It's a shame he wasn't nominated for Secretary of State. He's much more qualified then Senator Clinton.

I think he will do well in this role and hopefully transform it into a much more prominent position then in year's past when it's typically been glossed over and filled by a close friend or donor of the sitting president.

Always liked Richardson. Lots of experience. Since most everything gets around eventually to Commerce, he'll have a big part to play in this administration.
    Sandy,
You need to understand that these people are professionals who are there to serve their country. The Clintons and Richardson go back a very long way and they know the difference between campaigning and governanace.

who cares, Richardson is a tool, the only reason people even know who he is is because of the Clinton's. carma is a *****, and instead of getting his dream job Hillary got it, that has to sting.

Interesting that Richardson isn't showing the bitterness some posters think he should feel ... guess it takes some getting used to the idea that Obama people are putting the good of the country ahead of all else ... strange idea after the last 8 years but it feels good!

Commerce isn't the flashiest post but has a lot to do with the global economy these days ... which is where his talents and expertise are strong.... you go, Bill!

This is a good one. Let's bring a blend of "race" to the White House!
Kind of like that "PartyCake Icecream"...Hey, I hope Obamas enjoy the house that Tom, Peter, Ben, Harry and Daniel built!
