Palin didn't snub Oprah, spokesman says

Palin didn't snub Oprah, a spokesman said.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's camp is denying claims she's is snubbing talk show host Oprah Winfrey, telling CNN Monday the decision was "nothing personal" - the Alaska governor has just been flooded with so many media requests she simply hasn't had the time to sit down with the daytime talk show icon.

“The governor was invited to appear. She was also invited to appear on Letterman, Leno, Stephanopoulos, The Daily Show. She passed on a vast majority of these requests," Bill McAllister, Palin's communications director and press secretary.

"We’re up to about 250 requests for interviews and appearances and so on. It’s worldwide, there’s still a tremendous amount of interest. It’s nothing personal about Oprah, it’s just that she turned down the vast majority of these requests."

A Palin appearance at a later date is still possible, said McAllister: “I’m not aware that it’s been ruled out.”

Winfrey - the popular daytime talk show host and strong Barack Obama supporter - seemed to suggest last week that Palin was deliberately avoiding her show.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over…" she said in an interview with the entertainment show Extra. "I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she'd refused to offer an invitation to the former vice presidential candidate.

I believe Paris Hilton would defeat Sarah Palin in Alaskan Gubernatorial Election if she were to be a resident of Alaska and if she would, being an Alaskan, run for the same office.

    Cheers.

Make it stop, make it stop, oh God please make it stop. She had nothing important to say during the campaign, why do we want to hear from her now?

If she did or she did not, thank God America was spared anymore of Sarah Palin. See needs to stay in Alaska doing what she does best: shooting mose, watching Russia from her house, and keeping an eye on Putin as he rears his head into Alaska airspace!

The Left is a lot more angry than the Palin fans right now. Seems they actually did believe the Change line.

CNN is declaring Obama was always a centrist as I write this.

    Who Knew?!?

(hint: not the lefties, and not the Obama cult members who sent all those self righteous messages to the rest of us all summer.)

It's so much seeing Obama act exactly like Hillary Clinton would and Bill Clinton DID! He even hired Clinton's staff.

CHANGE? I must have missed something along way...

    Dissolving in gales of laughter...........!

excuse me, what's up with the "Black woman" comment? is that really what you pulled from this article – this is because Oprah's a Black woman! I almost can't believe what I'm reading. Do you really know Oprah's story? What really do you know about Black women? How ridiculous! I wish CNN had not have posted such a hateful statement.

Not a Palin fan...but not an Oprah fan at all. If Palin snubber her – I guess Oprah has to get over it.

It's all about you Oprah...isn't it?

Seems to be a non-issue. Gov. Palin deserves the same respect that Pres-Elect Obama deserves. No one has to do an opera interview. I am amazed how ever one wants tolerance for as long as it only includes being tolerant of their own point of view. No there really hasn't been any change, and that is a shame.

Sure would be nice if some of you folks would bother to read the article before you posted a comment:
"Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she refused to invite the former vice presidential candidate on her popular daytime show."

Maybe she's tired of the Oprah haters making up stupid rumours..oh yeah – this article is a major waste of bandwidth...just sayin'

Oprah was being accused of snubing Palin by not inviting her on her show because she supported Obama. Oprah was just setting the record straight and saying she had invited her and Palin chose not to come on the show. Sounds like the Palin camp didn't communicate why she didn't want to which would have helped matters.

The Republicans do all this whining about not getting media attention and this woman has nothing to say and seems to be everywhere.

Obama's not even Prez yet, and he's out there working hard on an economic recovery plan, etc. What is Palin worried about?–which TV show to be on. This, folks, is definitely a no-brainer.

She better not go on Oprah if does not want to answer real question like that 200 grand her and those hillbillies spent in two months, and that show will be used aginst her in the future she should just be a good govdenor rebuild her repo, and go from there. She is still wearing the GOP clothing she still has questions about Obama paling around with terrorist. She will not be able to tell Oprah I amnot going to answer the questions. She talked to who was going to give her an easy ride Matt and her girlfriend Greta. Greta is on love with her.

If Sarah COULD talk, she would be on the show.

Oprah won't limit her questions to those Sarah
doesn't have to think to answer.

If she is the best the Republican's have, the democrats
should have the White House for the next 16 years.

Palin is a waste of time. When she writes her lousy book, she'll go to Oprah to try to hawk it to any idiot out there who wants to buy it.
