Palin didn't snub Oprah, spokesman says

Palin didn't snub Oprah, a spokesman said.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's camp is denying claims she's is snubbing talk show host Oprah Winfrey, telling CNN Monday the decision was "nothing personal" - the Alaska governor has just been flooded with so many media requests she simply hasn't had the time to sit down with the daytime talk show icon.

“The governor was invited to appear. She was also invited to appear on Letterman, Leno, Stephanopoulos, The Daily Show. She passed on a vast majority of these requests," Bill McAllister, Palin's communications director and press secretary.

"We’re up to about 250 requests for interviews and appearances and so on. It’s worldwide, there’s still a tremendous amount of interest. It’s nothing personal about Oprah, it’s just that she turned down the vast majority of these requests."

A Palin appearance at a later date is still possible, said McAllister: “I’m not aware that it’s been ruled out.”

Winfrey - the popular daytime talk show host and strong Barack Obama supporter - seemed to suggest last week that Palin was deliberately avoiding her show.

"I said I would be happy to talk to Sarah Palin when the election was over…" she said in an interview with the entertainment show Extra. "I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn't talk to me.”

Winfrey’s comments came in response to rumors she'd refused to offer an invitation to the former vice presidential candidate.

But Oprah might ask some of those "gotcha" questions! You know, the ones that anyone with the slightest bit of education who has ever read a real newspaper knows the answers to... Thank You America for not voting for this idiot.

Let her go own her merry way. We have had enough pettiness for eight years in America. It is refreshing to find someone as President Elect Obama who doesnot let pettiness run his life. From the mean and untrue things Palin said during the election, one would think she learn some lessons.Oh yea, I use the work think, sorry. Oprah ignore her, when she wants to run for president she will call you to be on your show. Palin should learn a lesson my parents taught me many years ago, don't burn your bridges and you will never know who will lend you a helping hand. It works in life and I am sure in politics also.

In other words she snubbed Oprah...but, who cares? Oprah simply stated that Palin did other interviews and not her show. It was others that made a big deal about saying Palin should go on Oprah's show and later about Oprah not having Palin on during the election. Now that the election is over, Palin is free to do the show (as her superfans wanted her too) and chose not to.

It's amazing how intolerant and hateful the liberals are. They hate Sarah Palin and think that it's a virtue. But hate is hate, no matter who is doing it.

Screw O. She's not entitled to special interviews. She put herself in the middle of this election thing. Publicly blocking political people who disagreed with her candidate from being on her show. She gets what she deserves. I'm not a Palin fan but I hope she never goes on there. Where was O when all this women bashing was going on? It was ok if it helped her candidate. She crossed the line & has no right to whine about anything.

Gia, your snide comment reflects a deep problem with your self respect. Of course, that problem is indeed warranted, since if you were flattened by a steamroller into a paper-thin stain, no one would care a whit.

The only thing I learned from these comments is that so-called liberals are very mean-spirited and like to engage in mindless name calling.

Greta, Matt & Co. are all news reporters, not soft-touch talk show hosts. Oprah's just running a daytime gossip show. Besides, Oprah only talks to people on HER schedule? Gosh – it must be nice.

Why does Gov. Palin have to talk to Oprah. Palin is a Gov. of a USA state with better things to do. Oprah is just a talk show person in another state. Does Oprah talk to her state gov.

rogmed get your facts straight. Obama was on Oprah before he was a candidate. Once they declared, Oprah said she'd have none of them on and she didn't.

Thanks said, why do anyone of them think we want to hear another word out of this horrid person? She can't even form a coherent sentence for chrissakes!
