Palin becomes the latest 2012 prospect to hit the trail in Georgia.

(CNN) – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin takes on the closer role today, teaming up with incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss at four campaign events in Georgia on the last full day of campaigning before tomorrow's Senate runoff election in the state.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate joined Chambliss at a pair of fundraisers last night. She adds her name to the list of big-name surrogates who have made campaign cameos in the year’s final remaining Senate contest.

Sen. John McCain returned to the trail to campaign with Chambliss just nine days after losing the presidential election to Obama. So have some of his Republican primary rivals, like former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani — all likely 2012 candidates for the GOP presidential nomination, along with Palin.

Palin came out on top in a recent Gallup poll that asked Republican voters who they are most interested in seeing run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Sixty-seven percent of Republican and Republican- leaning voters said they would like to see her make a bid for the next GOP presidential nomination. Romney and Huckabee followed, at 62 and 61 percent.

Martin is also getting some major league help. Both former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore have separately teamed up with Martin. President-elect Barack Obama isn't making a trip to Georgia but he did lend his voice to a 60 second radio ad that's been running for over a week. And many Obama campaign workers in Georgia from the general election are now assisting Martin's campaign.

Today, Martin teams up with Georgia Congressman John Lewis and other prominent Georgia Democrats before ending the day at a rally at the State Capitol in Atlanta with rapper Ludacris.

Do these big name surrogates make a difference? "Generally they can help boost turnout, because of all the media attention. Turnout in a runoff election is often very low compared to a presidential election and each side needs to get as many of their voters to the polls as possible," says CNN Senior Political Analyst Bill Schneider.

Democrats have so far picked up seven Senate seats in this year's election, with the Republican seats in Georgia and Minnesota still undecided. In Minnesota, freshman GOP Senator Norm Coleman topped his Democratic challenger, Al Franken, by just 215 votes, triggering an automatic recount which will extend well into December.

If the Democrats take both remaining contests, they'll reach their pre-election goal of controlling 60 Senate seats, a filibuster-proof majority.

Alaskan for Obama and Begich   December 1st, 2008 1:13 pm ET

Prior to September 2008 Sarah seemed like a 2-term governor of Alaska. Now she appears not to be interested in her governor responsibilities. Alaskans have learned lots of negative "things" about Palin during her campaign for McCain. I think Palin has ruined her political career in Alaska. She will never be President of the United States.

eunice c   December 1st, 2008 1:11 pm ET

sarah palin will not and i mean will not get my vote if she decides to run for pres in 2012 she donot know anything about politics oh and by the way the guy will not be marrying her daughter - the state of alaska with support the baby - THE LOWER 48 will not support that baby

Rolling in the Aisles, VA   December 1st, 2008 1:07 pm ET

Keep up the good work Sarah. At the rate you're going, the Democrats will pick up another 10 seats in the Senate and 25 more in the House in 2010.
You, on the other hand, will not even repeat as governor in Alaska, much less reaching a national office. EVER.

Janey-

What you describe is called a delusion. Obama has accomplished more in four weeks than the current President has done in the last 6 months. His appointments have been praised by BOTH sides. The only people who have problems with them are Rush, Hannity, and the sheep who follow them around blindly.

And, once and for all, we do not fear Palin. Please run her in 2012. She makes Bush look smart.

Ms. Rotten-Stacy was being sarcastic. I've seen her posts, she is no Palin fan.

Please give us more Sarah Palin..al the time...in every season. We just can't get enough of her. Any chance she will divorce Todd and marry Joe The Plumber? This would be great! What a brain trust they could generate! The thought just sends me shivering with delight.
Sarah...don't let them get you down, only you and Joe are "Real" Americans. Good luck looking for other "Real" Americans while you are down in Georgia...will you be compiling a list for the Republican Party? They need all the real Americans that they can get. Maybe you can drive them all back to Alaska with you on your Dodge Grand Caravan...a "Real" American vehicle? Then you could all do "Real" American things...ya know...mavericky things!

The poor Republican party is in shambles. Look who their front runners are- not to mention look at their supporters- a sorry group of bigots, people who watch Fox news, and extreme and radical evangelical and born again Christians. What a sad sight for sore eyes. Meanwhile, Palin is a gift from heaven to all of 'em, Ha! Morons.

hugh ~ california   December 1st, 2008 12:39 pm ET

I don't dislike Sarah Palin because she's a republican. I dislike her because she's like a minor league ballplayer who thinks she more than qualified to play in majors, when it's obvious to most she is not.
Only republicans with blinders on think she's ready for the world stage as a leader in their party.

Nan   December 1st, 2008 12:38 pm ET

Yes, Sarah! Run! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget to bring the headless turkeys and beer for all your brilliant "Joe Six-Pack" constituents. You know the ones – they who hug the porcelain on a regular basis.

Abuse of power   December 1st, 2008 12:37 pm ET

Are there any rational voices left in my former Republican Party? Do they really want polarizing Palin to be their standard bearer? If so, you can count me out. How sad.

Palin unfortunately fits right in with Chambliss' inappropriate treatment of war veteran, Cleland.

Please good people of Georgia vote Martin.

Why I hate Sarah.

I hate Sarah because:

-She doesn't speak proper English and celebrates it.
-She went to school, had babies and became mayor without doing anything except being devisive.
-She is a good example of what not to do with your life.
-She knew she wasn't qualified and ruined John McCain's chances to become president.
-She actually thought she was going to win.
-She thinks being popular is the same as being qualified.
-She speaks to a sublevel of people who love to hate others.
-She has no sensitivity towards the killing of animals.

The sad part is that Chambliss is likely to win, and Palin will be credited with the save.

It is stunning to see the Obama team putting together a coalition of the "brightest and the best" to take the country in a new direction while all the Republicans can do is wheel out this "half-wit" to represent their view of the future.

Mickie   December 1st, 2008 12:10 pm ET

Sarah is another one of those who espouses religion to get votes while going to a minister who uses witchcraft; has a long term affair with her husband's business partner while he is away; judges everyone else even though the Bible tells us to "judge not, lest ye be not judged", and uses her own children as a tool to try to get elected. Yeah, she sounds like she is a republican. For all of you who think "liberal" is a dirty word, liberal sex and loose morals are not owned by any one group and are rampant among "vocal right wingers".

It certianly has! There was only ONE REAL REPUBLICAN in the 2008 race, and the GOP BLEW IT....BIG TIME!

I'm an Indy and I was supporting Dr. Ron Paul. I WAS going to vote for him. McShame is too INSANE for my taste; and he sure proved that with his Palin pick.

The Republicans are now a dead breed!! It will be Indys and Dems from here on out! The REAL Reps jumped ship and voted Obama. And more and more REAL Repubs are leaving the party and becoming Indy.

I partially agree with your comment, that is why most democrats voted for Obama.

And by the way, I have a lot of "common sense" and understand the inner workings of why a lot of things really do work in the 1st place. The thing that I take solice with is the fact that the "CHANGE" Obama was talking about was to change back to the Clinton years. More corruption on the way.

Hey SaRahRahRah...your "god" has spoken...YOU LOST!! It was "gods will".

GO HOME and GOVERN your State!! The Good People of AK are wondering when you're going to start doing your JOB?!

Since the day you took Office, you've done nothing but further your personal agenda. Starting on Day 1 of taking Office to get your ex brother-in-law fired as an AK Trooper. And that is ALL you have done SINCE taking Office.

So, Princess, let me clue you in on what is going on within your own State that you so willfully NEGLECT......

Alaska is the highest in the Nation for rape and domestic violence.
Alaska ranks high in sexual abuse of children.
Alaska has TWICE the number of High School drop outs as the rest of the Nation. (AK population...UNDER 700,000).
Alaska has a higher rate of teen pregnancy. (By the way...did you know that your daughter is pregnant????)
Alaska is paying the highest gasoline and heating oil prices (heating oil is almost $10 a GAL).

And that is just for starters. Hey, SaRahRahRah....when are you going to GET TO WORK FOR THE CITIZENS OF YOUR OWN STATE???? People have been waiting for almost 2 years now for you to DO SOMETHING! Something other than take your whole family on "State Business" trips and then send the bills to the taxpayers. Something other than showing up at your husbands snowmobile races, with the whole family, of course, and charging the taxpayers! Something other than tending to your personal vendetta's (TrooperGate).

I can't wait until they IMPEECH YOU!!!

It is sad for us from Georgia that her style of politics still work is this backward region of the USA. Many here don't agree with the lying, fear-mongering tactics the Repubs use, but like South Carolina and some other states around us, the majority of the voting population are still easily fooled.

Note to all you Republicans who drank the Kool-Aid: If you want to see a landslide of the magnitude that LBJ or Reagan had in 1964 or 1984, feel free to nominate the current Governor of Alaska for President. It will not be pretty for the party of Lincoln.

Lastly...this is the Sarah Palin ego trip tour. Within the next four years she is setting herself up for one humongous let down and she doesn't even realize it yet.

GA Resident   December 1st, 2008 10:59 am ET

Unfortunately, Sarah Palin and her extremist views will resonate with some Georgia voters. Georgia politics shows a real dichotomy. There is the mostly Democratic politics of Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs and then the rest of the state which leans heavily Republican. The RNC are hoping Gov. Palin and her views will appeal to those less educated voters outside of Atlanta and garner support for Mr. Chambliss.

I live in a smaller town in the state and can't believe some of the racist, uninformed comments I've heard throughout this election from people in my community. I find it quite sad.

Someone needs to sit the base down and tell them that the GOP cannot survive with this woman at the helm. As much as I hate the GOP, we NEED an opposition party. We've seen what happens when there are no checks and balances.

Sarah scares you   December 1st, 2008 10:54 am ET

They're too scared to admit it.

Yes Republican's, America is still very angry at your party. You lowered yourselves and our nations respect imeasurably across the world. You allowed your candidate to pick a VP candidate to run who was not qualified. She pushed your party so far to the right that "GOD" was even worried. She has continued to be the single most influential politician in your party even though many of your elite despise her. She continues to speak as though she were entering into a war within this country, or trying to instigate one. She will, if allowed to continue her divisive tactics, be the inevitible ball and chain around the repuliban parties brand. Her chances of being elected to a political office of any clout, is minimal, if not impossible. She would mobilize the opposing side to a landslide defeat again.

No. 1000+ comments of negativity is not enough. People should be lambasting this woman until they are blue in the face. Type your fingertips bloody people: maybe, just maybe, the GOP will get a clue. I knwo it seems hard to believe since they seem to have missed the message we sent on November 4th, but there's no reason to stop trying.

Who are these Republicans that think she is even remotely qualified to be president? She should get back to governing the State of Alaska; sorry Alaska. Why won't she just go away?!! And now Barbara Walters thinks Palin is one of 2008's most fascinating people. Most terrifying is more like it!

The other thing that I possess, which a lot of you don't have, is common sense.

Who ever you are, you need to get over it. Having a masters Degree in Computer Science doesn't necessarily deflect your ignorance.....by the way I have two MBA! Ignorance and illiteracy doesn't have the same meaning. There are people out there who are highly educated yet they are very ignorant on a lot of social & economical issues.......and anyone who thinks Sarah Palin can run this country is extremely ignorant to what's going on in this society. I'm not scared of her; I'm scared of the hatred that she was spewing during the president campaign. My six year old niece could debate her and win!! So what's there to be scared of........besides her ignorance and lack of knowledge to worldwide and domestic affairs.

I'm sick of people keep talking about the average Joe and Jane. Why the heck would someone wants an ordinary person to run this country filled with so many problems and chaos! If Jesus Christ himself would come back to earth to run for office, he'll definitely get my vote. I want the best of the best! of all the hundred of millions of people this country have had; only 44 got to be president so far, these are special people, therefore they should be the most intellectual.

So to heck with that average Joe crap! Because I don't want to be smarter than my boss, I don't mind being as smart as him. I want a well grounded knowledgeable person supervising me. So to all of you haters, lighten up! and welcome to reality!!

Soccer Nana   December 1st, 2008 10:48 am ET

"Palin came out on top in a recent Gallup poll that asked Republican voters who they are most interested in seeing run for the GOP nomination in 2012. Sixty-seven percent of Republican and Republican- leaning voters said they would like to see her make a bid for the next GOP presidential nomination. Romney and Huckabee followed, at 62 and 61 percent." Quoted from this article.

That is scary – ignorance is rampant. Romney and Huckabee can speak in comprehensible sentences. How can they place lower than Palin?

The only reason Chambliss is "using" Palin is to continue his anti-PEOTUS Obama rhetoric that he is spewing in his current campaign ads in GA. Palin spewed so much anti-Obama venom on the VP campaign trail that Chambliss wants her to do the same for him. Doesn't he realize that tactic failed during the recent presidential election? Pitiful, simply pitiful.

Ken   December 1st, 2008 10:45 am ET

That people in the [R] party continue to see Miss Trailer-Trash 2008 as something positive for their party is a sign that they have NOT learned their lesson from the Nov. election. If she is allowed to take a lead position in the [R] party, that will be the end of that party. That's fine with me. The [R] party needs to change, or die; it needs to find a way to move beyond its failed rightwing policies and get back to real conservative values.... it needs to accept the fact that no mainstream political party should be beholden to the intrinsically un-american, rightwing, religious-fanatic underbelly of this nation.

SC   December 1st, 2008 10:37 am ET

Would you call this the stupidity of both Saxby & Palin? First of all, Palin did not even know what she wanted to say. This is at least my very kind gesture to her. The truth was she did not even know what she needed to say throughout the campaign, i.e., the Katie Couric interview, the Charlie Gibson interview, the debate with Joe Biden and many more. Saxby's stupidity was he brought clueless Palin to Georgia so she could say gibberish to pave the way for him to his Senate seat. I'm completely dumbfounded by these two individuals. I hope she would not say something like God asked her to tell Georgian to elect Saxby.

So yeah, you hit the nail on the head...we're terrified of the damage she is so obviously capable of doing to our country.

Ken in Dallas   December 1st, 2008 10:31 am ET

@Gordon,

Gomer Pyle never said "Nasty, nasty, nasty," and neither did Jim Nabors. I do respect your choice to quote a gay American as a voice of authority on this topic, however.

I think the fellow you were actually quoting was probably Larry Craig, a much less respectable gay American than Jim Nabors. I get the feeling you may be projecting a bit, though. Tell me, Gordon, are you a "dirty, nasty, boy?"

Incidentally, you might want to consult with Governor Palin before you start quoting gay folk in her support. She might not be comfortable with that.

Incidentally, @Get Over It, we ARE scared of what Palin would do with real power. We've seen what she has to offer, and she's mostly a fraud. She claims to be an authority on economics because she's governor of a state that's getting fat on $150/bbl oil, as if that were a challenge. She rails against the progressive tax structure and windfall profit taxes AFTER she enacted a 25% windfall profits tax on oil companies operating in Alaska. She pretends to be a loyal American, but to do so, she has to sweep a staunch Alaskan ally, Joe Vogler, under the rug (if not the bus.)

Is this really the sort of person who represents the best the Republican party has to offer? That's it? Really?

This woman is a master mind. She can do it all. Yes sir me, she sure can. Oh wait, the Big Dude must be watching the children and minding the State so little Ms. Sarah can get more of the lime light. She's got to get herself to the top ya know whatever it takes.

So much for you supporting freedom of speech.,

Gordon, you may want to rethink your thoughts. Palin is using you and Saxby Chambliss is the worst politician alive. He's the one that dodged military service 4 times before getting a waiver for his knees. Yet, he went after a man that served honorably in Vietnam, left two legs and one arm in that war in Vietnam, and had to endure a painful recovery. And then falsely identified as 'Soft on Terrorism" by Chambliss all because he wanted not to wage a false war and expend the US Treasury. Sounds familiar? Chambliss is a man that would backstab the military to get what he wants. He does not give a hoot about you. Admit it. He's dishonorable and should not remain in the Senate. Georgia would do well to vote him out and send Palin back to Alaska to clean up her mess.

Back to Alaska where you belong, Palin!!!

Matt   December 1st, 2008 10:21 am ET

Not news. If you want to report about Palin, make it news, like "Palin learns to tie shoes" or something. At least then might be suprised enough to consider it newsworthy. But you don't have to tune in to CNN or be a psychic to know she's a waltzing political timebomb for the Republican party.

Sue   December 1st, 2008 10:21 am ET

When Martin wins, maybe the GOP will finally realize that Palin's appeal is limited, and will never cross over to the voters they need unless she changes her narrow world view, and learns to speak correct English. And SHE didn't win 47% of the vote, McCain and she did. If it had been her atop the ticket, many more people would have voted for Obama, because she was a polarizing figure during the campaign...not once did she mention serving "all of America" as Obama did every day.

Tom in Delaware   December 1st, 2008 10:21 am ET

The best part about the hate and fear that the Liberal Left exhibits everytime Sarah Palin's name is mentioned is that the MSM will always keep her name in the news, because she is like a magnet to steel.

It's the perfect parasitic relationship, except that both sides are parasites.

Please don't change a thing.

Between the impossible expectations that Obama can never meet, and Palin staying in the news every week, it's the best free advertising that can be found.

grahame   December 1st, 2008 10:21 am ET

To "Get Over It": We liberals are afraid of Palin. She is nothing like us. You may have an education, but you are not well educated. Palin has an extreme view of this world, which does not represent most well educated individuals. While Palin has a pretty face, she lacks the ability to connect to those that do not think like her (ie. extreme right) and resolve issues. We had 8 years of crazy policy and it has taken our country into a dark hole. There are pockets of this country that have like minds with Palin. Thankfully, the majority saw her for what she is ~ nuts. She is a flash in the pan and a sad display of the Republican party.

In Palin’s own oxymoron (certainly probably). Some of you who hear the much sense that she makes when she speaks will “definitely almost certainly” see her amount to something on the national political scene once she “undoubtedly maybe” figures out how to use a grammatically correct and complete English sentence because certainly probably it’s the only language she knows. Not that it matters to know more than one language but she can at least be coherent articulating her self which ever way.

In your own words, Liberals are "scared" of Gov. Palin because she is a "normal" person like the "rest of us".

By "rest of us" you are probably refering to the minority that voted for her ticket which did nothing to stop the landslide victory Obama had.

Your words: You are not some uneducated "red neck", you in fact have a Master's degree AND who also seems to possess another thing, which a "lot of us don't have", and that is "common sense".

Are you listening to yourself???

G Unit   December 1st, 2008 10:02 am ET

I don't understand why the republican party wanna japodize the future of the party for such mentaly challange person? they acting like they were bling or perhaps there's someting behing all of this that us the majority get yet.I wonder what can she bring to the republican party.

To get over it: As another highly educated individual/educator with an opinion, I can admit I am SCARED of Palin. Having her as a leader of the US should TERRIFY you as well. If you meant intimidated by her...that's a joke as well. Took her 7 years to get her Bachelor's...yes, that intimdates my intelligence.

Why do we have to keep the "lowest common denominator" around? Why, as "Get over it" says, do we need someone "like the rest of us" (meaning, arrogant, with limited english knowledge, not curious about learning and expanding their knowledge) still around? I want to be concerned about people better than me, someone I can learn from, not the moos hunting binge-shopper Sarah!

Palin is about the past, about fear, about Cold War mentality.

Not only can a person see Russia from Alaska, but apparently the big bear can be felt in Alaska, and the good Gov. of Alaska is driven by her own fear.

I'm sure it makes sense to her, and may be even for Alaska, but not for America as a whole – not at all.

It's amazing to me how the extreme right refuses to accept that their patron saint Palin is a functioning idiot that can't string two coherent sentences together to save her life-

THIS is the future of the republican party?

America dodged a major bullet when we rejected this moron- Now that she's nowhere close to power we can laugh at her insane bobble-headed ramblings

LWE, former Republican, Central FL   December 1st, 2008 9:50 am ET

Perhaps she is deaf...that would also explain her difficulty speaking with coherent sentences.

Leah from FL   December 1st, 2008 9:50 am ET

Hey "Get over it" – my common sense works great, and this woman is not who I want representing the USA. She is OK for AK, but not the bigger picture melting pot of America. TOO narrow minded and bigoted. We need to move forward in the 21st century, and she is not able to take us there. Her blunders are astonishing, and her knowledge questionable at best (even my 9 year old knows Africa is a Continent). Her campaign style is vile, divisive, lying and borders on evil, all while smiling, winking and insulting her targets. Maybe now we need to be asking "Who is THE REAL Sarah Palin?" in the same fashion as she used to ask us to question Obama. When the smoke screen around her lifts, the truth about her will finally start to be revealed, and those touting her praises now will slowly see how she has actually betrayed their trust and played them like a fiddle. MY COMMON SENSE IS TELLING ME SHE'S A FRAUD.

jfs Memhis, Tn   December 1st, 2008 9:49 am ET

This Party will be going down the WRONG PATH with this young Lady(PALIN) as a foundation for the NEW Republican Party. In a Democratically controlled Washingtopn the state of Georgia has an opportunity to elect a Dem into the Senate and retain the other seat as Republican. Does Georgia expect to get ANYTHING in the next 6 years with a Republican Majority from their STATE ??? You'all need to use your heads and get some of your Federal Tax Money back. WOW HOW UNINFORMED AND STUBBORNED YOU FOLKS MUST BE !!! Vote with some intelligence. You Republicans need to examine some other Republican Women whom are brilliant and get Moderate's support for a New Republican Party ...That is Sen. Snow and Sen. Collins. These good people would give me cause to reconsider the Republican Party as most Moderates may very well do.......

GA Independent   December 1st, 2008 9:48 am ET

Well, the twit is here and is blathering at rallies covered by TV News. She's obviously reading from the script and still can't get it right. It seems that not only can she not say anything sensible on her own, but when she reads from the script, she appears to end sentences in random. places making. a simple sentence seem. confused and without. meaning you betcha.

Yup, she'll be a great Prez candidate – maybe she'll pick GW for her running mate.

GA – get out and vote Martin tomorrow.

Sarah Palin excites about 30% of the voters, primarily the Evangelical Christian base support of the Republican Party. The majority of republicans and Independents see the Alaskan Governor for who she is, a shallow, uninformed opportunistic politician who puts Sarah first, even ahead of her family's needs such as parental guidance and instilling quality life values and achievements. She talks the game, but plays at a minor league level. She is the perfect throwaway candidate for the 2012 Republican Party.

jon   December 1st, 2008 9:44 am ET

To: Get OVer It
"Maybe is is because she is a normal person like the rest of us."

Didn't you learn your lesson the last 8 years that picking the person that is normal just like the rest of us does not get us anywhere? Actually it gets us somewhere....in the WORST FINANCIAL CRISIS in almost 100 years, TWO WARS, A TERRIBLE INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION, and SOME OF THE MOST INHUMANE ACTS ON MANKIND, EVER!

how about you take your b.s. (and thats not bachelors of science) in COmputer SCience and get a real degree that actually gives you some knowledge on politics and policies, like a political science degree like i have

Monroe W. DeVos   December 1st, 2008 9:44 am ET

To: Get Over It

Sarah Palin is not "a normal person" like the rest of us. Just because you have a Masters Degree in Computer Science doesn't necessarily mean that you have common sense. Your inability to look beyond the cover is apparent in this situation. Sarah Palin's right wing stance means that she is not representative of 70% of the population. Again...she needs to go back to Alaska and take care of her constituents.

Stacy from Loudoun County VA   December 1st, 2008 9:44 am ET

I am so glad that Sarah Palin is in Georgia. I am sure that the good people of Alaska, who elected her to be the Governor are too, since she has been on the job so long since accepting the nomination for Vice President months ago. She seems to be all hands on when it comes to her duties there.

Shucks   December 1st, 2008 9:43 am ET

Get over it. First of all, you can be educated and still be a moron. The fact that you think Palin speaks for "normal people like us" is pretty scary unto itself. Normal, I'll conclude, means in the case of Ms. Palin, hate monger, Chirstian nutjob, divisive, racist, unable to form a coherent sentence when asked a question that requires thought and being informed, and just plain stupid. Yes Americans are a pretty stupid bunch. Especially the Republican party this time around. We saw what their decisions meant to their party at election time. Only a true moron would not have gotten the message.

Don't blame me.   December 1st, 2008 9:39 am ET

To Ken in Dallas.

"Empty suite"????

Remember, Y'all elected the ultimate "empty suite" called Obama.

And right now, Pelosi, Ried, and Obama are working to restrict "Law Abiding" American Citizen's rights thru;

1) Our 1st Amendment rights thru the "Fairness (sensorship) doctrine" this will silence the voices of over 55 million American voices.

2) Our 2nd Amendment rights to gun ownership. Obama was AGAINST laws that made it tougher on GANG members while serving in the Illinois senate, but he is FOR restricting the the rights of "Law Abiding Citizens" to own guns.

And this is just to start.

They are also working to add an addtional 32 – 58 cent tax on a gallon of gasoline.

And they want to grant AMNESTY to "law breaking" illegal aliens which will wind up taking JOBS for "Law Abiding" U.S. Citizens.

And these are just the tip of the iceburg.

S.B. Stein E.B. NJ   December 1st, 2008 9:39 am ET

I guess that she doesn't want to really run for president in 2012. Why do I say that? It is because she needs to finish her term as Governor of Alaska and actually show something for it. So far, I don't think that I would vote for her based on her limited record.

Obama has been in elected office far longer than her. Being a maverick doesn't count for squat (or other words that start with S). Her attitude also needs to change. She is so anti-intellectual that it could hurt every segment of the economy and our future. How could we get here without the high tech sector? We couldn't and that requires some level of understanding.

She needs to take care of her family and state first and let the rest of the country do what it needs to better the country. She can stay out of national politics where she doesn't belong.

Maybe if the regular Ticker readers would stop making trite comments, CNN wouldn’t be so enthusiastic about keeping her in the REHASHED NEWS.

If she runs in 2012, there won't be a Republican in office until anti-gravity cars are on thwe market. I never thought there was a person out there dumber than Bush, but, there she is. I thought Republicans were smarter than that. If they are placing their bets on Sarah Palin for 2012 then they have forgotten how the public cast her adrift in the last election. She was one of the most divisive, uninformed, fear mongering, hate filled, candidate the Republicans have ever put forward. The Democrats are only hoping that she does run because there is no way in hell the Independents, women and Democrats will ever vote for such a candidate. She was one of the main reason John McCain lost the election. It was not only her inexperience and blunders that turned off the public but also it was her radical, religious right wing views that she has on many subjects that turn back the clock to a time when intolerance was rampant in America. It’s time for America to progress not regress. It’s time to start that American dream and wake up from the nightmare. If Palin is going to run again then America will slowly fall back into the nightmare again.
