Limbaugh called Obama's selection of Clinton 'a brilliant stroke.'

(CNN) - Rush Limbaugh seems to have given Hillary Clinton his stamp of approval for the second time this year.

The conservative talk show host — who urged supporters during the primary season to back Clinton in an effort to prolong the bitter Democratic presidential nomination fight — told ABC’s Barbara Walters that Clinton’s selection as Secretary of State was "a brilliant stroke" by President-elect Obama.

He said the move was a political master stroke, effectively ruling out a primary challenge in four years. "You know the old phrase, 'You keep your friends close and your enemies closer?' How can she run for president in 2012?” he asks. “She'd have to run against the incumbent and be critical of him - the one who made her Secretary of State."

Obama himself seemed to give a nod Monday to the pair’s policy disagreements during the 2008 primary season. "I assembled this team because I'm a strong believer in strong personalities and strong opinions,” he said at the event where he named Clinton as the leader of his new national security team. “I think that's how the best decisions are made.”

Maybe....just maybe, Obama may be doing whats he feels is best for this country. Maybe thats the change he is talking about. I really didnt look at all 196 comments but I sure didnt see anything that alluded to this foreign concept. After 8 years of Bush Junior its seems obvious that our views are almost entirely cynacal (sp)

Rush exists to feed the hate appetite of the American far Right. If you are a Conservative, I call on you to stand against him like you wanted Muslim mullahs to speak out against terrorists.

Ever notice how someone who points out the BRILLIANCE of something is really just trying to have their own intelligence recognized?

"Hillary – I feel really bad about the whole primary thing. I apologize for being nominated as the Democratic candidate. Oh, and I'm real sorry about not picking you as VP. A lot of people are upset about that, huh? Let's see...ummmm...here's something! Secretary of State. How does that sound? Will you forgive me? Are we friends? Cool. I think your husband is really neat by the way."

Rush uses hate as a method. That doesn't give him truth, it just makes him popular. I like HRC, but he doesn't change my opinion on that.

Once again Rush rules! I love watching these ignorant liberals trying to lampoon Rush Limbaugh. They hate his success and they really don't know his views. They don't listen to his show but the do imagine what he has to say. His real specialty is Freedom of Speach, something liberals distain. Rush won't let them rewrite history or allow foolish things to go unanswered. When things get really bad Rush Limbaugh will issue that call to arms, not unlike that of Patrick Henry. He is a true patriot.

I actually posted several positive comments about this story and about Rush. Did you really think they would ever appear? Typical liberals. The difference between a liberal and a communist? A communist knows what he is doing!

Pop a couple of more pills, Rush.

    Divorce another wife or two.

Maybe you can run for office for your perverted
    followers, the supposed conservative right.

What a crock you are, Rush. Go to Hell, if
you know where to find it.

There are 179 comments to this Rush article. Remove the grade school recess flippant blogs and one can see the strong testimonials for Rush, pro and con. Thanks to those well meaning writers.

When Rush or Rove start commending Obama, it means the Republican party is near extinction.

For those of you who say he is irrelevant:
He has a weekly audience of 20 million people

For those of you who pull the drug-addict card:
Review the case. Yes he made a mistake. However, he only starting taking the pills to deal with real medical issues. He never intended to use OxyContin recreationally, he meant to use it for a real purpose. He had an addiction, we know, but it was not as if he was living a pain free life. If anyone questions this, look it up.

Mike posted: " ill be so glad when this country is rocked to it.s very foundation and then you left wing idiots beg for people like myself to defend you that will surely be the day i lay down my arms and say they are not my sisters and brothers do with them as you please."

Mike, if you really will be glad when this country is rocked to it's very foundation, then I do not want you defending us now. There is something very wrong with your philosophy and your patriotism. This country is defended by Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and apolitical people of all backgrounds, genders and races.

It is interesting the hate comments against Limbaugh. Liberals spend a lot of time spewing their "none judgemental" agenda. But God forbid, yes God, someone not agree with them the spewing becomes gnashing of teeth and they begin foaming at the mouth. Instead of spending time condemning a man who more than likely is living a life 10 times more successful than anyone on this blog, why don't you people get out of your house and look up at the stars and try to find a true purpose for your life. I hate to be the party pooper, but it probably doesn't matter who Mr. Obama makes SOS. CHANGE is never going to happen in America because it is easier to HATE (as evident on this blog) than it is to be NICE to those who do not agree with you. You people have way to much NEGATIVE energy. Go and be nice to someone tomorrow and then us conservatives might want to be like you.

One more thing..those of you talking about Obama not bringing change by picking experienced people for his administration..does it make sense when you say that out loud? The first big change is that hes picking intellectuals– thats more than our current President can say. Second, its about his IDEAS AND PLANS that are the change. Not the faces. Remember HE is in charge.
