(CNN) – Did Sarah Palin snub Oprah Winfrey?
That's what the most popular daytime talk show host and fervent Barack Obama supporter appeared to suggest in a recent interview with the entertainment show Extra.
"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”
Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show.
Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she will tape her inauguration week show in the nation’s capital, and has rented the Kennedy Center’s lush Opera House – which seats roughly 2,300 — to serve as her studio.
“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Oprah said of Obama's inauguration. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”

Who can blame Sarah Palin? Oprah made it clear from the beginning that she was a Sarah Palin hater. Oprah is yet another ego-inflated celebrity who thinks her fame is enough to influence simple-minded people to vote the way she wants them to.
Really? The most historic event on earth? Rather grandiose thinking for someone who helped promote incompetence. Oprah and those like her cheer this self-designated "historic" event. Constantly comparing "that one" to Lincoln and MLK jr. only serves to reinforce for the rest of us, as we stand ready to cheer when history repeats itself.
For all the folks who have never actually been in a room with Sarah Palin or spoke with her let me tell you....she was in Duluth, GA on behalf of Chambliss, and most folks were there to see her because when she came in the crowd went crazy and folks waited after just to have her sign their memo.....so she must have something going for her...never mind the oil in her back yard?....thankfully he won and can say she made a difference in her visit to GA.
Hey Carole, Unfortunately for you, Sarah Palin does have brains. She's smart enough to be able to understand Oprah's selfish motivations and not oblige them.
What a same, Winfrey didn't get her way as usual.

I've been a Baptist Christian all my life and I must say........these holier-than-thou, hypocritical, right-wing, nutballs are what's wrong with this country. NO ONE knows for certain what the afterlife will bring...it's a BELIEF! We believe in our God, the same way, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. believe in theirs! Oprah not having Palin on her show has NOTHING to do with God! Get over yourselves!
Oprah was incorrect to say: "Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”" Oprah must not know about the Bible and the following :

the Lord.’ " He did not say I give you Obama. Not anything that has ever happened nor will ever happen to beat the night Jesus Christ, only Son of God was born into this sinful world not to make history althought He did, not to make oprah's show better but to better mankind. May you remember this instead ot the spotlight on a human man whose spotlight will dim but Jesus' never will dim throughout the history of this ungodly world of mankind.

Why oh why would you want to have Palin on your show? It can't be to engage in an intelligent coversation – because that won't happen, so it must be solely for ratings. Shame on you for being a part of this Palin side show. We are ALL TIRED OF HER, and want her to just find the fastest toboggan back to Alaska.

We love and supported President-Elect Obama for the person he is, the character and integrity he portrays, and his genuine desire to bring change to our country (Issues anyone?) We know who the real God is! Do you?

Steve has as much right to say stupid things as you do. The only difference is he has a good point, every time someone pushes the envelope of "normality" they are setting themselves up to be knocked down. If Obama goes unmolested that will be truley historical, and you requesting that CNN not extend Steves first amendment rights to him won't change what is almost inevadable. There have already been two plots to harm this man and he isn't even president yet, I know they were just a bunch of morons who were totaly inept, but thats a good thing for Michelle and the girls. This is still America and we still have the right to say pretty much anything we like, so please dont forget that if Steve looses that right you will too.

Does that mean Oprah Winfrey does not believe in the existance of Jesus Christ on planet earth? or is the inauguration of Obama more important than the birth and death of Jesus Christ here on planet earth?
Nobody really cares to see more of Palin making a fool of herself except the fools who want soap opera cartoon characters to live vicariously thru and cant focus on something like a real issue and select someone of substance to lead our country. I want to learn more and more about Obama who is our President now ...not a hasbeen ditzy like Palin.
As for those who attack Opra over this, it must be hard to see a wildly successful, rich, accomplished, bright and beloved figure like Opra who has succeeded despite having had plenty of challenges AND see Obama as President, despite so many not thinking he could possibly win in the face of prejudice and fear and competing against better known politicians..
Get over it. Cream rises to the top. Both of these Americans are outstanding. We should be proud of what Americans can do and overcome to get where they are. We should admire their accomplishments. We who have not had to deal with racial prejudice or being raised by a single parent or overcome what they have should not belittle them .
