Rove vows to 'name names'

Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.
Rove says he will name his enemies in a new book.

(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.

The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.

"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."

Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.

In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.

"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

Given the way Bush initially took office, it is very difficult to get behind him. The voters didn't select him. A certain official in Florida and the Supreme Court selected him. Since that time, he has shown blatant disregard for the US Constitution, lost our moral standing with an unjust war which he lied to get into, etc. I could go on and on.

One additional item. Respect is earned, not given. Bush did nothing to earn my respect.

Well Karl, now you know how the Clintons felt & still feel. They were looked down on as ignorant rednecks when they hit town. The Washington elites have never forgiven them for winning elections & being popular with most of the American people. Washington did the same with Jimmie Carter. If you are not from the east or far west you just poor white trash the in that snobbish town called D.C

I'm a Democrat but if you be honest you know this is true and what has actually happend is that all of the Bush haters swung at Bush but they hit the country, and that's a lot of the reason that we are in the condition that we are in I wonder what's going to happen next?

I wonder how big is this book going to be.
It may not take a long time however. All he has to do is copy the names from all the telephone directories in the country and exclude the names from the Bush administration.

    Thats it.. Duh

The only thing I want to hear from or about Karl rove is what Federal prison he will go to. He should be in the same cell block with Jane Fonda.

What a crock. The same argument was made about Bill Clinton. He only had to worry about his OWN advisors stabbing him in the back.

Blow away, Rove, your time is through.

The media has doomed President Bush from the start. This is what Bush had to deal with:
    – The huge dot.com bubble
    – 9/11
    – Katrina/Rita
    – Housing collapse

All of the above (except the hurricanes) were because of the Clinton administration, or Congress. Clinton administration wanted everyone to have mortgages...many who couldn't afford it. How is that Bush's fault.
The vile coverage of Bush is a detriment to democracy. Is it shocking why the newspaper industry is failing? The liberal bloggers-please read something other than gossip and left wing hate, and wake up.

Kristy, get a grip - Karl Rove wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the nose. He's as slimy as slimy gets and I don't know why anyone would put any stock in anything that man has to say.

1.5 million to name names? Appalling in this economic climate. He should donate the money to charity.

  20. Change - Yeah Left

I can't wait to see it; but I know that it won't matter – the Far Left Dems never accepted anything in their lives that they didn't totally and utterly control.

It's amazing how much damage they did and how their pets – the media just lost interest when things which could HURT the democrats came out.

I hope he prints my name, I certainly never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief. Bush and his texas thugs stole the election in 2000.
