Palin said she appreciated Obama and Biden meeting with the nation's governors Tuesday.

(CNN) – Governor Sarah Palin told reporters following the National Governors Association meeting with President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden Tuesday that she appreciated the new administration reaching out to the country’s governors, brushing aside ‘unflattering’ comments made by both tickets during the campaign.

Asked how she felt about a partnership with people she spoke unflatteringly about on the campaign trail, Palin replied that the jabs were “mutual.”

“But the campaign is over and I so appreciated this meeting that we had,” Palin said. “I'm quite optimistic about moving forward in a bi-partisan manner as we do forge this partnership between states and the federal government.

“I appreciated that President-elect Obama recognizes, first that he recognizes how valuable it is to have governors in his cabinet and we assume that all will go well and some of these governors will be in his cabinet,” she continued, adding that governors “know best” about the economic issues raised Tuesday.

“In fact, remember on the campaign trail I tried to convince the majority of voters that governors knew best. Obviously that didn't work, I'm here and VP-elect Biden is there,” she said, calling the meeting “overall great.”

The Alaska governor briefly waded into subject of Tuesday’s meeting, saying that she and other governors present had “great concerns” about increased spending under an Obama administration.

“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these. This is going to be a matter of re-prioritizing federal dollars though and putting them to use in the wisest fashion for taxpayers, for constituents.”

Sarah Palin makes me wonder if she's like the 40 odd % of americans who voted for her. I'd hate to think that. How she was even considered as vice-president material of a (the) major nation on Earth is beyond belief.

Some women are saying she is "just one of them" but then most people are not presidential material (RIGHT?). Sarah Palin might be a good choice for newspaper cover pages (she has a nice smile, sometimes, good legs…) but she would have to reinvent everything else if her role included saying anything more substantial than "gotchya". And by then the good legs would be, most probably, long gone.

Condie Rice also has great legs but most importantly a great BRAIN! Do you Republicans notice any difference? For heaven's sake, stop demeaning americans and find someone better. You can do it (I guess :S)…

Russians here!   December 2nd, 2008 7:36 pm ET

Palin says: "In fact, remember… I tried to convince the majority of voters that governors knew best." If anybody told anything about governors don't know anything?! Palin, please!!!! THAT'S WHY Obama pledges to help governors and work with them closely.
If anybody can send all these messages to her as reminder that she also tried to convince voters that she has so many things to do in Uulhaska…She knows as soon she comes back to Alaska, she will have to work hard, and even may be drill baby, driil. No, Sarah? This project, probably, is not a piece of cake, with current oil prices, hah?

britelite   December 2nd, 2008 7:34 pm ET

For those of you who make fun of Sarah's accent — when was the last time you went to a fast food restaurant in Southern California or Texas??? OR one in Detroit or New Jersey?? Minnesota??? How about the Bronx or Brooklyn….

You show your unmitigated ignorance in knocking her accent. Her accent reflects a mixture of accents from those who settled in Alaska from the North Central States and the Native Eskimos and Athabascan Indians of Central Alaska. You make fun not only of her, but all other Alaskans, as well as your own American heritage.

But, based on the level of intelligence shown in your comments, I'm sure YOUR ignorance is bliss!!!!

britelite   December 2nd, 2008 7:23 pm ET

Here's a clue America – George W. Bush has been President for 8 years and Sarah Palin is Governor of the greatest state in the union.

You Obama leftists can belly-ache all you want, but they got elected by VERY INTELLIGENT voters. They will not go away, because they really are the smart ones – I don't see you bloggers holding any office or even serving your country in any way, but just yammering to hear yourselves whine and to try to tear it down. I'll bet Obama will open up travel to Iran & Iraq soon, so be sure to buy your one-way tickets right away!!

Four years will tell the tale. All of you whiners will be begging for Sarah and the rest of her team to save your sorry arses from the wreck and ruin of Obama's "hand-picked" team of "I owe them BIG time for getting me in office – who cares what they can do… but since they all worked for Clinton, and I know absolutely nothing about running anything, maybe they'll carry my butt through….."

malclave   December 2nd, 2008 7:13 pm ET

And the liberal morons here (sorry, I know that's redundant) just can't help but attack Palin.

Get a life.

Oh, and CNN, how come you haven't started reporting on Obama's background yet? Incompetent, or just malfeasant?

Alaskian Pride   December 2nd, 2008 7:13 pm ET

The more you talk about her the more she appears in our everyday life. If you don't like her or what the media has to say about her don't write. Just say nothing and maybe she will go away. But, the more everyone talks about her ,the more she appears to make an entrance into our everyday media. Keep talking everyone and be miserable. This is all I have to say

lance king   December 2nd, 2008 7:01 pm ET

How is it possible that the media keeps covering this person? However, I want to thank them because if she is the frontrunner for the GOP they are going to be waiting to be in the white house for a very long time…

doruradu   December 2nd, 2008 6:51 pm ET

Sarah Palin can not go away because of you, people who hate her. Who asked you to read her saying? … Obama was declared genius by media, analysts and movie stars, before doing anything. The press itself recognized it was biased with him. Bush, and now Palin, were both declared idiots from the begining. Were people in Texas and Alaska idiots when they elected them governors? If the "sublect" were Biden or Hilary there would be much less commentaries. Why? Because they were genial individuals when they both declared Obama not ready and dangerous… and now, they are brilliant choices to serve the president. Why? Campain is over! It's time to get serious about the country! Because before they were just joking…

Christine   December 2nd, 2008 6:50 pm ET

Gloria Borger is on CNN right now saying that Sarah Palin is a star!!!What is with CNN's pundits dumming it down on Palin's behalf. If Palin is in fact the star of the Republican party, they will never get back to the White House. I cannot wait for her language skills to go up against the articulate eloquence of Obama. It will be hilarious. She can't even string a coherent sentence together, let alone come up with an original thought. She needs to go back to Alaska and hibernate!

Jerry   December 2nd, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Sarah Palin's attendance of six years of five colleges inbetween three states makes her dumb. She still talks like she is in a debate. Please, someone shut her up already!!!

Put a fork in Palin. We're all sick of her and don't need that kind of two-faced ignorance in our government.

Trish   December 2nd, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Ah you really gotta LOVE it. You those on the far right moaning and crying that Democrats and the left are always picking on Sarah Palin. They are AFRAID of Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin in 2012!! Well if I recall the end of the campaign correctly is was her OWN people that were calling her out, talking about her, and saying all types of trashy things about her. The left and the Dems didn't need to! So you Palin supporters that complain about the "hate" on the left need look no further than your own backyard. It's true what they say that the "GOP eats it own young!"

TheNewGenerationGOP….lol lol lol thanks for the laugh.

The problem with your little analogy is that in 2006 Obama was a Harvard grad, former President of the Harvard law review and teaching constitutional law at Harvard. Im not sure if you graduated from high school but I think his back ground gave him a real good chance of becoming the next President.

If, in 2006, Obama was a clown, fumbled over his words and was incoherent most of the time, he would not have been called back to take out the garbage. Only the land of the GOP is such a person asked to run the country.

If I were Obama I wouldn't come within a mile of that hateful, slandering, egotist! He will, however, because he is intellegent and a gentleman.
Dah! Did she just figure out "It's the economy, Stupid"? She didn't want to talk about that during the campahn because she knew Nada about it. How she ever made Govenor I'll never know and I certainly don't believe she did many wonderful things for Alaska!
No, I wouldn't give her the time of day. I'd like to see her bash Hillary like she did Obama. Then's when she would really get egg on her face!
She said on the campaign trail she tried to tell people Govenors knew best about the economy. I DON'T THINK SO! She did more bashing than telling!

Chuck, your words are truest of true. I don't understand it either. It seems like the repubs find higher education to be a bad thing. I shuddered to hear the former secretary opf education, Bill Bennett, literally sneer that only some people listen to intellectuals. I think they (repubs) want people to be stupid so they can get away with more.

just more double-speak and ignorance from Palin. first she hires a lobbyist to secure earmarks for her town, then after getting nailed on the Bridge to Nowhere, was against too much spending by the gov't.

now, she wants less spending by the gov't when an overwhelming number of economists agree that the only way to get out of this recession to spend our way out.

Sue T   December 2nd, 2008 5:53 pm ET

The only ones that are showing up to see her are the far rightwing conservatives…….the religous right……that isn't going to be enough to vote her in as President……she is not the answer to the Republican ticket and the sooner the Republicans realize this the better off they will be……she will make it possible for Obama again in 2012……….

Daryl from Seattle   December 2nd, 2008 5:50 pm ET

I've never seen a politician who is just as difficult to understand when you hear their comments as when you read them. WHY is she such a celebrity amongst some Republican circles?? I just don't see it or get it. Is it because she's considered attractive? Is it that annoying voice? Is it because she doesn't make any sense when discussing national policy? My goodness. Someone PLEASE make me understand her appeal.

Only in America can a totally unqualified person (she can't even speak in coherent sentences) be considered a possible leader of our country. It's boggles the mind and sends the absolute wrong message to our children and the rest of the world. Come on America, we have to be better than that! We're not THAT stupid, are we?

Matt   December 2nd, 2008 5:48 pm ET

I like to use Sarah's poor English as a teaching tool for my kids.

It also teaches them about their civic responsibility, as well as, the reasons that Sarah is not presidential material.

It's getting tiring though. I do wish she would go away now as they've already learned about media ratings.

Alan   December 2nd, 2008 5:42 pm ET

"“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these."

– Sarah Palin

Presidential? Hardly! Re-read this sentence s-l-o-w-l-y. Huh? Wha?

Sorry, Repubs. You're not hearing hatred. You're hearing the truth. Sarah Palin is incapable of stringing more than a sentence together in a row and make sense doing it. I can get that at the local pub. I want more for my president.

Nancy   December 2nd, 2008 5:38 pm ET

To "the new GOP," to be frank, you sound stupid in the way you talk about Sarah Palin. Getting madder makes you stronger? Why don't you instead tell us why you think Palin is qualified to lead this nation? Especially in times like this? If you really think that she is qualified, I have to wonder about your education and background and/or if you are just blinded by your conservative social views? Her having those views like you are simply NOT enough to make her capable of handling the serious problems are country is solving. It takes BRAINs and also good communication skills. She might be "bright" I have no idea, but she cannot express herself clearly.

Jim D   December 2nd, 2008 5:36 pm ET

She is Bush Jr – she can't even string together a coherent thought, much less a coherent sentence:

Nancy   December 2nd, 2008 5:33 pm ET

The nasty comments were NOT mutual! And if she thinks they are forgiven by Obama or other Democrats she is wrong. She cannot appeal to all of America and therefore she has zero chance of being on the national stage in an important job. She also has a way of saying NOTHING. She needs to educate herself about many things including basic English grammar, world geography and issues before even considering a run for anything out of Alaska. Winks and getting racist crowds angry aren't going to do it.

Andrea/ CA   December 2nd, 2008 5:32 pm ET

To Kim J. I think Palin started the hate stuff in her campain. You/ We all need to get over it and work together and make this country great again. Hate and bad feelings will get us nowhere. I mean Obama welcomed her and the rest of Gov. he got over it. It is time to move on to bigger and better things and not dwell in the past. I hope we are all
capabale of that.

You people are so funny. Why in gods name are you so scared of Sarah Palin that you have to slam her, call he names, call her stupid.

I think it is funny that she can create such a response from all of you Sarah haters.

I did not vote for Obama, nor do I still believe he is worthy for the office of President. But he won, I will not argue or dispute that fact. I do not agree with his ideas, nor do I agree with his plan of action. But I do not call him stupid, ask him to go away, or even insult him. But you people and Sarah are like small children, making fun of her on the schoolyard. Grow up people.

I bet your the same group of people who worship the ground Obama will ever walk on. You are so immature in your thinking, all you can see is someone you like to insult.

What are you afraid off? Are you scared this woman does really have a brain, can maybe challenge the Democratic party, as well as her own Republican party.

Mike Ft Collins , CO   December 2nd, 2008 5:09 pm ET

I don't think Palin can show one time where Barack Obama said anything negative about her during the campaign. On the other hand she was trashing him from the time she was introduced. She is living in a dream world and if the GOP is looking to her as their future I think that Democrats will increase their power and remain in power for a long period of time.

The reason we want Sarah to go away is that it's an insult to our intelligence to ever consider her presidential material. I don't want a bigoted, unintelligent, superficial person as my President.

OBAMA IS DOING A GREAT JOB NOW AND WAIT TIL HE'S PRESIDENT – NOBODY ELSE COULD HAVE COME CLOSE TO HIS ABILITIES OR TEMPERAMENT.\\

Palin – go take care of Alaska and your family and leave us alone………………………………………..PLEASE!

Tim in Seattle   December 2nd, 2008 4:55 pm ET

I wish she could string together a sentence in something other than grade school grammer..

Seattle   December 2nd, 2008 4:54 pm ET

Thats funny SHE thinks she is going to run for president in 2012. She has a very low IQ. She represents all THAT is going wrong with this country. The duming down of americans started on the east coast now spreading west. Seattle and San Fransisco is all this country has left for progressive cities with a high percentage educated population. SHE IS NOT SMART.

carol   December 2nd, 2008 4:54 pm ET

The jabs were not mutual. She had the "dirty mouth."

Pam   December 2nd, 2008 4:53 pm ET

Just go away!!!!

Denise Bolin   December 2nd, 2008 4:53 pm ET

Chuck – I couldn't have said it better. Her commentary of issues is that of a 7th grader. Can the Republicans be serious? They have Jindahl, Crist and several others whose intelligence leaves Palin in the dust. Media prejudice? I think they should stop talking with or about that lying, self-serving barbie doll.

GO HOME SARAH PALIN – YOU LOST AND WE WERE HOPING TO NEVER SEE OR HEAR YOU AGAIN.

Dumber & Dumber?   December 2nd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

Now that Alaskans have been able to see their Governor in action on the national stage, lets see how smart they are when it comes to her re-election as Governor. If Alaskans give her a second term, than we know the majority of Alaska is dumb like Palin.

Shayna   December 2nd, 2008 4:51 pm ET

Does anyone know what this woman is actually saying? Her sentences are like an endless maze that goes nowhere…

You people need a life   December 2nd, 2008 4:50 pm ET

Do any of you have any thing substantive to add? Or do you just have silly barbs and attacks, most of which are just hackneyed hate-bombs.

bababear   December 2nd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

Sarah REALLY likes the lower 48. How ya gonna keep em down on the farm………?

Miller   December 2nd, 2008 4:49 pm ET

So, she thinks that federal government spending is a major concern of governor's? Is she completely stupid? She just can't go without saying those words, apparently. Doesn't she realize that a state has its own budget, and that increased federal spending would only HELP her balance her budget? I guess that she doesn't realize that she has these things called "state taxes" that she can increase in order to raise money for her state. It never ceases to amaze me in how ignorant this woman truly is…also, it doesn't seem like she cares much for Alaska anymore, since she has spent about an hour there since the election. Go home Sarah, and get someone to tudor you on government, please!!!

Carol   December 2nd, 2008 4:47 pm ET

I believe she's using a random word generator for her responses.

Brandon   December 2nd, 2008 4:46 pm ET

“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these."

That is not a sentence.

Bert, MO   December 2nd, 2008 4:46 pm ET

She looks like she's taking a dump.

canadian pov   December 2nd, 2008 4:46 pm ET

Just imagine if she was in and Biden was out. Every night I go to sleep so thankful that the smart, reasonable, tolerant people triumphed. Palin is just to uninformed, intellectually shallow and narrow minded to lead a country as diverse as the US in this modern world. Obama is putting together a team of smart people but McCain showed he depth of any team he would put together when he picked a low volt like Palin.

I don't recall any democrats attacking her for her and her husband palling around with the AIP so I am not sure what she means when she says it was coming from both sides. I doubt the Obama speeches resulted in any threats to her or her family. She is a star in her own orbit and its spinning out of our galaxy for now….

Frieda, PA   December 2nd, 2008 4:45 pm ET

This guppy is no barracuda.

least educated, least diverse, least tolerant people in the country? Come on now Chuck, name calling makes you no better than Sarah Palin yourself.

Gene   December 2nd, 2008 4:41 pm ET

I love how she equates herself as accusing Obama of being a terrorist supporter and socialist with the "jabs" that were thrown back at her. Wait a second… what jabs? Can anyone here really recall the Obama campaign saying anything negative about Palin? Yeah.. they attacked McCain for his voting record, comparing him to Bush… they attacked some of his gaffs.. but that's far cry from accusing someone of being unpatriotic, hating the country, or palling around with terrorists"

Beth   December 2nd, 2008 4:41 pm ET

Why was my comment not posted? One more try….

Palin says:

“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these."

It is obvious that Palin has much work to do…her command of the English language is simply not there.

Change   December 2nd, 2008 4:40 pm ET

The jabs were not mutual. The main stream media did Obama's dirty work. Increasing spending to create government jobs is not the answer. Stop the bailout now before it is to late!

Mag   December 2nd, 2008 4:38 pm ET

Go away already, Palin – you just keep blowing hot air. You talk about Gov spending , but what do you want to do about the millions of state employees loosing their jobs? Oh hard luck for them, but you continue to give out gov $$$ to Alskans!

Beth   December 2nd, 2008 4:38 pm ET

TheNewGenerationGOP…she's your hope for what? For people who can't speak or type English. Well then…Sarah IS your girl!!

Good grief!

Your reference to Palin as "dangerous" was right on the mark. Well done.

reginald smith fairfax va   December 2nd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

WHEN WAS IT MUTUAL THAT obama said or biden said anything negative or disrespectful about her . again the media did not challenge her!!!!!!!! she made a statement with no facts to back it up. and the media let her slide .

campbell brown where is ur discust with this ??????

Cathy Brandes   December 2nd, 2008 4:35 pm ET

I would love to know what "mutual jabs" she is referring to! This woman time after time encouraged the hateful responses heard at her rallies and did nothing! To The New GenerationGOP – you should really look to Gov. Pawlenty, Jindahl and Crist for your direction and leave Gov Palin where she belongs – in Alaska and far away from Washington. This is not the hope you should be looking for!

Laverne   December 2nd, 2008 4:34 pm ET

Chuck in LA   December 2nd, 2008 4:33 pm ET

I would really really really like a Republican to explain to me why they think that the least educated, least diverse, and least tolerant people in this country are the ones who know what's best not just for the US, but for the entire world.

Beth   December 2nd, 2008 4:32 pm ET

I swear, this woman makes my skin crawl. Why oh why is she still making news?! I just want ONE day where I don't have to see her silly mug, or hear something stupid she said.

She lost…it's over…please be done with this train wreck.

Ruth   December 2nd, 2008 4:29 pm ET

Are the people of Alaska so stupid as to keep this idiot in office. IMPEACH sounds like a great solution.

Surlance Alot   December 2nd, 2008 4:28 pm ET

John McCain made, at the time, in August 2008, what was, at best a questionable choice to add Governor Palin to the ticket, but the real tragedy is twofold: A. He was a smart, honorable man who only wanted to do what was right by his country, also known as the USA or the place from whence he came originally, meaning in the first place, and 2. She lost the election, whereby the people voted, by which I mean the people who voted for the other candidate, the one from Illinois, and then McCain lost the election. Therefore, Alaska has bountiful resources. Come open us up and find out what's inside, kind of like one of Forrest Gump's chocolates. Alaska has all the keys to solving all of the world's… GOOD LORD! ARE YOU STILL READING THIS??? Someone stick a fork in her… she's DONE – like a fart in a bottle… POINTLESS!

Len   December 2nd, 2008 4:28 pm ET

FreeNlovit : Economics 101 – Increase govt spending does 1 thing and one thing only…it put us in debt. The govt CANNOT CREATE WEALTH because we foot the bill. Govt merely moves money around in a wasteful manner.

The govt doesn't create jobs. Businesses and the free market do and they don't do it when increased taxes are in the future. History continually proves this.

Bush got half the equation right with the tax cuts. He dropped the ball on spending. Both sides of Congress let it happen and they're doubling down on it with these bailouts.

LaJuan   December 2nd, 2008 4:25 pm ET

Seriously, what is she talking about? This woman was a news anchor (and a VP candidate!)? She can't speak in coherent sentences! I hope, for the GOP's sake, that her "supporters" wake up and realize that she's leading them down a path of ruin – moreso than her current party leaders already have. We've already learned the horrible consequences of electiing a "beer buddy" for President – she makes GWB seem like a lightweight. When did being ignorant become cool? YIKES!

DebM, Allentown, PA   December 2nd, 2008 4:18 pm ET

Cmon CNN…Your comment is awaiting moderation.

“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these."

Ron Canada.   December 2nd, 2008 4:17 pm ET

If you think she is hard to listen to and follow. Try closed caption.
I am stunned to think that the Republican Party would even think of her as the next President. Then again look at the last eight years.

David in West Virginia   December 2nd, 2008 4:16 pm ET

Sarah, darling, Presidents want Governors who has common sense in their administration. Conservatives know you could be manhandled if you were ever to be President because, let's face it, you are dumber than a sled dog. At least they can lead!

sunshine   December 2nd, 2008 4:15 pm ET

Please! Palin is so potent as a candidate and speaker, dems are terrified of her. McCain trailed in every poll from May 08. After Palin arrived McCain jumped into a lead of 4 points. Obama was helpless. He disintegrated over two weeks unable to formulate a response; finally uttered a cry for help when he called her "a pig with lipstick". What a pathetic coward. I'm sure his therapist could see his cry for help. So he got help. He clung to his tele-prompter security blanket for the rest of the campaign. He only regained a lead when the worst economic crisis since the 1930's struck. Lucky guy.. but still a coward.

Margie   December 2nd, 2008 4:14 pm ET

Sarah please go back to Alaska.

Lost in Texas FOREVER   December 2nd, 2008 4:14 pm ET

To call a guy a pal of terroroist, a socialist, and allow at her rallies the names :tratior", "kill him", and Lord know what other names were called then look him in the face and shake his hand HAD to take guts! Gov Palin said there were negative things said on both sides, but I don't recall Obama saying such things about Palin….he even said her family was "off limits" when the press tried to make an issue about her daughter. I do recall Biden saying something about her but it wasn't the name-calling I heard on her side. Well that's politics I guess. Everything is all lovey-dovey now!

Darko   December 2nd, 2008 4:12 pm ET

"Will someone please translate and I'm not trying to insult her!"

- More borrowing and spending is not the solution to excessive borrowing and spending.

We all know this, but apparently Congress and the current and future President do not.

I agree, she shouldn't be the figurehead of a new GOP, but don't discount her when she does speak common sense.

Steph   December 2nd, 2008 4:10 pm ET

Any news on what the other governors had to say? I would prefer to hear from some of them for a change. They have to be more articulate.

Kim   December 2nd, 2008 4:09 pm ET

Farrell, Houston, Tx   December 2nd, 2008 4:07 pm ET

It's over Palin and Palin isn't qualified to serve in Obama's cabinet or anyone elses cabinet with no education; the governors that have been appointed are highly educated. Now Obama is going to find out what Palin doesn't know when she submits her State's budget, this should be interesting.

jfs Memhis, Tn   December 2nd, 2008 4:06 pm ET

I am really insulted that the Party of Reagan, Eisenhower, T. Roosevelt, and Lincoln would not only run a candidate as this young women as VP least but consider her as a Presidential Candidate. My family has been Republican since 1856 …as of 2004 not one of my family has voted Republican. You all have lost contact with reality and the Average voter. You need to look at Sen's Snow or Collins for women leaders and Romney on the male side for the future. They will guide you folks BACK from the far right. Plus… they read, are well traveled, and have advanced degrees that are not Liberal Arts. Please give us moderates a choice again

Gov. Palin is a disgrace. She needs to learn that if she wants respect as a leader she better start showing some back and she can start with showing some to the incoming President. Please make her go away until she can act like an adult in a grown-up world and think before she opens that sarcastic, disrespectful mouth of hers.

"Obama should be so proud of his hate spewing followers."

No one has ever spewed as much hatred as Sarah Palin has during the campaign and continues to spew in support of Georga's Senatorial race.

You can't spew racist, divisive damaging lies over and over and over for two months and not have some of the venom thrown back at you.

Get over it. One MAJOR difference: Palin IS an idiot. Just read her quotes in the above article. She can't compose sentences in her brain! But she thinks she can run for president because she's governor of a state where she rarely lives any more because she's so busy enjoying her new-found stardom.

johnvet   December 2nd, 2008 4:03 pm ET

So Sarah, Increased spending? Hmm.

How about 10 billion dollars a month going to the war in Iraq and 75% of it GOING TO THE IRAQ GOVERNMENT (NOT OUR TROOPS).

Our deficit has gone out the roof and they have a surplus.

Sure, let's focus on what Obama wants to spend in the US on the US people, because that is really much worse than spending it over there!!

By the way Sarah, Iraq being the country a bit further away than Russia; you probably can't see it from you house.

obama-mama   December 2nd, 2008 4:03 pm ET

I just read that Sarah Palin is neglecting her Governor's duties in Alaska to be a movie star. If her State is complaining about her just imagine her family and her special needs baby. This is more of the same Palin Derangement Syndrome on display. You people really should seek help. I've heard of a clinic in NY that has worked wonders with Electro Convulsive Therapy and insulin induced comas. You all should try it before you go off the deep end and start actually writing things that make sense. Of course we all know that obama voters didn't even know which party controls congress, and had never heard of Barney Frank and Nancy Polosi.

Oh, by the way, I guess Janet Napolitano got the Secretary of Homeland Security from obama because he thought the fact that she can see Mexico from her house was good enough.

Harold   December 2nd, 2008 3:51 pm ET

It is very simple for Gov Palin. Don't request any ear marks or federal funds for her State. Make sure her State does not hire or have lobbyist on the State payroll. She can then have that as her 2012 platform and we will see if it gets her elected.
Maybe she will hire Karl Rove as her campaign manager which would be fun and entertaining.
For now, I am like most, please Gov. Palin drift away back to the far north. You are currently not relevant in most of the lower 48.

Kim J   December 2nd, 2008 3:43 pm ET

Obama should be so proud of his hate spewing followers.

Melody   December 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm ET

What..in..the..world is she talking about? There is no value to her statements and they sound like a bunch of mismatched thoughts. Her sentence structure and vocabulary annoy me to no end. Please stop…please just stop talking to the press, cause it's painful and it hurts my head.

Gloria - Minnesota   December 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm ET

Did all 50 governors attend this meeting?? If so, they had 49 other people to choose from for this interview. Why couldn't an intelligent, understandable, grammatically correct governor been quoted?? I'm sure the media just wanted to hear what Sarah Palin's take on this meeting was due to the fact that she & John McCain were defeated so badly by the Obama/Biden ticket.

You notice that she is still whining about her defeat. Ha! (Wish she'd just get used to it and Go Away For Good!!!)

mikee   December 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm ET

hey nikka i feel you on your comment. i never understan her either, and the look on her face i think she confused herself…lmao…

weequahic68   December 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm ET

i love it when the press quotes her exactly……….shows how really dopey she trully is.

Jim   December 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm ET

I think it is time for all of us to do what the President-elect has, and put the campaign behind us. That means stopping the petty personal attacks against people simply because we disagree with their politics. The campaign is over; let’s come together as a nation again, as our new President is asking us to.

mel from ohio   December 2nd, 2008 3:41 pm ET

WHAT??? The economic crisis may have been caused by too much debt? HEEELLLLPPPP!! Please give us a 6 months break from hearing this woman speak. Of course, her transcripts would be good worksheets for school children to correct and re-organize in a way that makes sense. Please go home Sarah Palin and tend to your State and your children!!!!

foscoehounddog   December 2nd, 2008 3:41 pm ET

Palin's no longer "news." CNN- it's your news cycle that gives her hope. There is no hope. If you (CNN) get off her, let her go back to op-presently important job, here only exposure will be on her own blog, if she's learned what that means.

the dog

bobb dobbs   December 2nd, 2008 3:40 pm ET

Hey liberals, the election is over. Put your hate to rest for a while.

BBB   December 2nd, 2008 3:40 pm ET

She confuses me! She is the epitome of a politician though… talk and talk and talk – but say anything that matters!

Vicki5   December 2nd, 2008 3:40 pm ET

PALIN SAYS: When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these. This is going to be a matter of re-prioritizing federal dollars though and putting them to use in the wisest fashion for taxpayers, for constituents.

Case in point….

Peter (CA)   December 2nd, 2008 3:40 pm ET

NOW she is worried about debt. While we've been spending 10 billion a month in Iraq and putting it on a credit card from the First Bank of China, debt wasn't an issue?

Go back to Alaska, Sarah. Oil is at $60 a barrel and your revenues are beginning to dry up. Go do the job Alaskans elected you to do.

Lisa (PA)   December 2nd, 2008 3:39 pm ET

Unbelievable!!!!

Will she not stay in Alaska?

Lisa   December 2nd, 2008 3:38 pm ET

When will this AIR HEAD stop talking and saying stupid things? Oh, wait, everything she says is stupid. I wish the media would quit beating this story line, NO ONE CARES what the moose hunter has to say. Make her stop and just go away!!!!

Lisa V   December 2nd, 2008 3:38 pm ET

Hmm, someone just said in reference to Chambliss, for the past 5 days, they had gotten on average 5 robocalls per day with the GOP trashing Martin and Obama. Sounds like Republicans are all for this new bipartisianship to me!

sam   December 2nd, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Go home Palin to your FIVE kids, thats the greatest job anyone can have. You are too stupid to be President, I don't know how you became governor in the first place.
Alaska, do yourself a favor and vote this lady OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know it   December 2nd, 2008 3:37 pm ET

Oh, my bag. She's talking about the governors that President O.B. did put in the cabinet. Thank God she is not one of them!

How long do we have to contend with this crazy whacko?
She's the freakin' Gov. of Alaska. Let the Alaskans deal with her!

Godluvr   December 2nd, 2008 3:36 pm ET

Gov. Palin:

The REAL election is over! I think it's time you got back to work, and earned the salary and perks you are receiving from you constituents!

If you insist on being a celebrity; tallk to boring Huckabee, he'll share some pointers!

P.S. What about doing God's work; helping the poor and needy, visiting the sick, praying?

al   December 2nd, 2008 3:36 pm ET

you will people are absolutely ridiculous, if you want to blame palin for bush's policies then let's blame obama for jfk cheating on his wife, all demcorats are not the same and either are all republicans, she IS an effective governor, end of story, maybe not the best choice for president but she is most certainly one of the most effective and influential governors in the country

silver bells   December 2nd, 2008 3:35 pm ET

i don't wish bad for this person, but calling president elect obama a terriost and putting his life in danger, i can't just look over this, please stop with this coverage lets focus on our country. palin is a racist, it's ovious.

AEJ - Miami   December 2nd, 2008 3:35 pm ET

I personally think the media will never stop reporting on this woman because they all think she is stupid. And so they mocked her. Poor woman.

ltva   December 2nd, 2008 3:35 pm ET

So now she is the spokesperson for all the state governors? Please can this woman get over herself and go back to Alaska and do her jobas governor -for which she was elected. I say it for the last time Palin is not and will never be a politician on the national level. Her being elected governor of Alaska was a fluke and I am sure the good people of Alaska will not make the same mistake in 2010. She is an entertainment piece. The sooner she realizes her limitations and take her place as a talk show host or the maybe the next Sean Hannity, the better off we will all be. Good grief ! enough is enough!!!

Lucy   December 2nd, 2008 3:35 pm ET

Santa, my one XMAS wish is that you super glue Sarah Palin's mouth shut.

Shander   December 2nd, 2008 3:34 pm ET

What a lightweight this person is

Oh Brother   December 2nd, 2008 3:34 pm ET

It's amazing that she is still allowed to use words… when time and time again she only proves to be a self serving basket case who rambles …

HappyAmerican   December 2nd, 2008 3:34 pm ET

I wish the media would let Gov. Palin fade into the Alaskan darkness. I also wish that Sarah would either zip the lips or learn English. How did she make it through college?

I especially "so appreciated" it when she said "the election is over" and two seconds later brought it up. I guess she always talks out of both sides of her mouth.

you know it   December 2nd, 2008 3:34 pm ET

You mean to tell me that all the governors are part of President Obama's cabinet. I can't understand how this woman won in Alaska. It is amazing how she is taking all the spotlight from all the would be grand ole party boys nominees of 2012. Republicans please pick her for the next election!

MsBingo   December 2nd, 2008 3:33 pm ET

God luv her, she just keeps yapping and cons keep eating it up.

Monroe W. DeVos   December 2nd, 2008 3:33 pm ET

It appears that she didn't get that "photo op" she was probably looking for with President-elect Obama. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to see how she was probably trying to wheedle herself to the front of the line…..!

Again…more inane comments that really didn't lead to anywhere. What a bozo.

Dee   December 2nd, 2008 3:32 pm ET

I need them to stop making it appear that she is the HEAD of the GOP…who cares that she "appreciated" them meeting with the governors..they were going to do that anyway…geesh….

deb in Colo   December 2nd, 2008 3:32 pm ET

"brushing aside ‘unflattering’ comments" ???

Seriously? She was the only one making them….

REG in AZ   December 2nd, 2008 3:32 pm ET

Being a governor doesn't come close to overcoming Sarah Palin's shortcomings. Sarah Palin is a real personification of what is wrong with a large segment of the Republican Party today. As she has clearly and repeatedly demonstrated she is arrogant and brazen, she is bold and aggressive, she is totally self-focused and grossly dishonest, she is a phony and a taker, she is sociopathic (without any conscience) and she will say/do whatever she thinks is to her advantage, and besides all of that she is vastly under qualified and just couldn’t care less. Those who tout, support and are trying to sell her to America literally want her to be their next puppet, to have her continue where GWBush left off. The Republican Party needs to honestly become more centrist, moderate and responsible to all of the people, without so much subterfuge and concentration on Special Interests. We the voters need to demand that.

Heather in SoCal   December 2nd, 2008 3:32 pm ET

What a whiner she is.

arc, Lugano CH   December 2nd, 2008 3:31 pm ET

Palin, the Princess of America's Uneducated Poor White Trash.

The global media and much of the world were laughing at Sarah Palin for being such a whipped government mule for the McCain campaign.

Palin's Klan rallies sadly showed the true colors of conservative America.

A. Rohani   December 2nd, 2008 3:31 pm ET

Can a day go by without us having to hear about this moron? Why won't she go back to alaska and dig a hole, or shoot a wolf, or anything else that wouldn't annoy the rest of the country so much.

diyosaph, IL   December 2nd, 2008 3:30 pm ET

If I may ask Ms. Palin, of the huge deficit expected, what percentage is attibutable to her party?

Leah DiMarco, Texas   December 2nd, 2008 3:30 pm ET

Bush and the republicans spent BILLIONS getting America into debt and now Palin is worried about Obama spending money – that is hilarious!

At least when Obama spends money it will be for the 'good' of America!

Darlene   December 2nd, 2008 3:30 pm ET

Pat in IL   December 2nd, 2008 3:29 pm ET

Nikka, you're not alone. I can read and reread everything she says, but still not get her point. It's worse than bad English – it's a total disconnected thought/speech process that I just don't get.

C'mon!   December 2nd, 2008 3:29 pm ET

This woman's inability to speak a single coherent sentence is fascinating. How does she do it?

Sweetie   December 2nd, 2008 3:29 pm ET

Go Sarah…………..

You are the New Voice of America…..

We Love and Need you!

Mike Philly   December 2nd, 2008 3:29 pm ET

Why is anyone still talking about her? From the time McCain announced her, she was a joke. (Literally. I laughed. I was sitting in a Midas shop, frustrated at how long they were taking and when the news broke in and announced her, I laughed out loud. It made my day.)

In the following months, she only made the joke funnier by making a fool of herself repeatedly and by obviously torpedo-ing what slim chances John McCain had.

So unless the articles are going to be funny–in other words, furthering the joke–can we please, PLEASE stop flashing a spotlight on this woman? Seriously. ENOUGH.

Tulsa   December 2nd, 2008 3:29 pm ET

mary,
LOL…. brilliant observation.

Sarah Palin at Governors' meeting with Obama   December 2nd, 2008 3:28 pm ET

Taking the first opportunity to meet with President Elect was a wise decision. Sarah Palin and other Republican governors are shedding crocodile tears when it comes to deficit financing when their own Republican President put the country into Trillions Dollars deficit from Surplus. Got the country into two wars which resulted in death of 4000+ soldiers. Instead of seeking peace, you keep mongering for victory.

Georgia Gal   December 2nd, 2008 3:28 pm ET

"Palin replied that the jabs were “mutual.”"

Uh … no they weren't. Obama & Biden all but ignored her.

Reg - Lancaster, PA   December 2nd, 2008 3:28 pm ET

There were 40 other governors there. What did they have to say? Why just target her? Who cares about this goofball?

Seriously   December 2nd, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Is it me does she looks like someone told her to stop posturing for 2012 in this photo? I am glad Biden nailed it today, telling her to basically lay off the media and political posturing for 2012.

It is the face of a bursted bubble, a face of defeat. Keep showing those pictures CNN. catalog her ignorance for the 2012 election. I want to see her try backpeddling out of this… She continues to say the attacks were mutal… Did Obama call her out on her connections to the Alaska Independence Party… Did he say " Sarah Palin is paling around with AIP people"… no… it was not in his character. She has no sense of character and it is the reason McCain lost his election so badly…

hugh ~ california   December 2nd, 2008 3:27 pm ET

Sarah Palin should be a game show host, then maybe the media will stop following her around where ever she goes. She could fill in for Vanna White–she wouldn't even have to speak, just point with her fingers and smile! Most Americans are tired of hearing about Sarah Palin. Isn't there more important topics to discuss in this "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" that we live in today?

GA Independent   December 2nd, 2008 3:27 pm ET

It's a mystery why she continually reminds everyone how what she said in the past didn't work… Intelligent people want to remind everyone how what they said or did WAS the RIGHT thing to do….

BrendaF, Mesquite, TX   December 2nd, 2008 3:27 pm ET

This woman is speaking in tongues again! What is this, Palin Phrase Speak? She appears to think the more words she uses the more important and intelligent she appears.

She needs to stop shoveling the moose manure in the barn, the fumes are obviously causing her to hallucinate.

IDK   December 2nd, 2008 3:26 pm ET

I don't understand why, after this rigorous election, Gov. Palin is unable or unwilling to put together a more coherent sentence in which to present her views. I hope the press continues to quote her accurately, to do otherwise would be a disservice.

Nick   December 2nd, 2008 3:25 pm ET

PALIN GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What good ideas is she known for?! NONE! She is a very emotional angry person that just loves attention. Oh and for those wondering how we will get out of this economy slump. The same say we got out of the last great depression – WAR.

Carlos   December 2nd, 2008 3:25 pm ET

Hey Sarah the go back to Alaska and keep an eye on Russia. They know you are out traveling and they might come.

unhipcat   December 2nd, 2008 3:24 pm ET

The "jabs" were "mutual"? Can this woman be any more clueless?

Susan L.   December 2nd, 2008 3:23 pm ET

She's still a nut. The "jabs" were never mutual. Obama and Biden bent over backwards to avoid saying anything untoward about her. The press and everyone else took care of pointing out what a complete moron the woman is. On the flip side, though, her speech was very borderline in regard to inciting race hatred. The woman is beyond the pale. However, I hope the Republicans do run this pretty idiot. Her loss would be well beyond catastrophic as she brings nothing to the table except for that old GOP standy — McCarthyism.

Sean P. Seattle, WA   December 2nd, 2008 3:23 pm ET

phyllis   December 2nd, 2008 3:21 pm ET

I notice every time CNN writes any article on Gov. Palin, the article always gets more comments than any of their stories. Wonder why? And for the most part 99% of them are negative comments. Wonder why? If all of you 'left wing democrats' truly believes she's an idiot, as you say, why do you comment constantly? Wonder why?

DJ   December 2nd, 2008 3:20 pm ET

Weird. Her quotes are shorter here. Still don't make any sense, but they're shorter. Maybe she's making an effort to ramble less.

"unflattering’ comments made by both tickets during the campaign"

she was a such divider and hate spreader during the campaign! unflattering is a mild word for her comments
I just hope Alaska like Utah don't get help from Washington. It would be unfair if she could build her bridge to nowhere! Here in Utah the situation of many families is very bad but the LDS managed the votes. Now they have to live with their votes and live the republican way: no health insurance, a lot of foreclosures, poverty up.

To stay sane, Obama needs to stop looking at the stock market and stop measuring success by the stock market. He needs to do what he has been called to do – forge a plan for long-term growth. If you build a solid foundation, we will survive. The important point is jobs, jobs, jobs and peoplel will buy and the stocks will go up… it's jobs.. jobs.. jobs…

How many governors do we have????? I know the answer to this, but I want to hear from other states besides Alaska. Move on people, if she is going to run in 2012, have her start thinking outside "her" box.

Jon   December 2nd, 2008 3:13 pm ET

Why is she talking about the economy when it's so very obvious she has no idea what she's talking about? Our current problems were caused by too much debt? What a vast and unfortunate generalization.

Mary   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

Does she ever speak in a manner that you can understand what she says?

Obama/Biden are grown-ups, being next to them must clearly highlight that she is in no way prepared for a national office.

Let's give her her wish of no debt incurred for Alaska. They do not need a stimulus to their economy, I guess. Fine- cut them off!

Governor Palin, please go back to Alaska. Your 15 minutes are up!

gurarro   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

Is the only governor who can speak to the media? Please, her 15 minutes need to be up.

Tulsa   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

What, exactly, did Obama or Biden say that was "unflattering" about Palin? As I recall, the Obama campaign went out of it's way to NOT mention anything about Palin's ties to questionable groups, quirky religious ceremonies and abuses of power.

Read that last paragraph….excuse me, SENTENCE! Good grief! At least she could learn a little bit about the English language!

Or, here's a thought, maybe she could learn something about economics. The LAST thing you want to do if you are trying to create jobs is try and balance the budget. First you get jobs for people, then tighten your belt. This is BASIC economics people!

As many Democrats who have posted here, I would be glad to have Sarah Palin run in 2012.

freddie   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

She just can't let it go can she….I'm sure there were much more qualified Repub governors you could have talked to CNN??? I can't follow a word she says.

Sue in MI   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

Sorry, Sarah, but I don't remember Obama or Biden making an "unflattering" comment about you. Never. THE COMMENTS CAME WHEN THE MEDIA BEGAN TO RESEARCH YOU, BLOGGERS EVEN MORE, AND THEN THINGS GOT UGLY FAST. You, on the other hand, could barely get through a sentence without calling Obama some absurd name or other. Remember those rallies where they were calling out "lynch him?" You caused that; you encouraged that; you smiled at that. I do hope that IF the Republicans decide to keep you around, you have learned from the experience and will try to tell what you believe and what you would do, instead of being so negative and mean all the time. Not flattering, and doesn't work. You lost any respect you might have had going in when you started lying at the convention (we haven't forgotten about your bridge remarks) and things went downhill from there. You came off as nothing more than an attack dog for McCain.

One good thing about living in the 21st Century is the fact that we have SCIENCE at our fingertips. We have so many ways and options to explore the future. The tools and technology is there to grow the economy. So this is really good. The downside is we need to tame GREED.

Heidi From OKC   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

Look at it this way. The governor behind Palin is none other than Brad Henry of Oklahoma. the states last stand against total republican control.

luis   December 2nd, 2008 3:12 pm ET

Palin need to go away…far far away…like alaska so we don't have to hear her dumb-self.

NO PALIN   December 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

CNN — STOP COVERING THIS IDIOT.

Levar Patterson   December 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

I love how Republicans like to say that immigrants that come here should learn english.. but they never require the same from Sarah Palin!

susie   December 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

Why are Obama supporters so mean?

Woodman   December 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

What?!? Her statements are nearly incoherent. Just for fun, someone needs to diagram her sentences from above. What an image…..

willowood   December 2nd, 2008 3:11 pm ET

You know you are right. She won't be going away as long as the media feeds her 'wannabe anything to all of you!' I would love to forget she was ever a candidate for anything and blame McCain for pushing this really bad dream on us. Her quotes, if correct, are incoherent.
Please make her go away by the end of the year.

Willis, TX   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

Palin is not a ROCK STAR — She has ROCKS in her HEAD — DUMB, DUMB!

California Gold   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

Good idea Governor Palin: no more federal dollars for you.

mayah   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

maybe she went to the TASTE OF CHICAGO, outcome a PRESIDENT ELECT, now it's time to go back to Alaska for Moose Stew..

Stupid is as stupid does   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

Just wait. After her daughter has that child, Palin will pop up again. She needs to be helping her daughter make wedding plans.

mary   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

Palin is a Win Win win.The republicans love her.The democrats will never lose to her.And the media gets great ratings from her.Keep her around.

Unshrub   December 2nd, 2008 3:10 pm ET

She can't tell the truth even when she isn't campaigning. The jabs were NOT equal. Obama and Biden DID NOT attack her anywhere close to the terrible things she said about Obama.

FreeNLovIt   December 2nd, 2008 3:09 pm ET

Spending? We bailed out Wall Street (financial industry) without asking for business plans. As long as we dont have any transparency to what had happened to the money that was given out to Wall Street, America will not go anywhere. Why arent these CEOS removed or working for $1.00 like the AUTO CEOS? How come there's no accountabillity with them? We did not punish GREED but we gave more money to GREED. How is GREED supposed to stop destroying America?

Jack Jodell, Minneapolis, MN   December 2nd, 2008 3:09 pm ET

Who cares what Palin has to say? Let's hear from some REAL Governors who aren't prima donnas!

RZA   December 2nd, 2008 3:08 pm ET

Hold up- did she just say the jabs were "mutual"?

So… Obama/Biden callled her a terrorist? A Socialist? Un-American?

Did they ignore their supporters shouts of "kill her" at thier rallies?

Did Obama say "I guess a community organizer is sort of like a small-town mayor , except that you have actual responsibilities"?

This woman is too much…

Wisconsin Vet   December 2nd, 2008 3:08 pm ET

Please Just Shut-up. Go find a Moose to skin or a wolf to chopper hunt and shoot.

You are not the face of the GOP.

Dennis   December 2nd, 2008 3:08 pm ET

CNN, please let Sarah the Clueless fade into the obscurity she so well deserves . . . Please?

GA4OBAMA   December 2nd, 2008 3:08 pm ET

HA! being a governor isn't the only qualification. the governor must also be smart. for example clinton. he was governor of arkansas and a rhodes scholar. we saw how well his presidency was. another example bush. he was governor of texas and a c student. how great of a job did he do with the economy? governors don't always know best.

RollaMO   December 2nd, 2008 3:08 pm ET

Still can't make heads or tails of what she is saying.

SULLY,,, FOREST PARK GA   December 2nd, 2008 3:07 pm ET

I BLAME MCCAIN FOR BRINGING THIS WOMAN OUT OF HER HOLE AND NOW SHE WON'T GO AWAY.
SARAHHHHHH GO AWAY!

Blue is my favourite colour   December 2nd, 2008 3:07 pm ET

Once again, Sarah shows how much of a seasoned public speaker she is. Sarah–shut your ignorant mouth and return to governing the ignorant, cultural backwater in Alaska.

Charlie   December 2nd, 2008 3:06 pm ET

Gov. Palin should stop trying to engage in topics she doesn't know anything about. The popularity contest is over. It is crazy to hear pundits say, that she is a fast learner. Bill O'Reilly even stated that she could be tutored. From what I remember, she was saying that the presidency was no place for OJT. Why are these people KEEP LOWERING the bar so much. Imagine, they expect the country to stand by, and wait for Palin to come up to speed. She would have to enroll in a college and spend at least 8 years to try and keep up. America does not need a person so uninformed, not intellectually inclined and with little intelligence.

Average Joe   December 2nd, 2008 3:06 pm ET

Is she still the Gov. of Alaska ? I think she's now hooked on the lower 48 politics, isn'nt it time to get back to work Sarah ?

Mike   December 2nd, 2008 3:06 pm ET

PALIN IS LIAR, THE JABS WERE THROWN BY HER ALONE , I WISH SHE WOULD JUST GO BACK TO ALASKA AND JUST SHUT HER MOUTH WITH HER STUPID REMARKS..

Barbara in NC   December 2nd, 2008 3:06 pm ET

She still hasn't learned how to form a coherent sentence. Oh My Gosh ! Someone educate her.

Proud to be American   December 2nd, 2008 3:06 pm ET

Please go far, far away Ms. Palin …. PLEASE!!@!!

Dan in Philly   December 2nd, 2008 3:05 pm ET

The woman does not know how to speak the English language. Criminy!

jean   December 2nd, 2008 3:05 pm ET

I'm here [governor] and VP-elect Biden is there [VP],” she said. Thank Heaven for that!

JimII   December 2nd, 2008 3:05 pm ET

This is not a serious person. It is not enough to quote her rambling nonsensical sentences. CNN needs to just stop publishing her words.

AEK   December 2nd, 2008 3:05 pm ET

I understand from my friends in Alaska that Mrs. Palin may need to break out her map and photo ID the next time she "visits" Juneau. See, she hasn't actually been in Alaska's capital since she was chosen for the Republican ticket. But she probably doesn't have a personal political agenda keeping her away from her real job!

Dan, TX   December 2nd, 2008 3:05 pm ET

Not worth commenting on.

alvy singer   December 2nd, 2008 3:04 pm ET

Enough with this woman! Please! Enough!

FreeNLovIt   December 2nd, 2008 3:04 pm ET

It's funny how everyone is aiming for 2012 or 2016 and beyond. Who knows, we may not even exists as the most powerful nation if we cant come together to do the right thing.

Tom in Delaware   December 2nd, 2008 3:04 pm ET

Increasing our debt to solve our debt problem is something that real-life bill-payers couldn't possibly understand…because we actually have to deal with bill collectors, instead of just printing up some more money like the economic geniuses profess.

But what do you know Sarah, you're state of Alaska has a budget surplus. How dare you speak the truth!

Keep it Real   December 2nd, 2008 3:03 pm ET

I am begging you to stop covering her. Please, we have had enough.

Jeff Brown   December 2nd, 2008 3:03 pm ET

Sarah who?

Todd Palin   December 2nd, 2008 3:03 pm ET

I dare someone to insult my wife.

Terri Ann the Tex Ann ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~   December 2nd, 2008 3:02 pm ET

Why is it whenever Palin is quoted, I have to go back and re-read her comments about 3 times to figure out exactly what she's saying. She starts a sentence, changes directions, adds unnecessary words, repeats portions of the sentence…. and my head is just dizzy by the time I finish trying to figure out what it is that she said.

Diane Panama City Fl   December 2nd, 2008 3:02 pm ET

Palin needs to remember that she's the only one that ran around spewing hate-mongering, race-baiting rhetoric during the campaign. Hers were much more than just "Jabs". Further, how nice of her to state the obvious. Perhaps with Senator Stevens not in the Senate anymore, giving multi-million dollar pork-barrell projects like the bridge to nowhere, we will finally have real fiscal prioritization from the Obama administration. She can count on that – ya-betcha!!!

Yamini Balachandran   December 2nd, 2008 3:02 pm ET

hmmmm!! u STILL there….

wow – the GOP does not seem to learn any lessons….

FreeNLovIt   December 2nd, 2008 3:01 pm ET

She is here to stay. There may not an America in 2012 or 2016, the way we run GREED first over RESPONSIBILITY.

Kenzie from Texas   December 2nd, 2008 3:01 pm ET

"governors “know best” about the economic issues raised Tuesday."

SO, the President leading us headfirst into this economic mess was a what before taking office? A Governor you say? Hmm..

J.G.   December 2nd, 2008 3:01 pm ET

Sarah Palin was not qualified to be President then, she is not qualified now, and she will not be qualified in 2012.

Why do the Republicans STILL insist on perpetuating this lie?

chuck   December 2nd, 2008 3:00 pm ET

It's good to have Governors with brains in the Obama 's cabinet and not idiots like Sarah Palin.

Charlene   December 2nd, 2008 3:00 pm ET

Learn to speak english before showing up again!

obama-mama   December 2nd, 2008 2:59 pm ET

There goes Sarah, palling around with terrorists…….

nikka   December 2nd, 2008 2:59 pm ET

Is it me or what Gov. Palin sais is always hard to read or understand

Drone   December 2nd, 2008 2:59 pm ET

What is this womans educational background, DEAR GOD. Why can she not articulate her thoughts well. My 4 year old newphew does a better job at structuring his sentences… I mean geez, give me a break..

Am I the only person that recognizes this.. Either she is extremelly smart, or the institutions she went to are extremely stupid, but something aint right!

Anne E.   December 2nd, 2008 2:59 pm ET

Ah, Sarah Palin……you are the only person who can ramble endlessly, say nothing, and look like a bigger fool by the time you end a sentence.

TEXAS LONGHORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   December 2nd, 2008 2:58 pm ET

Did she just slightly ADMIT that she was lying!!!!!!!??????

Not Funny she should have said remember when i called him a socialist, and a terrorist??? that was a lie!

Florida Joe   December 2nd, 2008 2:56 pm ET

The Alaska governor briefly waded into subject of Tuesday’s meeting, saying that she and other governors present had “great concerns” about increased spending under an Obama administration.

“When much of the economic problem that we are facing today perhaps was caused by too much debt, that solving those problems will not come from incurring more debt so we do have some concerns about these. This is going to be a matter of re-prioritizing federal dollars though and putting them to use in the wisest fashion for taxpayers, for constituents.”

Does she have a plan?
Does she understand that her party had the Presidency and wasted away the surplus that was left?
Will she EVER GO AWAY?

Brina   December 2nd, 2008 2:56 pm ET

She needs to pull Arnold over to the side and educate him about this debt thing. He has his hand out for CA and I think she could help.

SDunn   December 2nd, 2008 2:55 pm ET

Please go away.

FreeNLovIt   December 2nd, 2008 2:55 pm ET

Increased spending under Obama? W's spending was like 13 trillion dollars… He needs to increase spending to save America. It is needed to create jobs.

Lorna, NY   December 2nd, 2008 2:55 pm ET

My wish has not been granted. This woman will never go AWAY!
