Limbaugh called Obama's selection of Clinton 'a brilliant stroke.'

(CNN) - Rush Limbaugh seems to have given Hillary Clinton his stamp of approval for the second time this year.

The conservative talk show host — who urged supporters during the primary season to back Clinton in an effort to prolong the bitter Democratic presidential nomination fight — told ABC’s Barbara Walters that Clinton’s selection as Secretary of State was "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Obama.

He said the move was a political master stroke, effectively ruling out a primary challenge in four years. "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012?” he asks. “She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him - the one who made her Secretary of State."

Obama himself seemed to give a nod Monday to the pair’s policy disagreements during the 2008 primary season. "I assembled this team because I'm a strong believer in strong personalities and strong opinions,” he said at the event where he named Clinton as the leader of his new national security team. “I think that's how the best decisions are made.”

Rush Limbaugh is a spineless glob of spit that has done more harm to this country than Benedict Arnold and Lee H. Oswald. He needs to retire to his Oxycontin and shut the hell up.

  5. Wow Rush just stick to the drugs, leave the opinions to the experts

    Limburger stinks.

First of all, Clinton has said she won't seek the office again.
Rush's whole argument about "enemies closer" is blow.
She's defeated, soundly, and realizes she will never be President.

Moreover, she really has no position, authority, or political impetus to criticize Obama regardless of whether she gets ANY cabinet slot.
Any complaining by Clinton will be seen as shrill and shrew, and
will make even MORE people hate her irrationally than already do.

But I agree that she was a good pick. Political master stroke? Hardly.

    Rush needs his medication doubled.

THE WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY should not pardon anyone. He should just sit in a corner and wait until his administration is OVER. Don't do anything, touch anything or call anyone. Just sit there and watch the clock.

Tick tock...it's almost time for a change.

Who cares what Rush thinks? He is probably strung out on Oxycontin for most of his "waking" time.

This is a good point, actually, by a man who usually lacks that ability. Then again, HIllary running in 2012 is ridiculous, who would support her, and why would she be that selfish?

It's sad to see so many taking shots at a person who is/was addicted to drugs. How many of you have addicts and alcoholics in your own families? Not one of you? I'm awe stricken. Regardless of whether or not you agree with his politics, an illness is an illness. Would it be appropriate to attack Senator Edward Kennedy, because he has cancer?

To mike rose...so let me get this right....you hope that our "country is rocked to it.s very foundation" and we have to beg the likes of you to defend us?

Would you hope the same thing if we had elected your guy? To wish ill for the country I'm sure u claim to love for any political reason is truly a sad statement regarding your patriotism. How bout see what the new administration does before you vilify them. Had your party done a better job with the difficult task of governing then they might not have been run outta Washington so decisively. Take your medicine like rush and maybe try some meditation?

Even as an conservitive myself i think Rush is a moron, he is an entertainer, and brings nothing to the table of helping the USA back to the country of freedom and liberty it was born to have.

Amazing – to think that I thought this (?) was a total imbecile!!! Well, he is right, at least once in his life!!! And now, I don't mind so much that Obama won this election. Perhaps he really will do some of the things he has promised the people. I go on record as nominating him one of the world's most impressive orators. NOW, I'm hoping that at least half of his gilded words will ring true!!!

In his typically myopic style, the great poobah fails to see that Obama has chosen his cabinet based on ability and experience...unlike his buddy, John McCain.
Welcome, ignorant Dittoheads, to real change based on intelligence, capability, and vision; not politics as usual.
