Palin didn't snub Oprah, spokesman says

Palin didn't snub Oprah, a spokesman said.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's camp is denying claims she's is snubbing talk show host Oprah Winfrey, telling CNN Monday the decision was "nothing personal" - the Alaska governor has just been flooded with so many media requests she simply hasn't had the time to sit down with the daytime talk show icon.

“The governor was invited to appear. She was also invited to appear on Letterman, Leno, Stephanopoulos, The Daily Show. She passed on a vast majority of these requests," Bill McAllister, Palin's communications director and press secretary.

"We’re up to about 250 requests for interviews and appearances and so on. It’s worldwide, there’s still a tremendous amount of interest. It’s nothing personal about Oprah, it’s just that she turned down the vast majority of these requests."

A Palin appearance at a later date is still possible, said McAllister: “I’m not aware that it’s been ruled out.”

Winfrey - the popular daytime talk show host and strong Barack Obama supporter - seemed to suggest last week that Palin was deliberately avoiding her show.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over…" she said in an interview with the entertainment show Extra. "I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she'd refused to offer an invitation to the former vice presidential candidate.

Who cares if Palin ever appears on Oprah show ? Havent we heard enough of that screechy voice and incomprehensible and gramatically incorrect sentences ? If Oprah is really interested, just throw some money at her. Palin is cheap and not picky when there are freebies to be had, just about $180,000 will do – a drop in the ocean as far as Oprah's wealth is concern.

So first people were pissed that she couldn't go on Oprah during the election, and now they're defending that she isn't going on Oprah after she was invited? Make up your minds.

Sarah Palin is a rock star. she has an 80% approval rating in her home state of Alaska. 57 million people voted for macai/palin, she continues to draw large crowds where ever she goes . People really like her honesty, her resolve and her practical approach to problems.I like her and i think she will be a force in 2012 if she decides to run.The continual bashing of her only seems to make her stronger as was shown when she campaigned in Georgia. The crowds were huge and they all seem to like her a lot. I wish we had more honest and straight forward type politicians of her ilk in Canada where i come from . GO SARAH2012

I wish Palin would say she is snubbing Oprah. Oprah made her opinions very clear despite keeping her show "political free," so why should she reap any benefit from Palin now. In fact I think it's sort of insulting that she'd even ask.

Why should Palin grace Winfrey's show? Winfrey is just a highly overrated, extremely boring egoist who, like so many others with limited talent, was in the right place at the right time and has a great PR organization backing her. Let Winfrey fawn over the Obama family – she seems to do that just fine. But spare us the "gee she won't talk to me" whine. You're not the end-all-be-all and most of the country could care less what you have to say – about anything.

As for you intolerant Liberals, it's amazing how your "wunderkid" is changing his tune daily from his campaign promises, and he hasn't even been sworn in yet. Are we ready yet to say "I told you so"?

Oprah fell all over Obama and endorsed him. Then, snubbed Palin and wouldn't put her on her show. So, why then should Palin jump when Oprah now wants to interview Palin? Oprah is nothing more than a spoiled talk show host whose ratings have declined ever since she enthusiastically endorsed Obama.

Palin can do her ire & brimstone act or maybe fall on the ground and speak in tongues.

Better yet, just go away Palin. You had your more than 15 minutes of fame. Most people see you for the fool that you are.

What could the idiot possibly have to talk about? Her clothes? Trust me Ms. Oprah will still be in business tomorrow, worth BILLIONS and will not have wasted an hour of her life without interviewing the village idiot from Alaska. P.S. When the idiot wants to push a book that no one wants to read, don't reach out to Oprah. Idiot

Let me tell you I am a Republican and for the demorcrats that are saying that Palin is snubbing winfrey she is not. First of all I would not blame her if she was doing it on purpose but you democrats need to realize she is not like obama who steals election she stands out and stands up for what she believes in. Unlike obama, reid, and pelosi who are saying look what is she thinking. let me tell you what she is thinking she is thinking that she is going to play this fair.

She won't agree to be on any show that makes her out to be a complete idiot, which she is anyway.

Palin should be a grandma any day now. Does that mean that she may spend a little time with her family to provide some help to her daughter who will certainly need help since she is just a child herself. NAH ! That would be asking too much of the diva.

I don't understand why Republicans are so impressed with Palin's ability to govern a state with an entire population of only 680 thousand. Metro Atlanta has a population 10 times that of the entire state of Alaska. I'm pretty sure that I could govern Alaska without too much trouble.

Why in the world would she want to come onto another Hostile Show???Do u think Oprah loves Palin ??? Pffft give me a break...Think of all the people who ran for president : Bill Clinton,George Bush,Al Gore,Hillary Clinton and the list could go on and on not one person Democrat ,Republican ,and Independant was Worthy for Oprah to Endorse save for a Black Man she actually thought had more than a Snowballs Chance in a blast furnace of winning??? And u guys think she Really Gives a Care that a Woman Ran For Office PFFFTTTT !!!! Oprah i believe is just trying to cover her Butt to keep the Chicks still tuning into the show...I believe Oprah Winfrey is a Racist who loves making Many Many Millions and Prob Billions off from White People...I say Black people u wanna complain all ur lives for ever about being a Slave??Send all of the Whiners Back to Africa i doubt most of them would even live the rest of their lives out without being killed by Famine,Or Macheted to death by roving Crazed Mobs...When u feel the Need to cry about being a Slave Rember,Whites was Slaves before too who they goona Complain too,Indians Lost this Entire Contient Pretty well to white people, and was butchered into near extinction, and made slaves save the indians would not be slaves and would sit down and die first...So if u black people don't like the idea of being in America Africa is just across the Ocean Have at it...

  24. What????

Please cite the date and time that Obama was on the Oprah Winfrey show. She endorsed him at a campaign event but he never appeared on her show as did no other candidates.

Palin quite simply was unqualified to be VP of the United States and also talking in coherent sentences would be a definite bonus.
