(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.
The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.
"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."
Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.
In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.
"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Howzabout somebody "name names" about actual US Presidents who are completely inactive amidst what may be one of the greatest financial crises ever to hit the country! At least he had his portrait painted. And that "cup of coffee" he had with Paulson the other day really instilled global confidence.

Rove really needs to be told by every intelligent, fair-minded citizen of this country that his tired brand of hate-mongering and truth-twisting was completely repudiated in the last election. It's time for him to crawl back under his Texas rock and just be grateful he's found a publishing house desperate enough to publish his spewings of garbage and, presumably, an audience stupid enough to shell out cash for his worthless, distorted view of events.

Sorry, Rove, the reason a LOT of people didn't accept him as President was that he really didn't win the election in 2000, and did a crummy job all 8 years since the Supreme Court gave him the election. He's been one of the worst in our history. And the fact that you are "naming names" just is sour grapes on your part because your attempt to get McCain elected using the same tactics didn't work this time. You are the "man behind the curtain" and just like the Wizard of Oz, you are not mighty and powerful, but just a two-bit hussler that took advantage of the people of this land with your slight of hand and king-building. Go home, shut up, and give us all a break!
This is just an attempt to market a book and that is all! Does it matter after George W. Bush leaves office who his some to many detractors could possibly be? In light of publishers telling George W. Bush to wait several years before publishing his memoirs so that potential buyers AND readers can be found, Rove is performing a similar adventure but hawking his book to be read by only one reader bodes poorly unless he can stimulate readership with this affront to common sense! Does it matter who all the detractors of George W. Bush may be? These may as well get in line with the rest of the American public!
The only people that will be interested in Rove's "tell all" book will be those who are looking to see if their names appear in it. What a waste of money, time, and material. How many trees were needed to serve this self-serving book?
When are the American people going to fess up to voting for that moron not once, but twice? No one seems to have done it, and therefore you can all blame Karl Rove like he was in the booth forcing your hands. Granted, half the voters had some brains, but to think a good half of your country wanted him in for two terms is scary to say the least! On par with that is now just about as many want Palin in charge at the White House, YIKES!
