outfits infiltrated and have the "embedded" employees in place at these Hotels. Once the operation started the "embedded" employees joined the "storming terrorists". Indian Hotels employ more help per guest in the luxury Hotels than the ones in the West. These terrorists can't act without sleep for 48 hours. Someone has to releive them when they rest.
