Palin didn't snub Oprah, spokesman says

Palin didn't snub Oprah, a spokesman said.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's camp is denying claims she's is snubbing talk show host Oprah Winfrey, telling CNN Monday the decision was "nothing personal" - the Alaska governor has just been flooded with so many media requests she simply hasn't had the time to sit down with the daytime talk show icon.

“The governor was invited to appear. She was also invited to appear on Letterman, Leno, Stephanopoulos, The Daily Show. She passed on a vast majority of these requests," Bill McAllister, Palin's communications director and press secretary.

"We’re up to about 250 requests for interviews and appearances and so on. It’s worldwide, there’s still a tremendous amount of interest. It’s nothing personal about Oprah, it’s just that she turned down the vast majority of these requests."

A Palin appearance at a later date is still possible, said McAllister: “I’m not aware that it’s been ruled out.”

Winfrey - the popular daytime talk show host and strong Barack Obama supporter - seemed to suggest last week that Palin was deliberately avoiding her show.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over…" she said in an interview with the entertainment show Extra. "I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she'd refused to offer an invitation to the former vice presidential candidate.

Why would Oprah even want her on the show? She is dull as dishwater and dumb to boot. Hopefully overexposure will get people bored with her and the media can move on to their next Bimbo of the hour.

What could Palin talk about? She will have to get a diploma just to answer Oprahs questions correctly and legibly. The only thing she knows how to do is make divisive comments to separate large groups of people and dress a moose, maybe put lipstick on a pit bull.

Sarah is so very cool, she can call her own shots,if she hasn't won you over yet,she will-well maybe not everybody. I doubt if you will ever like her if :you don't like moms, you are against close families, you do not like high achievers, you do not like good looking women, you are looking for hand outs, etc.

Lee, you're LYING!She is talking to those that will agree with her. That lady questioning Biden was a conservative and her husband was co chair of the state's GOP. She was asking stupid questions, while Couric and others asked honest questions but Palin was too ignorant to understand. It's an odvious snub as Oprah endorsed Obama. Get over it GOP! Obama now, and as of January 20, 2009, it'll be President Obama!

Palin SHOULD snub Oprah! Ignore Oprah. After Tom Cruise, she isn't what she used to be.

Oprah doesn't need Palin. Palin doesn't need Oprah. What would be the point of an interview?

  19. Nature

It is all imperfect human nature, as Oprah herself, David Letterman, Bill Maher, Barbara Streissand and Barack Obama, who is addicted to nicotine. If he is in the public eye, he should feel little responsible, how can parents tell their kids not smoke while the commander-in-chief is an example right before their very eyes, at least be responsibel to his own children and spouse, and friends. He looked right into the eyes of Tom Brokaw, on public television, and said he already quit smoking, really?? Where there is a will, there is success... in quiting smoking, in the information age everyone knows the harmful effect of nicotine, statistically. If he has nothing to hide, so why shouldn't he show his birth-certificate to the whole world, on television and in newspapers, the American people want to know about all pubilc figures??

Hi Tim, your spelling skills are horrible, I definitely know who you voted for. How difficult is it to spell Oprah. If you are mad because Palin didn't win then you are clearly very stupid. Anyone who supported that woman (notice here I focus on Palin and not McCain), is ignorant as hell. She is a human being, she is allowed to support whoever the hell she wishes to.

Just as was declared last week, Oprah trying to get attention with the same kind of gross allegations without any support for such wild claims like Star Jones or Ba wa Walters and others who have taken to accusations without merit, you know, like Rosie. All attempts for falling numbers.

Sounds like Tyra's numbers must be on the rise more! lol

Tim and Bill, you suck! Why bring up race? NO ONE has but YOU?! That's why the GOP are losing, because they focus on older white peole rather than Americans.
