(CNN) – Enemies of President Bush take heed: Karl Rove is set to name names.
The man widely credited with Bush's two presidential victories says his new book will include an accounting of those in Washington who never accepted the president as a legitimate commander-in-chief.
"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove told Cox News in an interview published Sunday. "I'm going to name names and show examples."
Rove signed a deal with publishing giant Simon & Schuster last year, reported be worth over $1.5 million.
In the wide-ranging interview, Rove also suggested the criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment.
"You'll notice there was outrage when it was thought that I was the person behind outing Valerie Plame. And then when it came out that it was the sainted [Deputy Secretary of State] Richard Armitage, there was no interest," Rove said. "I don't remember seeing anybody camped out on his doorstep like they were camped out on mine. [It's]because he was part of the acceptable culture of Washington, and I was not. I was one of those Texans who came up. He was one of those perpetual I'll-scratch-your-back-if-you'll-scratch-mine Washington leakers. "

It sounds like he is putting together a list of the smartest people in Washington. -
Wake up Liberals @ 12:21: "Are the liberals shaking in their heels yet? ..."
Yep, that's it! You've got all liberals pegged! We're all SOOOO scared of slimeball Rove "naming names." That would be like O.J. writing a book about which members of the Goldman family hate him (ie – there would be no surprises). Give me a break!
This may end up being the only book in the Bush library.
Amazing the amount of hate directed towards President Bush. Yet many liberals expect the Conservatives and "right-wingers" to just accept President-Elect Obama as the be all and end all of Presidents. Tell you all what...I give him the respect due his office and title when you all start giving President Bush the respect due his office and title. You can't have it both ways.
LOL there is going to be a whole lot of spin on the bush administration and more than enough finger pointing. these folks were never about reality, it was and is all about appearances. the problem for them is that after 8 years everyone sees through their charade. hopefully there are a lot of investigations, charges and convictions. for the good of the country there needs to be an accounting of the "above the law" attitude this administration exhibited.
Cool, I hope he does..and ends with his! Wouldn't it be nice to know how really corrupt the Bush administration was. We know it was the most corrupt in history, we just do not know the extent!
Karl, history will not be kind to your former employer, nor will you be shielded from scrutiny once the Bush Administration is gone. There are many people, (Don't bother naming them Karl, it'll take too long) that are probably lining up to 'fess up once Bush/Rove/et. al. can't do them any more harm.
You took political discourse and campaigning to a new, disgusting low, and now you can't take the just rewards you have so richly earned. Man up, Karl, you are always going to be remembered as the smart, fat unattractive guy that everyone hated, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
"The criticisms the president and his aides took were partly because they were not part of the Washington establishment." Riiiiight, Karl, it absolutely couldn't have been because the president and his aides were lying sacks-o-poo.
So KR, who is a criminal and belongs in jail, is going to publish a book with the names of those who never liked or trusted Dubya. I'll pick up a copy at the library (so he doesn't get any of my money) to find those who are worthy of praise and support.
What a shocker! There were actually people in DC who didn't accept dubya as the President? Too bad they weren't more influential, maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are.
How typical of the driving force behind this Administration. There are no limits on Rove's and Bush's smear tactics and scorched-earth red-herrings - anything to avoid accountability for their own actions and, many would say, crimes. Now we're to believe that the last eight years of deception, abuse, political manipulation, cronyism and corruption is simply because Bush felt 'left out'?!
That sounds like nothing if not a childish temper tantrum. The country will be paying the consequences, in blood and treasure, for decades.
And I am curious how Rove can explain his and Bush's imperious, repeated statements that they "don't govern according to the polls"? Neither of you cared what people thought as you took the country down this road to ruin. Geez, if you'd have just let us know up front you're both small, insecure little men yearning for acceptance, we could have thrown you a blankie after you stole the election, and all of this might have been avoided, eh?
Priceless..
To Peggy
Can you believe that we will now have a president who is not a citizen and will have so many people to answer to that he will be nothing more than a puppet in office? BO is not qualified to be the president.
You are all so ignorant and hypocritical. It is an honorable thing to do if you don't accept Bush but a evil racist thing if you do not accept BO??
Give me a break!!!!
NOBAMA 2012
Does he mean this as a threat? You'd think at this point that anyone, Republican or Democrat, would be proud to have realized, years before everyone else got wise, that Bush was not legitimate. Can we submit our own names for inclusion? Please?
I'm gonna buy me a copy of that book. I'm gonna buy 100 of em, and burn them all!
Doughboy needs to work out and get a tan. Yuck.
Rove's trying to make people believe it's because he's an "outsider" and Bush was from Texas that people didn't like them. He's still spinning. Whoever he names should get a medal. Not enough like them. Obama's from out of town too – and EVERYONE is jumping to help him. Your argument is weak, old Sith Lord. Your naming names is their apotheosis. Now go to the elephant graveyard and don't forget how you divided the country in the worst possible way.
This vermin should be behind bars. He's done more to destroy our country than any terrorist out there. He's certainly sent the republican party back to the middle ages.
He can name what he wants to name. but, he belongs in prison. Ignore a Congressional supeona and see where you end up.
He is a bright example of how Republicans don't respect the law.
Ohh hey party at my house for those guys who never saw bush as a legitimate president! seriously come over guys ill send you all my mailing address to whom ever interested! haha
BTW, Maggie in SC – 20,000 troops is a Division, not a battalion. Just FYI
Mr. Rove, add me to the list but don't look for me to spend a dime on your petty diatrabe.
In response to 'Wake up Liberals': "I actually did very well under Bush, I really don't have any sympathy for the fools who didn't." This doesn't say much for you as a human being. I hope others don't agree with this sentiment (though I'm afraid many do). Very Un-Christian. I don't think that anyone who is a true follower of Christ, including President Bush, would approve of that sentiment, either. And I can think of one liberal who didn't vote for the war.
Please name them all....they are national heroes and we need to build a wall to those who resisted the insanity of the last 8 years.
Why isn't Tubby McTreason in jail. This pathetic moron is a criminal. Go ahead, name names, George Bush wasn't a legitimate president. While he is at it, let him explain how the 2000 and 2004 elections were rigged.
as the blackwater thugs under murder charges are going to
start "NAME NAMES" and "give examples" of
what Rove and his "neo-con buddies" have been up to for the last 3 decades.
lawyers having hard time finding jobs right now?
don't worry. there will be more than plenty of work for all of you and more SOON!
