AllieD---

Wow! The logic is incredible. The market continues to fall due to all of the bad news that the current administration's policies have brought out.

Last week, the market had 5 great days. It was said that happened because Obama announced his economic team. Yesterday stunk. Why? Because as most of us with a clue already knew---we've been in a recession for a year now. But, it was finally announced yesterday.

Your guys made the mess. Our guys are already on the job cleaning up. What is Bush doing?

Jeff in Illinois--

You made the cardinal blogging mistake. You tried to use logic in your argument. It's all about emotional spewing, especially from the right wingers just hoping Obama makes a mistake.

Your maturity has no place here.

Please provide documentation where Obama, Biden or anyone else in the campaign impuned McCain's or Betrayus's patriotism or war injuries. Questioning policy or qualifications is not the same as attacking the character of the person, which is what Chambliss did to Max Cleland. Chambliss is a 4 deferrment draft dodging slime ball. It's time for the people of Georgia to correct what they screwed up so badly in 2002

But Governors leave their home state all the time for trips/meetings/events.... it's as though we have some sort of technology that could keep people connected to far away places...
Earth to Locutus - The people of Georgia will FINALLY get to voice their opinion on what's good for Georgia. Not the carpetbagging full-time campaigners of BOTH parties, not the press, not even aliens such as you Borg. Please go back to your collective in Star Trek land and let Georgians figure out what's good for Georgia

The sad thing about this race is that Palin will be given credit if this evil politician wins!

The Re...are desperately grabbing at straws now, so they will keep using her!

Be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatever a man sows, that shall he reap! Overcome evil with good!

VOTE SAXBY OUT OF TOWN!!

Yep, that is the modern-day U.S. of A.! La-la land! you football watching zombies don't realize that what saves this country is its system of checks and balances. But you all just want to keep drinking the Kool Aid and like groupies, mindlessly cheer your political party's win. That is exactly what happens in Communist regimes, theocracies, dictatorships and Banana Republics. Too much to think about little American robots???

It took me 5 minutes to vote this morning in a minority heavy district. That's not a good sign for Martin. Perhaps he would have stood a better chance if Obama hadn't been to busy doling out election paybacks with cabinet appointments..

I would love to see Martin beat Chambliss, period! It's been along time since the democrats have been fillibuster-proof (house/senate-1). This would greatly enhance PE Obama to impliment his"trial programs"with enough lead time to(at least two years) work.

Sarah Palin said what? "... to make sure that we shape bad legislation, ..." the woman who stumbles over her tongue all the time because her brain is not connected and has an inflated opinion of her intellect. Wont it just be wonderful that all those "hockeys moms" would love to have her over for tea, but who will govern? Go for it Geogia, make your vote and please put "country first."

To - Allie D December 2nd, 2008 10:51 am ET

The stock market has fallen to its lowest level in 13 years since Obama has been elected. Now he is desperately seeking help from failed, old-guard Democrats. He looks like a deer in the headlights and its obvious he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Georgia, be smart and keep a Republican in office to balance out this upcoming clueless administration.

You sure give President Elect Obama a lot of credit for someone who has a clue. He is not even President yet. The stockmarket being down is due to the fiscal resposibility of George W. Bush and the Republican party for the past 8 years.

PS: You shouldn't call anybody clueless

But Allie honey, what about the days proceeding the announcement that we have been in a recession since Dec 2007. What no credit for the climb before that!?! Amazing how stupid, one-sided and bigoted you righties are. Now it's time for all you losers to climb back until Karl Rove fat belly and sleep for 40 years while the adults clean up your mess. Nightie, night Allie!

attention everyone who is accusing the dems of trying to steal the minnesota elections. Have you forgotten a little state called Florida in 2000. That was the real theft.
Allie D December 2nd, 2008 10:51 am ET

The stock market has fallen to its lowest level in 13 years since Obama has been elected.

Allie, you and the genius who says he's proud he voted against the distribution of his paycheck need to get a lot more informed on economics. His paycheck was restributed before he even cashed it, if his employer isn't breaking the law. And the economic meltdown started as far back as January of 2006 when the Bush administration ignored warnings that the banking industry was in danger of collapse. Blame belongs to the president whose butt is in the oval office chair right now, not the president elect who hasn't even taken office yet.

I was not surprised to see the whoever's show up for Saxby but I was shocked to see McCain the war hero show up. Saxby attacked Max Clelland(a TRUE war hero),and this will not be forgotten.
Did you forget McCain, that you yourself told Saxby off about his attack on Max???????? Or do you just not care, now?????
As far as Saxby wanting Palin there.....she showed up because of her own ambition........,but she should realy avoid the mic.
Tina has more stuff now.
Then the Gov. meeting.....and again she went to the mic.....oh well.

Go Martin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I have a feeling Saxby is going to win. I voted for Martin, but the majority of people I know voted for Saxby. There is just something about Georgians and their overwhelming love for the Republican Party. Personally, I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, as a Moderate Independent I do vote Republican some time, but I stayed as far away from the Republican Party this election as I could seeing as how they seem to be behind most of the troubles (especially with regards to the economy) this country is having.

Vote for Jim Martin, not only do they both have law degrees,
Martin is a Vietnam vet, and put off his education to serve his country.
A true Hero.

Chambliss received 5 deferments, while in school. When the deferments ran out he was given a medical deferment from service because he hurt a keen playing games.
Like a JAG lawyer needs to be in the same shape as a combat ground pounder. Chambliss a true coward.

Hate to inform you , Allie D., but PE Obama is NOT President yet. If you want to cast blame for the crisis in the market, look to the current administration. They are in charge of this fiasco. They have been in charge since this recession began in December of 2007. Their poor record of mismanagement is one reason Americans voted for Barack Obama. Well, that and Sarah Palin's "qualifications"...

"...Why does the media keep trying to imply Sarah is so popular, when only a couple of thousand people usually show up for her events? This really is not a lot; it is nothing like the 100 thousand that would show up to hear Obama...."

It is SIGNIFICANTLY more than would show up to hear Joe Biden.

Palin helps Saxby defeat Martin! ha ha. Awesome. Even Barry O couldn't do anything about it.

Now ask yourselves...if she was really such a big nothing, then how could she have had this impact on the race?

Some people let their dislike of Republicans blind them to reality. And the reality is that Sarah Palin isn't going anywhere.

It is unfortunate, but likely, that the radical reactionary forces, i.e., Republicans, in Georgia will turn out in sufficient numbers to re-elect the cowardly, bigoted, ignorant, mentally deficient, morally reprobate, treasonous, un-American pitiful excuse for a human being, Saxy Chambliss, to the U. S. Senate. However, as an American who devoutely believes in our democratic values and way of life, I remain hopeful that today even the people of Georgia will chose to vote for our future.

Having Palin campaign for him was a good idea.

She energizes the Republican base. Her job is to help get them out to vote. At this stage, convincing a Democrat to vote Republican is not the agenda. There is little chance of it. It is all about turnout.

"It may just be me, but is sure seems like there are a lot of Reps who DECIDED (remember Bush is the "decider") not to go to war but want to send our sons and daughters off to fight."

Hey Roofin, Clinton wasn't in the military at all, yet he sent our soldiers overseas to fight. Carter wasn't in the military but he let civilian hostages sit and get tortured like prisoners of war and sent aid to Afghanistan against the Russians. Again, please educate yourself before you make ridiculous posts.

Bush has a rating of 26% last time I checked. That means most Republicans and all moderates like myself think he did a terrible job. It doesn't mean every Republican Senator or every Republican governor would do a bad job. People like you need to stop voting for a party and start voting principals. In this case, it could very well be to kick Chambliss out of office, but not just for being a Republican.

Georgia voter
OK I stand corrected. I did not mean Georgians by and large. I meant these loonies who voted for Palin and company. I'm sorry but I can't for the life of me understand the attraction. It's obvious that there is something sadly lacking in the intelligence of anyone who can't see through this whining spoilt woman Sarah (If I only had a brain) Palin. It's got to be the color thing with Obama. Of course Palin trades on that by formenting hatred by lying about it. Hopefully someone will see through this thinly framed moron so she can go back to Alaska and take care of her daughter. Sadly this wont happen bacause she has had a taste of fame and fortune, which was why she entered a beauty contest in the first place,. It must have really pissed her off to lose and now we are all paying for it
