(CNN) – Did Sarah Palin snub Oprah Winfrey?
That's what the most popular daytime talk show host and fervent Barack Obama supporter appeared to suggest in a recent interview with the entertainment show Extra.
"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over... I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”
Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show.
Earlier this week, the talk show host announced she will tape her inauguration week show in the nation’s capital, and has rented the Kennedy Center’s lush Opera House – which seats roughly 2,300 — to serve as her studio.
“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Oprah said of Obama's inauguration. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.”

As if this will hur Oprah. If she did interview her that is one show I would not watch. Had enough her. It just go to prove that she don't like black people anyway.

I never listen to anything Sarah Palin guests on. I would have watched her with Oprah, because it would have been interesting to see if she could keep up a decent conversation with a natural woman.
Palin wouldn't talk to Oprah because Oprah would not throw her soft ball questions like Hannity and the other Repub hacks did. Oprah is a responsible interviewer and would have called Palin out on everything she (Palin) DOESN'T know. No excuses. Without a gun in her hand and a moose in her sight (from a helicopter of course, she would never actually FACE anything, a question or a wild animal), she is a know-nothing tool, and her time in the spotlight is over already...she's not worthy of appearing on Oprah!

Winfrey played political favorites and continues to do so. Palin doesn't need Oprah nor the women who idealize her. So good for Palin to play it cool.

I agree that Obama's election is historic and a wonderful moment in American history, but I'm a bit miffed by Oprah's quote "there’s never been a night like this on the planet earth… Nothing can compare to this.” I have a feeling that countries who have elected black leaders would disagree that "there's never been a night like this on planet earth." There are many countries that have overcome the issue of slavery to elect black leaders. Haiti for example, elected its first black president long before America even ended slavery - and there are lots of other examples.

I love how Oprah is doing a CYA and trying to play the sympathy card. She could care less for Palin, pre or post election... she made that quite clear during the campaign (IMO).

One should be magnanimous in victory......although it seemed that on every front, the GOP has tried to come out of this heated presidential election bitter and angry and has never learned their lessons well (except maybe for their GOP standard-bearer, who showed that he was really an Officer and a Gentleman, bless him!), the rest of them still cultivates in their hearts and minds and in the hearts and minds of their constituents the "holier-than-thou", "i am better than you", ultra-conservative views of the twisted, corrupted and most defiled white immigrant mind who can not accept a president who has a different color than their skin - and that is the most basic issue that we all have to contend with, no matter how they will cover this up with other lame issues. The truth of the matter is, we have President Obama as our 44th president and he has at least 4 years to prove his worth to all of us so let us give him a chance and not foretell what will happen to us even before it happens.
Whether or not Palin will show up in Oprah is beyond the point.....we have to move on....Oprah, your show will be TOPS no matter who you guest in it!
