Limbaugh calls Obama's selection of Clinton 'a brilliant stroke'

Limbaugh called Obama's selection of Clinton 'a brilliant stroke.'

(CNN) - Rush Limbaugh seems to have given Hillary Clinton his stamp of approval for the second time this year.

The conservative talk show host — who urged supporters during the primary season to back Clinton in an effort to prolong the bitter Democratic presidential nomination fight — told ABC’s Barbara Walters that Clinton’s selection as Secretary of State was "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Obama.

He said the move was a political master stroke, effectively ruling out a primary challenge in four years. "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012?” he asks. “She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him - the one who made her Secretary of State."

Obama himself seemed to give a nod Monday to the pair’s policy disagreements during the 2008 primary season. "I assembled this team because I'm a strong believer in strong personalities and strong opinions,” he said at the event where he named Clinton as the leader of his new national security team. “I think that's how the best decisions are made.”

Limbaugh and brilliant should never be used in the same sentance.

Why on earth is Barbara Walters having Rush on her program? He is as irritating as Elisabeth. The world would rather listen to a symphony of fingernails across a blackboard than listen to either of these two narrow minded repugs.
I fail to understand why the repugs, especially God fearing evangelicals–hang on to his every word. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
Seems stangely sick. An overweight druggy with a big mouth! Why is he relevant to anyone?
Rush ( and maybe Barbara) need to just go away.

"The only people that care what Limbaugh says are people that do not have the ability to think for themselves."

Yes, and who have "dependant personalities" or who can not make choices of their own.

The other brilliant thing Obama has done is gotten the names of all of the donors to Clinton's library. If Bill steps out of line, Obama's peeps can threaten to expose his corruption further. Outstanding work!

Why do we even care what this moron has to say about anything. Other than supporting hate, fear and discrimination what has he ever done to contribute anything postive to society?

Why is his opinion worth listening to? He's a radio talk-show host, who never even graduated from college. From what I've heard from him, (and yes, I have listened to his show) he is often wrong on the issues and he continually weaves and bends the truth out of context.
I support his right to free speech, but it's hard to believe that any rational thinker would believe that he has any credibilty and that anyone would actually listen to him. If he wrote books instead of broadcasting on the radio, he would be in the fiction section of the library. It's just like some folks who get their serious news from the Daily Show. It's comedy, folks! Get it?

Complain, complain, complain... that's all you'll read here.

Regardless of what anyone here thinks about Limbaugh, it was indeed a brilliant move by Obama. The chances of having socialized HillaryCare forced upon us are now also dead for 4 or 8 years.

If you're a democrat and you're criticizing Rush's comment on this you're just shooting yourself in the foot. Doubt many dems or obama worshippers are smart enough to realize that.

Rush just states the obvious. Wow, guess that is why he gets the big bucks. What? Is he trying to sound intelligent now or something? What a bag of hot air. Don't worry, he and his wacko right-wing followers will be doing plenty of Obama bashing soon....... Oh, forgot, they already started.
